Wow I never thought of it that way! Thanks for sharing! I’ve felt like I’m not being heard when I’ve prayed for peace and encouragement, but you never know how God is working and I just have to trust Him and be patient.🙏🏻
I’m 52 and began praying this prayer 31 years ago when I was given a 10 year prognosis. But in my 31 years of praying that prayer I’ve learned that sometimes the answer is “No” or “Not right now”. Sometimes I must believe that God’s timing is perfect and sometimes it does align with my timing. The 1st line in one of my favorite books, The Purpose Driven Life, is “It’s not about you.” Life isn’t about my ideas or goals. It is essential to have those but it’s also essential to set those ideas and goals based upon God’s will, desire and His timing for my life. That’s so hard to lean into when you are a type A, very driven person.
YES Aimee this is truth! THIS is the purpose of our suffering and our pain. We are growing better each day we endure and don’t give up- we are getting stronger and more able to bless others because of our pain. I see it in your life- you have been such a blessing and encouragement to me BECAUSE of what you are going through, not in spite of it. God doesn’t make us suffer meaninglessly- it is all for His glory and our sanctification.
This! I literally just saw a comment on a group that said why don't you just get to the dr and get on meds and work harder? And I was so upset over it because said group was supposed to be supporting others dealing with the same thing. It's all hard, and trying my best everyday, but seeing stuff like that completely makes me feel like a failure. It wasn't directed to me, but those feelings are still there especially since my husband even said the other day "I wish you were better "
Work harder??🙄 As if you haven't been giving it everything youve got to heal. You are strong. Don't let people tell you otherwise. I'm so sorry you are suffering so much. 💔
That group you saw that on is an individual who is not supportive of anyone. I would almost reach out to say they probably have no experience with illness and just joined a group to be negative. Try to ignore he haters.
ThAt is a very mature thought! What a good example you are, even to me, whose body is mid-50's but mentally is still mid-20's. My body has been in pain since childhood. I know God's got me. I know this isn't forever. Eternity Is forever and there is No pain there for My destination. Our reality here of daily pain will be like a blink of an eye. You're onto something, my friend. Keep praying, keep seeking, keep knocking. But, perhaps, change the direction of your prayer to be the best person He wants you to be. You made a difference in my day today. You took the focus off of my pain. And i prayed for you. 🙏😊hug
I have prayed. I know God can heal all of us; me. I also have come to believe that there is something for me to learn through this process. That maybe I can be helpful to others in some way. God has used you. Look at what you have done and are doing reaching out to others who experience the same things. It may not what you planned for however it is your now. It doesn’t mean it will always be.
I've been doing this my entire life, as we've raffled about it won't go away. It'll change, symptoms change, sometimes diagnosis change, but you get stronger both physically and mentally and you deal with the cards you're dealt. ❤
Don't give up praying, sometimes God heals us of one thing but not a bunch of other illnesses. It doesn't always make sense and sometimes relief comes from medication.
Are you anti epidural steroid injection? Understand if you are. There's a possibility they could be painless. Tried hi dose benfitamine for fatigue. Don't ask doctor's ask patients.
