The dramatic difference before and after and really pops, so great to see your channel exploding Lila, could not happen to a nicer person, great video.
I really need to make my colour grade popping like the intro! Awesome EXPLANATION ! edit: Did the clip you use, was it shoot in any log? do you shoot in log? i'm curious cause i really need to up my colourgrading!
Heya! Thanks so much. No it wasn't shot in log (I borrowed the clip from artgrid) but i do shoot in log. I want to make a log colour grading vid so if you're interested... 😁
@@lilafromyoutube Ahh i see! Yeah i'm definitly interested, cause i shoot in Cinestyle ( My eos rp doesn't have log :( ) But i'l wait patiently for the video!!
Do you mean that you import this on your camera? Like a picture profile? Hayley is getting a little bit fitter every day. It's going to be a long process (she still doesn't eat) but we'll get through it. Thanks Taylor!!
I've been shooting photos for a few years and always loved editing those, but when I started doing video I didn't know how to edit the color in a good way. But, since I saw your videos in the topic I actually enjoy applying what I've learned from you Also, I love the vibe that your tutorials have 😊 Once again, good work, Lila ❤️
lila, i need subtitle :( because my English so fcking bad, I understand, but just a little, I really like the way you convey something, it's very clear, but there are something I can't understand, thank you lila, good luck, btw im from indonesia😳
It's amazing how the image comes to life when we do all this adjustments, BUT, I sold my soul to FCPX . lol.., Great video Lila, as always loving that wall!
Great tutorial. A question about masking: When you masked the hand in that single frame, how do you ensure that skin color correction gets applied to the masked hand that is carried forward to the other frames throughout that scene? Do you have to “track” the mask throughout every subsequent frame? ( I hope not 🤞) thanks !
@@lilafromyoutube Overall color grading reminds me of what we did in this color darkroom class in college. Except to get just one adjustment might’ve taken hours of fine tuning to get the M-Y-C numbers where needed to be to correct imbalances of color casts. 😅 Furthermore in my first digital photo class, our first color assignment was to make a full color image out of 3 black and white film negatives when scanned and combined in Photoshop. What does this have to do with video? A video is just a series of still photos woven together. Plus I think that’s where the first color film/movies came about using the RGB projectors blending into one picture across a room... Just sharing because it’s always good to know where things of today rooted from. 😅🙏❤️
I love your videos, you inspire me so much! ❤ I have a question, do you have any idea how to make the Twilight "New Moon" effect in the scene where bella is in the water and edward disappears with the movement of her hand, I have been looking for a lot and I don't know how to do it 🥺
I live in indonesia but been 5 years in america the things is ambience, weather etc is diffrent maybe if possible you can make tutorial which is in tropical weather condition and make some tutorial color grading about it,its gonna be awesome, but thank you for sharing
@@lilafromyoutube It's been a month since your last upload. But, yeah! The video is very helpful and thank you for sharing it 😊 More contents to come and I hope you visit Dubai or Philippines for collab short films 😁
Hi! About the color correction on the actual clip, couldn't you have two different adjustment layers. Like first for color correction and the second for color grading. Ony for the first layer (color correction), one could split it into the different clips? Or is this too much...
Oh no that's totally fine! I usually colour correct on an adjustment layer if I have multiple clips that are shot in the same scene/lighting/etc. I usually have 3-4 adjustment layers for colour grading in my workflow ;-)
Yay! A Lila video!! Loved this. I just need some beautiful autumnal leaves to make it all work. I love your way of teaching. You show every step and simplify it all for us amateurs. Thank you 🙏🥰🌷🍷
Hiiii Karen! I hope you are doing well! Yesssss autumn is so amazing, so beautiful. Unfortunately the weather isn't so great here, but as long as it doesn't rain I'm good haha. I hope you will try this colour grade, like i said, it's perfect for autumn 😊
The color wheels were always a bit intimidating to me but you have really changed the whole thing for me! Hope you get some lovely weather over there. I had to cancel my Amsterdam trip a couple of weeks ago 🥺
Hi lila I came across your channel not a long ago and i can say that it is definitely the most helpful channel so far I really appreciate your hard work thank you❤️
Hey Dave!! A LUT is basically a video filter. The same way people use photo filters to either change the colours or enhance the colours in a photo, you can do the same by applying a video filter (aka LUT) to your video!
Hey lila, what if i take a sequence of high resulation like hd and also take a clip of low resulation in my timeline and when i come to export my clips what will happen to the low resulation footage cause it will export in hd so,my question is will the low resulation footage fade out or something else or it will make no change Please answer
