Thank you Webby, your review is simple and precise with no exaggerations, thank you for this review it definitely helped me deciding either to go for XLT or Wildtrak. XLT is not a bad option price wise.
Webby could you do a detailed vid on the dash on the Windtrak, interested to see the different screens the driver can access. Great vids keep up the good work.
@Brian Williams I’m really pleased you’re enjoying my videos, thank you. Im planning to make a video on the digital dash, as a few other people have asked for it too
@mitchellmartin5906 Thank you, I’m glad you enjoyed the video. You can’t get leather as a factory fitted option on the XLT, you’d have to go to the Sport to get that
Great videos Webby. Could you show us some of the extra's you can add to your Ranger. I'm especially interested in the spray in bed liner. Thanks. Love your reviews.
@Karen F Thank you , I’m glad you’re enjoying my videos. I haven’t seen one with the Factory spray in tub liner yet, but when I do I’ll make a shorts video of it
I have a question which I think is a good one Webby! Is the interior lighting / map lights of the XLT / Wildtrak that horrible incandescent yellowy light or have Ford finally changed to interior LED’s? I’m interested in the Raptor but I imagine they’ll carry over to the raptor also?
Hi Webby, Great clear and concise review. Two things: I am 1.89metres tall and both my daughters are 1.8metres tall. Can they comfortably sit behind me you think? The other is its a shame the side steps don't run all the way to the beginning of the rear wheel arches. Upsets the visuals for me...
Great Video Webbie. Is the back seat more comfortable than the current Ranger. The back rest in the current model is too upright , have they reclined it at all?
The XLT has a steel wheel as a spare whereas the Sports & Wildtrak have alloy wheels as the spare. Me personally I think the Sports model (+$2.5K) is worth it for the extras you get. The touring pack is a must. I wish the matrix headlights were an option for the XLT & Sports. Series 2 should see this 👌
Thanks for that, about to place an order in the next few weeks, I have the promotional brochure that explains the 3 step ups but I think a lot of buyers would be interested in a walk around to show what the extra 3k ish between models gets them, cheers.
@J m I’m not sure to be honest. It would be a bit dangerous to try and tow something on a hill that requires the need to engage the downhill descent control?!
I’m a first time ranger (anything not sedan) buyer, I’m a mum to 2 little boys and want a car that will grow with us. Camping, sports, moving houses that kind of thing. Not a solid off road kind of girl. Will the 4x2 base xlt do for me do you think? Or is the $10k difference really worth it to get the 4x4 version?
@@WebbyOnCars it would be great if the back camera was wireless and if ford had a powered usb outlet in the back just like the front. Better yet it would be great if Ford allowed recording from the already onboard integrated cameras it has. Also does Forscan work with the new rangers? To adjust the tyre diameter to make speedo read like factory and odometer read accurately and also make the transmission shift like stock again when running 33s or 35s.. Forscan is free coding software that adjust parameters in all on-board computers that the Australian ford dealships doesnt have access to. Very popular on the ford forums.
@@WebbyOnCars yeah that would be good. I took a 2l ranger for a test drive a couple weeks ago, and the dealer said the super cab would be available around November, but when I took the V6 for a test drive a couple of days ago, he was saying the only time frame he could give would be sometime next year. Don't know if you've heard any different.
Not available in my country. I'm waiting on it patiently and really hope it comes equipped like this one with push button start etc. The old model is well equipped. Greetings from Trinidad and Tobago
@@WebbyOnCars sales rep said possibly in April next year. The company is still bringing in the old models to sell here 😂. Honestly all I really want is the push button start/ keyless entry. I really don't want to have to be pulling out my key again
@@WebbyOnCars I think the interior blows everything else away. Our new Frontier is still the same on the inside. I don't like that different markets are treated so differently. Usually where the same vehicle costs more you get less
Certainly did. Didnt complicate stuff. Very useful. Dont want to be pushed nto fancy kits. Simpler the better for me. Got a dreadful back and need comfort and space. Thankyou. Regards. Leo
Hey webby when you do the break down on the wild track models (accessories) and price and if the roller shutter leaks.. can you include bull bar price factory and bull Bar fit and price fit @ARB
just want to know i got a price from my local dealer on a sport V6 in lighting blue with a tow pack drive away $73,175 dose that sound like a fair price ???
but i drove a sport V6 about 2 weeks ago and they are bloody awesome machines as me and the wife want one to tow our 24 FT jayco caravan around the country soon i think it will do the job nicely
@@keepitmashed7402 towbar is standard on the Sport, you’ll need the touring pack if you’re gonna be towing as it includes factory fitted electric brakes
@@WebbyOnCars I am quite concerned that most of the SUVs I see don’t have AWD / 4WD, especially the B-SUVs (things like the Ford Puma, Renault Captur, SEAT Arona and Volkswagen T-Cross). The T-Roc is offered with AWD but I rarely see one. I guess most people buy the little bitty 1.5 4cyl turbo. I wish car manufacturers added AWD options to their B-SUVs and C-SUVs too.
Look, ford had 2 huge problems, The transmission and the engine. The transmission sucks. It's gonna crap out on you. They're always in the shop because of it. The engine depends on the quality of Diesel you get. If you get thick, sulfur rich diesel, you'll have to dilute it. Otherwise it's got about 5 years before the headache really starts. Outside of these 2 items, it's the best driving, feeling, performing, most comfortable pickup in it's range. They really need to fix that tranny though.
@@WebbyOnCars so I've heard!!!! Which is really exciting for me. However, as excited as I am, when I found out they start at $62k US where I am for the 2022 model I decided I'm not buying one. -_- I can't even imagine what the 2023 model will cost.
