Getting Baited in Pikmin 2 Kaizo 

The cave is really just a lesson in sunk cost fallacy.

...This video just awoke an old memory from like 15 years ago. As a kid, I used an action replay for the game to always be set to Day 1 so it could look cool on the results screen, but when I got to the Preplexing Pool, I *saw that exact cave* sitting there at the start of the level. The layouts were different from this IIRC, but after 5th floor it would always crash loading the sixth. It bricked my save effectively, but I guess that's what I get for cheating lol. Further research shows it was actually one of many test caves left over in the game's files, but it's spawn was never removed likely due to an oversight, it's not like you were supposed to get there on Day 1 after all.

I don't believe a captain actually needs to have Pikmin following them in order for the Pikmin to follow you to the next sublevel. I'm pretty sure that they'll come with as long as they're alive. The speedrun uses that a lot.

During the Bulbear fight, he should have immediately called the whites off the wall instead of fighting on the wall. There should have been enough time to move out of the way while the wall was shifting into the ground. He might of lost some whites, but minimize purple deaths.

Why did that pikmin have a panic attack?

Man, i didn't know there was a beady long legs and all the other stupid shit in this area after day 30 until not that long ago, wanna know how I found out? I was heading to the submerged castle on my first playthrough because I wanted to complete the first three areas fully before moving on and it was the last thing, so I head over while it's just about to go to sunset but then a snitchbug grabs a pikmin and fucks everything up meaning I have to come back next day, day 31 and at first I don't even notice, I just go straight over without walking over the trigger, I get some berries and find out now there's a bulbear here because fuck you and then kill it not before losing lots of pikmin, so I walk back over and once again I don't notice, I just get my pikmin and leave but while I'm leaving, the beady long legs dropped out and I just noped the fuck out of there. Pikmin 2 is a dick. Thankfully I completed the cave after about 5 visits ending right at the end of the day also letting me farm up some purples after I had lost so many due to the man at legs but still, I fucking hate the Perplexing Pool and will never make the mistake of waiting to do it last again

Why were the Doodlebugs avoided and ignored like at 5:48? Throwing Pikmin on them like Iridescent Glint Beetles gets a ton of sprays and it's easy to call Pikmin back after they've been hit by poison
