Who told you that? You don’t need straight hair to get the cut. A lot of Koreans tend to have dry, thick, and even frizzy wavy hair and still get the 2 block haircut. Also just my opinion but I wouldn’t recommend using any chemical straighteners as they can cause extreme damage to the hair.
@@Jkd_77 straightening or keratin treatment doesn't do really harsh damage to your hair unless your hair is healthier or thick it won't do much of a damage if the process of treatment done in right way by your barber but if you're hair is thin dry asf or extremely damaged then that's a big no. Also two block hairstyle has a variety of styling whether it is straight or wavy but I like straight 👍 everyone has their own way style :))
The downside of asian hair is that it's very straight, but the good side is that it grows relatively fast ~1.5cm per month, as opposed to the standard average 1cm per month. I saw your video where it took 6 months to get there, but for me I think it'll be 9 months, which means 9cm. Id say the ideal length is 8.5~10cm. I'm a 7cm right know and the wait is killing me, gotta wait at least 1.5 month more... almost there....! Caps and hats help not thinking about it too much fortunately.

A two block haircut looks more like a bowl shaped. An undercut usually has more fading involved on side hair. Two block is more disconnected where it goes from short side hair straight to a long top hair which falls to the sides.
A two-block is probably not a good idea if you have a bald spot. Best hairstyles would be combover ones that you can use your long hair to comb over and cover the balding area
