@@tutia3260 you mix about 2 heaping teaspoons of tumeric, juice half a small lemon or 1 teaspoon of bottle lemon juice and 1 teaspoon of honey. It should be enough for 1 application. Apply the paste on your cleaned skin for 20 minutes and rinse it off well :)

Tuti A thats really good advice she gave you but keep in mind if your very white I am telling you from my experience it’ll probably stain your skin yellow for a bit. So keep that in mind !

For the shimmer rose water to get all the nutrients out boil the roses for like 5-10 mins then let it cool and then do the same thing as A did

Its recommended to steep rose petals like a tea for 10mins. Boiling will make all the good stuff evaporate.

This is almost exactly what I was going to write! Boiling the rose petals is the best way to get all of the nutrients out of the roses, also remember to press the petals before removing them from the water. 😊😉💯

So I ended up making this, the scrub a couple of days ago because why not. Honestly it's day 3 and my legs feel extra smooth and I honestly notice a difference already in my skim pigmentation. I used this on my knees and shoulder where I have black scars and it's quite noticeably lighter. Thank you so much Adrienne!!

I’ve personally have been using this sugar scrub for years, except I add organic vanilla extract and along with the lemon juice I add lemon zest. My overall skin on my body is so soft especially after shaving! I love how easy it is to make! But I never tried with rose petals definitely want to try that! It’s also I nice lip scrub to take on the go btw Love your channel!!

AJ JJ you may want to try using Sweet Almond Oil or maybe Avocado oil?🤔 I’m not totally certain about them but I know coconut oil is comedogenic (will clog your pores) and not everyone’s skin can handle it. Those other 2 may be a better option. Just another option for you

I also make diy body products. I love making body scrubs. I make mine with brown sugar..lemon zest..vanilla extract..honey and olive oil. Its bomb to use in the winter and it taste so good.

I've been making a sugar/coconut oil/essential oil scrub for close to 15 years now. It's a staple for me. I really like the idea of adding fresh rose petals and lemon! Thanks for sharing, Adrienne!

Yes I exfoliate before shaving, not only to bring the hairs up but it also prevents you from shaving off the dead skin as opposed to scrubbing it off

This is true. It should be like this. If you shave first, exfoliation will only rip up some of the tiny tiny wounds caused by shaving

Roses, Coconut and lemon are my favourite summer scents :) I love this idea Adrienne and you should definitely do more DIY body skincare videos because this is great! I made this body scrub and body mist a few days ago and I could not believe how soft and silky it feels. I'm making more today so I can use it in the shower tonight before I go out on date night with my hubby as it feels great to have silky smooth skin when wearing a dress and heels 🌹💄👗👠

Lemon juice (only) directly on skin is pretty abrasive tbh. I just use an AHA (alpha hydroxy acid) body wash and serum on mine and wear sunscreen so that it doesn't get worse. It's LIFE-CHANGING!!!

Exfoliation does not stop hair growth. You may have something else going on.

Question! The coconut oil scrub. Once you use it how do you store it. Do you microwave the jar before every use?

Edely Fernandez if you microwave it the sugar will dissolve then it won’t be a scrub anymore so that’s a bad idea. I would say just store it in a cool place outside the shower and just take it with you when you want to use it. That will keep excess moisture out. Also don’t keep it too long cause there’s no preservatives, make a small batch if you won’t use it fast enough.
