My dad had a brand new 05 KX250 back in the day, and had to sell because we needed a new A/C Unit back in 2010. I live in the Chicagoland area and I try to go to the Indy Supercross every couple years. Definitely coming this year!!! Beautiful Bikes!!!

That bike looks absolutely stunning! I only have a single dirtbike, an injected KX250f putting out around 40 horses. That CR500 has about 60 horsepower if im right, really need some heavy balls to ride that absolute beaty of a beast.
Dang that 500 is clean brother. Hope to run into you at Indy but i dont know where you could have the bikes on display, and be able to take your eyes off of them for more than 30 seconds. don't even want to know what you shelled out for that sexy machine. those years from the 125- 500 was the sexiest production bike ever produced in my opinion.
man. what i would do for one of those bikes. ive ridden a cr250 once, never been around one before, i've seen videos and lemme tell ya, these bikes are A LOT louder in person than in video. LOVED THAT BIKE. i'm happy with my z400 though, i love that bike too. many memories made

My dad lost his 92 cr 500 in a house firse last year he has been devastated since that day it was he pride in joy maybe one day i can get him another one

I had my 2005 CR125 stolen back in 2005 brand new 4 months & someone stole it out my garage 😢 18 yrs later I’m back into mx I F%ing ❤ it. ❤ from the UK
And thats on the street where the knobbie tires spin and then you run out of rpm. You feel the power when you find a grade with good dirt and the engine is under load. What is scary to me is the fact the engine seems to take spit second to stop accelerating once you let off the gas likely due to the rotating mass. It makes you pucker when its spinning in 4th then grabs, front end shoots up and you let off and it is still pushing for a split second as the engine winds down. Have to be quick on the rear brake. They are like if you took a 450 and gave it more low and mid torque and had it make peak power at a lower rpm. There is no bog zone with them. They are in the powerband off idle
Paint worn off the frame on both rides. That bike is clean, but it is definitely not new and has some time on it. I have an 01 500 myself that's in similar condition to this one. They are badass machines for sure.
Ed to have an 05 250 2stroke and maaan that thing was a blast,had to sell it due to some financial problems, I'd love to get back to the smell of 2 strokes
I have ridden a 1999 cr500 they are a very nice bike I have a 2001 cr125 mint condition runs better now than when new I got the bike brand new and it always had a little hesitation when you goosed the throttle well my son was racing and he was racing a 2015 rmz 250 4 stroke and he wanted to race the 125 2 stroke class first race out ever for this bike and wouldn't you know it 15 minutes before our first moto first time bike ever got raced it started to pour down raining been pouring well take off from the gate hit first corner holeshot got through couple of turns and over a step up table jump get to the next corner still out front boom it blows up too much mud and revving like no tomorrow by this time I'm sick to my stomach my old girl blew up bad smoking every where won't even kick over piston seized I had ridden this bike for 18 years and rebuild it a few times especially top end but never been into the bottom end yet well we are about to see what it looks like because I will forever have this bike so long story short my son works his ass off on this bike I think he was 23 years old around there and I'm in the house watching TV and I hear riiiiinnnggg riiiiiiiiiing😅my fu^$$&in Honda is running and the sound of it brought me right up out of my chair I looked up just in time to see it putt by because getting broken in new bottom and top end so we put about 20 hours of not pushing it too hard to break in but after that I got on that thing and man I couldn't even believe it was the same bike I bought brand new this things throttle response was second to none right awake when you touched throttle yeah he put boyensen reeds a different brand of carburetor I would have to look at that but it was like I had another child that day I had the biggest smile in my life right after cracking the throttle and my son is grown up to be a great man I can't even thank him enough for blowing my bike up lol 😂 because I love I love riding My little 2001 cr 125 ❤
Tbh the bike sounds like it could use a top end or maybe crank bearings. It sounds like a rough rattle in the top end similar to how my cr85 was doing. It ended up needing wrist pen bearings and the head replaced. It had a very similar rattle/brrrr in the top end. It ran great but I decided to tear it down to see what the sound was and it looked like someone dropped a metal bb in the cylinder even tho it ran
i enjoy riding dirt bikes and im working on trying to get my two kids ride. my last time i rode a bike was in 07 i was on a kx250 love how they ride i have never had a issue and if you want to brand your channle and make merch i would like to see how comes out love the videos keep up the awsome wrok.
