No matter how many videos I watch of you going around and letting animals out, feeding, or bringing animals in I am always amazed at how beautiful your property is. Such a peaceful environment. Thanks for all that you do and the awesome content you provide.
Its so strange how people try to start drama on social media. If they watched your videos they would see your not a person that would poach and your only saving and rescuing animals from people. People can be weird lol! I love how much you love and take care of all your animals! Thank you for being a good animal lover like me and a bunch of others that support people like you! Keep up the great work that you do!
Kenan always shows how he build his enclosures if you have a look thru the channel you will find them, he also shows species specific naturalistic enclosures. Enjoy the Kamp Kenan binge fest🤗🐢🐍🦎
You and your love of your pets are the sole reason I'm not afraid of snakes anymore, why I think monitor lizards are adorable, and why i wish I could live another hundred years so I could have a tortoise tromping around my big back yard. You truly change lives and I thank you for opening my eyes.
Can't wait for your black dragon, my vote is to name it Inky. Proving again that you can own amazing captive bred animals without taking from the wild. With your top notch husbandry it will thrive and we all get to come along ☺️
That was so cute you lifted the lid up of the box and all those cute little tortoises are in there that have the Stars on their shelf. Kenan you are such a kind, intelligent and compassionate pet owner. All of you reptile loving guys are friends now Clint, Chandler, you Kevin and Dave and all of the people in this reptile world are fantastic people!. Your love and your knowledge about your animals is otherworldly. They are so lucky to be with one of you guys. You know every little tiny thing about these animals. These scientific names are so hard yet you rattle them off like nothin! Thank you for what you do!
We need a full 2021 tour where you cover absolutely every species you have for one all the new subscribers of the year will love to see that and I don’t know anyone who doesn’t love a kamp kenan tour vid❤️
I saw Kevin’s post the other day showing the black dragon and thought how amazing it would be to see one of them with you, especially the way Kevin raises such calm and content scale babies. Hope that Robbie Robinho will tame up just like Pinky and Slinky have 🐢🦎🤗
I love how tortoises enjoy being pet, mine does and it's so interesting to have a reptile that actually like the physical affection. First time I had my tortoise fall asleep on me, it was magical. I think it's because it was so unexpected. I love your videos so much because you shine a whole different light for the reptile community :)
Omg your Galapagos tortoises are so cute, the way they look at you and sloooowwwly come over to you as your talking to check out what you’re doing😭I can’t it’s too much
So cool. It blows me away that your well water is WARM. Our well water is cold, enuff so you dont need ice in summer to drink. Love watching the turtles. Give Slinks a scratch under his jaw for me.
Once again, thanks to Kenan and all the folks in South FL and elsewhere who devote themselves to the care of these animals. The people of Ecuador can only feel honored and proud for having people elsewhere taking care (on their dime) of species that are endemic of their territories (many of whom now threatened because of lack of local protection); if they are so concerned, they should lobby their own government to try and do better and may even contribute with their support instead of typing nonsense w/o doing any research :D! Cheers from the 305.
Hi Kenan Love the tour to check on all of your reptiles. You have a very good memory of all the species, and their needs. Your information is so interesting, and valuable for some one who wants a tortoise, or turtle. Your animals are very intelligent. You give them all so much love, and respect.🦎🐍🐢♥️Cindy
Always happy to see the Slingster! He as handsome as ever. Of the many reptile channels I watch on RU-vid, you are by far the best keeper I watch. Most knowledgeable as well. Thank you for teaching us the right way to care for reptiles.
I would love a tortoise, but Colorado isn't really a good place for any of the species of tortoises I want. So I will live vicariously through your channel. 😂😂
I find your channel is very informative. I know this is cheesy, but learning about them is helping me slowly get over my phobia of reptiles. Tbh I want to touch a monitor lizard because of slinky!
My tegu Pubba sleeps on my belly every single night. More like a dog than anything else. Never bit me (except for the one time he gently grabbed my chin with his mouth, but he was laying on me after I had just returned from my only trip without him, 3 days, and I believe he was telling me not to ever leave again lol; he just grabbed it and held it gently, only one tooth barely broke the skin), always affectionate, protective (he will come running if he hears me crying), I couldn't ask for a better friend and baby. Reptiles have been my passion since I was 3 years old. Welcome to the wonderful world of reptiles, you will love them if you stick around 🤗🤍
I can only hope to have an awesome setup for my pets like Kenan's. It's so cool we live in a time where personal animal keepers strive to provide almost zoo-level quality enclosures, if not better ones. Much like Clint from Clint's reptiles said, "It's beautiful, and yet attainable". All you need is the willpower and the discipline to do it, along with the required stable finances for it of course lol Makes me happy seeing how happy the animals are at Kenan's, and it's so cool he strives to teach others the right quality-of-life standards for these animals.
As much as I want to go back to sleep, I think I needed to click this even more. I can't resist any potential clip of Slinky, so glad to see him looking so much better! 🖤
I absolutely love how you love your animals. You know every single thing about each one. You rattle off the scientific names like you're doing the alphabet. That you check on each and every one of your children everyday speaks volumes about your character. I have learned a whole bunch of good stuff from watching your videos....From watching all of the reptile videos that I love. Those Galapagos tortoises that you have coming close to being my favorite. Slinky is my favorite and then the Rhino iguanas but those big giant old men are just so precious and so adorable. I wish I lived in Florida sometime so I could come visit your Park /Kamp/ home. But for now I just get to watch it on RU-vid. Thank you for sharing this with everybody. I grew up loving dinosaurs to. I wish I'd gone the path you went. I remember my mom bought me some Avon dinosaur shaped soap. But that wasn't the same as becoming a paleontologist. Enough for me enjoy the day
Hey Kenan. While I couldnt even imagine seeing (let alone owning) a Galapagos Tortoise from up close, I do share your stance on pets. I have a Russian Tortoise, and planning on getting more (meditteranean most likely) tortoises in the future. The way I see it pets are a way to connect humans to pets. You can do all the research on a horse as you like, but to truly understand a horse you need to interact with one as an example. While sadly I cannot take them outside in the Netherlands, I do try to do it on warm summer days :P
Thanks for the tour Yes this winter here in Florida has been the coldest that I can remember, maybe back in 2000's it was constantly cold like this, over here In Saint Petersburg Hope it's a safe rest of winter for yall and spring can't come any faster
That episode with Klint was amazing! I really think you need to get a greenhouse or 2 I think you could keep turtles in them efficiently especially babies! Laura from garden answer is getting one you should watch her channel and check out the greenhouse she's getting .... actually Kate might really like her channel... oh she has an aquascape pond .... she could come plant with you in the yard. Have you gotten DNA testing on the Galapagos tortoises you own??
Those people on your Instagram comments are crazy. Like I said on there, it would be nice if people did some research or educated themselves before commenting misinformation and lies. You take amazing care of all of your animals and educate people. Keep doing what your doing Kenan. You're my favorite reptile channel!
I rescued a 3 and a half year old normal ball python that was rehomed to some people 6 months ago, they hadnt fed him since they got him other then 1 time they tried to " assist feed" but had no idea what they were doing so they dislocated his jaw completely and got it stuck so he wasn't able to drink for 6 months and they had little to no heat on him. I took him I had him for 3 days, relocated his jaw, assist fed him ( the right way) as he had little to no strength and gave him a huge bowl of water. He was too far gone and passed away today. So now I am binge watching your videos to cheer myself up.
He was finally able to eat and drink, was warm enough to have strength to move and I held him a lot which he loved. I am heartbroken that he passed away but I am happy that his last 3 days were 100 percent better then the last 6 months.
(Fellow Florida tortoise youtuber) Hey kenan 🙌 huge fan! Cant wait for it to get warmer so I can bring the torts outside more often. As usual fantastic video!
I definitely know how Slinky feels in the mornings, I'm always in slow mode for the first hour 😴 Love and best wishes to you and your family and Tom xXx 💕
Emily from Snake Discovery was just in Florida and I was hoping she would swing by you. I love both your channels even tho I have no interest in getting another lizard.
Everywhere seems to be getting cooler, UK has snow and frost for a change. I think it's because most of the aircraft are grounded. They are not creating artificial cloud which is water vapour, the most effective greenhouse gas.
Beats NGC and Discovery. Kenan, why your vlog aint no TV show, we'll never know. Well we do, you once explained but lets say you're just tooo good for the old telly. Keep it up, in these times its like a view into heaven. Okay that's too soft but I hope you all get how much impact your vlog has. Slinky rules! A dark day it was when I saw that one vlog. Still gives me the shivers. He is so handsome. Thenx for keeping me happy! 🔆
will the lovely Croc. Monitor's nose heal, or will she always have that scar? I am so happy to watch how you love your animals. I am really glad I found your channel a few weeks ago.
Everythings looking great man. Love the ponds and the colours of nature in winter. And ur version of rant, is informative and important = keep em coming 👍👍👍👍 🙏⚡🙏💛🙏⚡🙏
Should do a Herping for Invasives series. Catching chameleons, iguanas, pythons, Boas, snakeheads, tegu's & tokay geckos would be super cool & some new exciting much needed Content.
@@jonferguson8861 forgot about those as well, but yeah doing a weekly Herping / Hunting for Invasives series would be cool. May also be needed to change up & add some new content to the channel so it's not the same week in & week out.
@@C-24-Brandan we will see I love the idea I see Chandler just did that got 3 Chameleons is very cool ! I love the idea also the Python cowboy just found a white throat monitor huge one and now is keeping it as a pet . Kennan has them huge Cages from them Miami zoo would be cool to go Catch some of this Invasive Species and keep the ones that you don’t need to Euthanize .
Brown anoles are very prominent in Houston as well. The green anoles are suffering because of it, we get temps down to freezing point here at times, and doesn’t seem to faze m.
Don't listen to the crazies Kenan. We know you do it right and love your animals. You owe NO APOLOGIES. You give back to nature and conservation all the time.
I’d be willing to bet Kenan cares just as much as anyone from…let’s say Ecuador for the animals he cares for as they do. This man has so much love for all creatures and it shows. I’d love for some of those throwing out these blind accusations to come spend a day at the kamp !!
As a child from the 60s I have both a cherished memory and with my knowledge now a regret from our small town carnivals that included Galapagos (spelling may be wrong) Tortoise rides. And I'm talking probably a 4 year old and an older sibling together. Knowing what I know now makes me want to apologize to that majestic animal.
You poor thing. I hope you will go easy on yourself Kenan. God wasn't ready for him yet. Everything will be OK.... we all had a freakout with you that night. You did everything RIGHT so go easy on yourself ok?
Anyone else get slighltly anxious right before he opens slinkys box in the a.m. since the "great debacle of December 2020"? He pops his head out cautious that the paparazzi might be there..lol
I went to a crocodile place the other day and got to see some tortoises It was cool and actually the first time I have been close to one. I got to touch them and feed them..it was a great experience
So much misinformation out there. Thank you for speaking about the privilege that it is to keep one of those amazing torts in your care. Hopefully, there are will be some better informed folks out there now.
Yeah Kenan, someone mentioned solar. If you put one panel on each of the enclosures, could you run their heaters. I guess you would need a battery too. Meh, maybe it's more trouble than it's worth... was just thinking of ways to alleviate some of that electric bill.
I read that when FL GETS 50 or below iguanas will fall out of trees frozen and in shock seemingly dead when the sun warms them they come back to life. Have you ever seen this happen ?
