My wedding is in the winter and I’ve kept it under $2,000 - cake & reception included. It’s a small but gorgeous chapel in the mountains. We’re having 12 of our closest family members only. I’ve never been this in love and we’ve been together almost 10yrs. He is the most wonderful man I’ve ever known and our wedding is about our love and relationship and celebrating that with our family. Edit: “it had to be done”. No, no it absolutely did not have to be done. None of it had to be done. And I HATE hearing “it’s all about me. It’s my day”. That is a pet peeve - it’s so disrespectful.

As a wife the saying “happy wife happy life” drives me crazy. If you are that, you’re not ready to be part of a team . Don’t get married. It’s the most selfish quote I’ve ever heard .

As a baker she could have easily stuck the cake in the freezer & deforst it for the reception In the restaurant & it would still be fresh

Just sharing, the last couple weddings I have gone to were no alcohol and they were still a great experience. Upside no drunk driving or other concerns.

Worst wedding planner ever! Coerced her into buying an extra dress. Had her add cheesy green screen pictures like at a County Fair instead of their pictures highlighting the elegant restaurant they had already chosen. And didn't even ask what the dogs would get at the middle tier room. That planner cost them thousands more for upgrades they never requested instead of keeping them close to budget.

Get a pet sitter. That way, the dogs can stay home and have someone come in twice daily, or stay at the house, who will feed the dogs, give them fresh water, treats and walks. Less expensive and less stressful for the pets. And yes, the bride is awful! Entitled, devious, and a spendthrift.

They actually had a very pretty wedding and two good receptions for a smaller budget. They were much better than other couples I've seen and their arguments weren't all that bad. They seem like they will make it.

Sorry, can we talk about the kennels! Cuddles are extra! And they only get playtime and second walks with the spoil me package! That’s ridiculous, so if you don’t shell out your dogs get no attention and sit in a cage while you’re gone. Would have thought walks and cuddling would be included just in terms of the welfare of the animal!

Her husband as he now is, Is MUCH to be commended and admired for his sensible and calm approach to this girls Incessant demands to be thought of as the centre piece of the whole day. The groom is equally as important as the bride and if this girl couldn't see that. She should never have got married. Her groom didn't/ doesn't deserve to be saddled with a drama queen.

Everytime I watch these shows I realize that I am so glad my husband and I went to Los Vegas to get married. We had 30 friends and family. It cost us $1500. That covered my dress, my husband's suit, 5 nights at Treasure Island, and 2 circus o lay shows. Best money we ever spent. A wedding and honeymoon in 1. I also don't like when the brides thinks the wedding is her day only. A wedding is the blending of 2 families. It's both families day.

Dogs know when their person is gone & fancy accommodations won't make them happy, but lots of exercise helps. I rescued & fostered 94 dogs over 20 years so I have experience.
