My first ride along this coming Tuesday then I'll be officially solo. Thanks for all the great content, I've been watching since you started at Amazon and just switched from working in the FC to now being free on the roads. I needed a break from working inside warehouses for over 15 years. Thanks again and be safe out there. That bulldog is making a weekly video now I see lmao.
I had my third route on the stepvan today and men coming from cargo van to stepvan i dont wanna go back to cargo van neverr!!! The space you got on stepvan is amazing it makes you quicker i open two totes at the same time and i just keep going and going and im finishing more earlier than before💪🏻💪🏻
@@NailujG men my station dont have them for now i wish we get them in a future , you hace to take another certification to drive them ? Or im good with the stepvan certification ?
In reference to the part about creators making Amazon Driver content, I think it's so niche because Amazon has fired people for recording. A motovlogger I watch that posted 1 video about him delivering got him fired shortly after for breaking Amazon policies on recording.
Hi there! Like seeing your vids I just wanted to share a tip on petting dogs most feel a bit scared if you try to pet them first over their head. Instead, start with trying pet/scratch under their chin they just feel less scared of course when you get their attention and they know you good you can pet them all over. Hope this helps!
To be clear these certificates are NOT needed for any of the work you usually see him do. All of the normal amazon trucks and vans do not require this. Only if you work at an XL facility which has a completely pay system setup and everything. Good luck out there!
That what he said, the big trucks. He has a CDL, which needs the medical cert to stay valid. CDLs are not needed to drive regular trucks. But it’s harder to get a CDL that it is to lose it, so if you have it you want to keep it valid and not let the medical expire. It keeps his options open if he wants to drive semi or go to a different company or OTR.
@@PTRRanger951 it definitely came across as you need a CDL to drive the CDV vans amazon has which you do not even though they are box trucks. maybe i missed something at the end
@@daveinthelife91so I’m a Karen because you have no common sense and can’t read? He LITERALLY said in the description XL. Which is EXACTLY what you said. It’s also common knowledge a CDL is not needed for regular trucks.
So wait they told you to drive a step van you have to have a DOT? That must be different per state. The only ones that need it here are the XL warehouse drivers that drive a completely different truck than the step vans. They're kind of a smaller semi truck.
I really wish u would try UPS again (even blacklisted, they allow u back after few yrs). The no filming in warehouse might be a problem but as long as u aren't doing it on company time (stoppping/setting up) u probably could get vids from loading/unloading trailers. I do like the more relaxed feel of being a Amazon DSP driver but the pay is so low ($19 in my area).
I am going through the on boarding right now. just finished the drug screen but i did flex for quite some time.. one thing i hate is the rain my phone acts up during heavy rain. i really wish they had devices that made it where you didn't really have to have your phone out to take pictures or scan packages..
It's crazy to me that one of the largest company in the world Amazon... pays so poorly and offers virtually nothing to thier employees. I have been watching you since your original Amazon warehouse videos. I hope every video you upload that one day you wise up and get a cdl and start making some real money for delivery. Amazon is a dead end job. FedEx dead end job. If anything you should do ups. But I know you are banned for life. Also there are many cdl jobs that people vlog here on youtube with large amounts of followers. You can do better and should always strive for better. Never settle .
btw QFC McDonalds and winco all pay more then amazon and have better benefits. No AI camera tracking your movements and you actually get what your promised,
Can pretty well bet that those DSP garages have some serious fire extinguisher systems like aircraft hangers just in case one of those Electric Vehicles suddenly catch fire and erupt into a massive flaming death trap.
@@LaosHouse dang. I remember seeing on RU-vid last year of the one Amazon warehouse going up in flames , can't even begin to imagine how incredibly terrifying it would be to be in a building jam packed with millions of merchandise or hundreds of delivery vehicles that could explode like the battery powered scooters do into a ever-growing uncontrollable fire.
I know you also work in New York. Did the package count increase also for you? Because for the last 2 weeks I am getting hammered everyday(340+ packages). Thanks and have a good night!!
Best advice for all you new medical card takers, lie about everything. Any health issues or any medical issues you’ve had in life, do not write them down. A standard medical card lasts two years and if they think you may be worrisome driving a vehicle commercially, they can give a card that only last months or a year. Or worst case scenario you may not be given a card at all.
Laos what camera are you using or do you recommend the insta 360 camera I been wanting to buy one for work and personal use. This week I was delivering when I was walking back to my van old man hit my van parked and I saw everything while walking back 😂😂 he even try to blame it on me and I was like I need a camera
insta 360 is an okay camera for some cool shots but if you want to do a lot of pov stuff I would recommend dji osmo action 4 or gopro 12. Insta go 3 is what I shot with this video
yo chris! ive been driving cargo i just got asked if i was interested in the step van and i said yes! but just “asking for a friend” here, but will they not take you if they find weed or magic mushrooms in the pee test?
It's $49/hr at UPS after 4yrs IF you don't screw up or have any tiny issue/s whatsoever...and go ahead an pay all them union dues, entry costs, etc. All that wonderful stress in comparison to Amazon you can keep.
@@spencerallen2513hell na ur trippin 😂 I drive for UPS 5 years its 100x better than amazon. It’s not strict like that at all just do ur job and don’t be a dumbass that’s all
i just got hired today, and must say that your videos have been very motivating in preparing me for what iam to expect of this job. thanks man :D @LaosHouse
Chris I’ve been a package handler at FedEx for 3 years, i started at 18 and I’ve stuck around cuz it’s been convenient and I’m pretty good, job sucks tho. I got an offer to become a driver since I just turned 21 and I’ve really been considering. Only thing really stopping me is the idea of driving a big truck and the driving in general since I already don’t like to drive much. But I believe I can get used to it, I’m thinking I should take it but peak season is also coming up soon and winter so I would start off rough but I’m thinking if I can handle the worse during peak, I should be able to handle the rest. Idk if you have a take or advice for me? Btw ur videos are satisfying, especially your mentality towards the job.
If I were you I’d do it and this will help you with driving a lot more, shi you’ll be driving a lot more by urself to help u get use driving box trucks you got this jus take it easy 🫡
I honestly think you'll enjoy being a driver than a warehouse worker. you've experienced peak in the warehouse why not as a driver. I would do it if I were you. Else, see if any contractors have a driver helper position. That would be my next choice. best of luck 💯
Bro I left amazon because the cameras in the vans haha, plus dude amazon can have some heavy shit too haha. Cat liter, fiji water cases etc haha I am starting fedex express pt 6am- noon and my boss said to expect no more then 30 stops. I am super excited coming from amazon doin 15-200 stops PLUS all the group stops and micro managing with cameras watching u
