That is absolutely great information. My tracker TXW 175 sits really low in the back I've been thinking about putting a Talon on it. Where were you able to buy the sandwich bracket?? I've been looking and can only find the brackets that bolt to a Jack Plate. Hope to see this maybe you can let me know thank you.
You can find them many places on the internet from the Minn Kota site to Amazon to E Bay. You shouldn't have any trouble finding one. I just searched and a ton of them popped up. Yes. If the current or wind is strong, the boat will turn on the axis the talon creates (in the direction that the wind or current takes it) once it is deployed, but then it holds that position just fine. So, other than turning once the talon grabs hold....it stays put.
