Guess what else….Same guys that won using FFS won the inaugural derby… kind of put your money where your mouth is sorta thing…. Again, Randy didn’t sign up. He has said because it wasn’t a smart financial decision for his family. And if that is the full truth, then i completely get that… but he has some sponsors, and HE CLAIMS Bridgford Foods stands behind his stance 100%, which leads me to believe they would have payed, if not assisted him in his efforts… so let’s recap, 1) TAA= limited electronic derby. 2) Randy=did not show (that’s simply factual). 3) leaves a lot up for question.

​@@danieldix7669I would just about bet, the guy that won that Lanier tournament, was also a local that knows many good spots. There's no way someone who hasn't fished that lake, and was only known for FFS fishing, won it without it. These young guys haven't done anything else but use FFS for the last 4 or 5 years. They don't know any other way.

So when someone has such a strong stance against something, claims the guys that use it couldn’t catch a fish “without their umbilical cord,” and wants fishing to go back to the old ways of “primitive” fishing, youd think would jump at the opportunity to do just that. Jump at the opportunity to show the “scopers” up on old school fishing, and make a cool 80g’s in the process. For someone to make the claims that he does, and then have the opportunity to capitalize and essentially back down? Why? It’s no different than saying “yeah i caught 30lbs in practice, but I’m not gonna fish Saturday because my cats having puppies.” Or claiming up and down you have the one of the fastest drag cars in the state, and could bust anyone’s wallet up, but not showing up at the strip Thursday night. If you're a meat fishermen, and they make up 90% of the fishermen out there, FFS and LS enable you to catch a limit much more often than ever before. It is already decimating the crappie and striper fisheries. It's bad for the fisheries.

Not true. Every one that becomes proficient with FFS, is catching more fish than they did before. Not just that, they are catching fish that were in catchable before. And if your like a couple guys from work I know, they are filleting their limits every time they go. Bass, crappie, even bluegills. One of the guys is a die hard blue gill fisherman. He said this year, on 3 different county lakes he fishes, he was amazed by all the empty beds he found. Places he's caught them every year, empty. He asked one of the guys that run one of the lakes, and he said there were about 4 boats coming during the week, using FFS, and having a limit of 3/4 lb to 1 1/4 lb bream. Every day they come. Those fish are gone. I'm hearing crappie fishing is being effected also. I'm of the belief that fishing is supposed to be just that, fishing. The reward for your time on the water, improving your technique, is catching more fish. FFS is taking that away.

2d sonar has zero in common with spotlighting

I had an Lowrance x75. I rigged it for ice fishing and crushed with it. Yes it only shows straight down and the screen reads a little different. But the end result is the same. I don't think many south of the cheddar curtain know about vexilars

A drone literally does exactly the same thing as down imaging, 2d sonar and side imaging. U fly it above and it scans down, left and right. Just like the other technologies. I know this is your standard response now. But please explain how drone in deer hunting is “different” than 2d sonar, down imaging and side imaging.

Those are not even remotely close to this "tool". Side imaging was getting lazy. This is far beyond both side and down imagining. And you know it.

The live scope would let you track 1 fish better than regular sonar, but where I fish it's so weedy that you might not see nothing but weeds,I have the side scan but use the regular sonar most of the time, it would be nice to try it but it's so expensive and then you have another transducer to deal with, bass pro should rent them out that way you could see if it's worth buying

@@GS-zv3qn Here in Texas, I know of no lake that has heavy vegetation for bass to hide in. Back in the 80s, we had Hydrilla that would make Livescope useless in many of our lakes and give people who didn't want to fish with FFS a chance to catch a stringer of very large bass. Grass Carp in the 90s destroyed all of our vegetation, including the native vegetation.

They have European carp in the small natural lake i fished at today but it's really weedy so they are not keeping the weeds down, the man made lakes are weedy too most are pretty shallow and the weeds are bad in any shallow area ,any lure with treble hooks are a weed magnet in ne ohio

@@gregkuhn7123I know a couple dnr officers and they are good guys but ultimately they have no say in what happens. I also know a girl on the fisheries department and she does test nettings in lakes and she says the same thing. It’s the politicians/lawmakers that have to make a change.

Come on Randy facts from dnr not what you believe. Missouri Department Conservation is the best in the USA and you know that. Get that side of the story. I would believe them. You never say how many fish you have damaged.
