I was studying French in school and university. They even wanted me to be an exchange student to France. Since then I thought I totally forgot French. But, taking into account I understood everything you said in French, I still remember something.
The fact that you are Canadian & a pilot puts you on top of the awesome scale. You make a lot of people smile. Thank you. The Tim bits were hilarious 🤣
Hi Emillie I would like to ask you a question and if you can't answer will be okay: you due to the Pandemic the aviation industry will never be the same at least in a short and medium term, that's why Warren Buffet sold all his aviation Stocks. ...many airlines are cutting jobs, Lufthansa will operate only 100 flights, air Canada will not go ahead with the acquisition of Air Transat anymore. ... I know you live in Calgary or BC. ..The question is: are you thinking in changing your profession? Do you have any back up or something?...... I love your Cat. Kind regards
So tough so say. I literally think about this daily. Sometimes I trust it's all gonna work out & other times it's challenging to not panic. I try to take it one day at a time. I seriously don't know what else I'd love to do so it would be back to drawing board for me... time will tell. And thanks!!
@@Pilotemilie don't think about this daily. ..see this moment as holidays even though you're at home. ..everything gonna be alright, it's not only the aviation industry, all sectors are affected so keep calm and be positive, one way or another you'll make it. ... relax and don't feel pressured in thinking in alternatives., think but don't get pressured... I actually thought that you were in Congo at this moment, I saw your pics on IG.. Congo is near my country, Angola. But I'm living in India at this moment and I will come to Canada BC. ...... I just want to request you one thing: don't think on the negative because of this situation, think positive. there will be a V Shape recovery it means that once the Vacinne is available people will travel like crazy, so just keep calm because better days are ahead. ...... Regards
Can confirm that magpies live in the UK as well; and given they are renowned as thieves, I'd agree that they seem rude (though they've got nothing on seagulls in my opinion)
Not french but german, no Cat but a Berner Lady (Dog), not a Pilot but a Plane Technician :-) You are awesome. love your Videos, keep them up. I allways love watching them and the way you choose to live. Giving me a big smile. If I had the chance to fly to space or to be a bush pilot, I couldnt decide cause i love to do both. Be safe.
4:35 The rudest bird? The Canadian Goose. Canadians put all of their negative traits and anger into the Geese. They are extremely evil birds. But not ungrateful. I once helped a clutch of baby geese that were stuck, and as soon as the parents realized I was helping their babies, they stopped attacking me. Do you know how hard it is to pick up a baby goose while being attacked by two adult geese. They bite *HARD!*
A male capercaillie (wood grouse) on mating display can be pretty intimidating too. They have no sense of self preservation whatsoever, attacking people, cars, even heavy trucks. Back in the 1990's when I was a nco in the Finnish military, a single male capercaillie was displaying in a dirt road intersection. I had to lead a whole platoon of armed soldiers in full combat gear off the road and yield to him, keeping good distance, after me and a few other men were attacked several times when trying to pass him. It really hurts when a bird of that size punches you with his wings and tries to bit you...
Captain you are actually pretty charming... and video was really entertaining thumbs up. (On a side note congrats for the upgrade, now is your time to set the mood in the flight deck and within the rest of the crew.... ;-)...) Ciao
Loved your story. As for content, I personally would like to see something on flight planning. Where to get all the info for plan. Such ils, frequencies, vors, etc. I know a little about SkyVector, but i would love to see the process for making a ifr flight plan. and entering the data into the g1000. Thanks Emilie.
Love your channel and hope you get up flying again soon - hang in there if you can! I lived 2 years near Calgary where I learned to fly, so it's really cool to see you in that area. We have a cat that looks exactly like yours who we named Okotoks. Miss it so much, so thank you for letting my live vicariously through you! BTW, good call on the magpies; here in Australia they're a lot meaner than Canada's little fat guys. We're coming up on swooping season (Spring), where they attack you from above if you get within a hundred metres or so of their nest.
BONJOUR Emilie Thanks ... and I`m sorry your cat is beautiful but for me black cats bring me bad luck ! Sorry ! Thanks for the video ! A Big Kiss from Switzerland , Francis
Lot of fun! Very real person, and yes I would go to space, I am a pilot and really admire your skill and professionalism. I think you are a breath of fresh air and put a smile in a lot of people's day! Cheers❤️🍻 he parle Francais aussi!
I have always wanted to go to space, too late for me now, but I would like to have my ashes spread there (morbid ). I don't think I would go to Mars. You're Canadian???? I thought that by the way you say aboot, you were from Louisiana , lol
Absolutely would volunteer myself to a Jupiter space mission. Some years out there would be amazing. Only condition to do so: have access to watch some RU-vid channels and know what's going on in mother Earth.
For those that don't understand French, a translation: 2:23: We keep Alfonso it's possible sit over my famiiy Belfast at me is all it's also a big leap after a fire so... 2:53: Fawful aesthetic muffiny travis animism or some with the onset of hostility different your path loss and havoc no text so... 3:09: But all this money come off a little smelly faucet. This comprehensive translation brought to you by RU-vid Closed Captioning...
Hello, I'm José Roberto, I'm from Brazil, I really like watching your videos, I wanted to congratulate you on your entire history in the aviation field
Hi Emilie, Have you flown the majestic software Q400 in p3d? I have done some RNAV appr successfuly but sometimes on final it will switch to pitch hold. Can you comment on this please? Thanks for your videos. Paul
When starting out as a pilot If your love, passion, feelings and belief in yourself for this profession were not so strong, maybe you would not be a pilot now. So is love; If prejudice, pride and doubt come between strong, passionate feelings and loves, we can lose the most beautiful, innocent loves and happiness without experiencing them! Best regards
About Mars, I would go to space but I don't think I will go to Mars in fact only a few will attempt to go there but living in Mars is just a dream as life in Mars is not sustainable. I wish this could be possible as I'm an engineer and I believe in science but the true is that there is a lack of technology and Mars conditions are too hostile for humans. But I do imagine lots hotels like the International Space Station orbiting the globe.
I agree! I think we have a long way to go before Mars is sustainable, but it's fun to dream about eh? Definitely agree with you that there will be like space adventure type things in the nearer future!
RU-vid certainly is the proverbial 'box of chocolates'. French is your first language? The movie The Last of the Mohicans is about the extent of my knowledge of the French in the Americas. And the French and English share a country - a successful one at that! Another research task - thanks RU-vid!!! Gotta lay off the subs lol! All of interest though.
It’s so nice to see another vlog from you. You’re an amazing talented person and so much fun to listen too. Thank you for the update on your life and adventures. Seeing your video made my day! Take care Emilie.
This might sound a bit cheesy but some one asked how long you flying you said 10 years wow did you start at 15 ,relax ime just an old Grandad with a collie dog living in a cottage , L O L loved the video of bits of Canada NEVER BEING BUT I WAS ON MY BUCKET LIST.beautiful eyes no not you the cat ha ha ha oh ok not bad on you either am i banned so soon ,

Magpies are quite gentle when you know how to interact with them, I once bet a colleague $ 20 that she couldn't fit a bag of skittles in her mouth before chewing or swallowing, of course she accepted the challenge but negotiated the rewards to $ 50 AUD which I accepted.
I love your videos and since you love traveling, I recommend you check out Kylie Flavell’s RU-vid channel. She is not into aviation but she travels all around the world sharing her videos that she shoots, directs and edits herself. Like you she has a fantastic personality. She is Australian living in Italy. During the Covid downtime, I think you should explore acting and/or modeling, perhaps in skin care or cosmetics. I think you would excel in those fields even if just part-time with your persona. Keep the vlogs coming and I wish you all the best!
Hi Emilie, your videos are awesome. I spent 4 years with the US Navy Blue Angels. Airshows every weekend. I didn't fly while I was on the team but spent some time back seat.
You're a great Canadian and a good sport. To answer some of your questions... No I would not go to Mars. I need poeple in my life. Yes fighting one bear sized duck is epic. I'd love to go to Croatia, my wifes grandparents were Croatian. I love the Philippines however and the islands are as beautiful as Filipinos. P. S. I am mid aged and dream of getting my rotary CPL, your videos help inspire me to do it. Canada is beautiful and I love seeing it from your office! Thank you.
It's kind scary thinking about Mars eh? You GOTTA head to Croatia! I'm sure you've been told how amazing it is!! :) Philippines is definitely on my list, especially for diving! And yay!! I'm so glad. It's truly worth it to go for your dreams :)
Hi dear, I hope you are fine and very nice vlog and you are very nice. It feels great to see your video and May the lord Jesus christ bless you and your family and you are good pilot and reply to my comment
By the way I like your vlog pretty much. I enjoyed the DRC episodes. 'Reminds me a hell of good time, cause I was born and spent 18 years of my life there. In Katanga province, mainly. I Wish you success in both activities.
Claudio
Nice to know few things about your self, I just want to comment on your first question because you are looking a exploring lady so I invited you to visit Pakistan for its northern areas specially Ferry Meadows which is the base camp of world nineth highest mountain called Nanga Parbat with having its 8,126 meters above from sea leval, I hope you will definitely enjoyed this trip.
Enjoyed your video. I vote blue jay. Here's something lighthearted along those lines from my literary hero Mark Twain: storyoftheweek.loa.org/2011/11/jim-baker-blue-jay-yarn.html?m=1
Question : Are there any practical jokes you play on new employee's ? For example flight attendants first flight . ( I think you should try acting in a program like The Good Witch or other Hallmark Programs . )
First the Canadian english then spelling of name always a give away to a French-Canadian. A Canadian being taught ice hockey by a Australian that doesn’t sound right.
I've been enjoying your videos and have started following Captain Joe. I've also found another pilot youtuber who calls himself Missionary Bush Pilot. I thought as a pilot, you might enjoy his vlogs. He is very descriptive in his flight videos. I just thought I'd pass it on. Keep up the good work. It must be frustrating to have just made Captain and then have the pandemic hit. I have a friend who flies 737 for Westjet but I haven't talked to him in a while. Uncertain times.
Another vote for Missionary Bush Pilot. He flies a Kodiak in Papua New Guinea - mountainous terrain, blazing heat/humidity or bad weather, clifftop landing strips and great descriptions. Tough work but very scenic, just check this one: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-XDfAF4wUvKQ.html
