Warning: All of the games played today are scary ones, there will be scare jump timestamps as a response to this comment (they didn't fit the 10-second minimum length for chapters so they are not added there). Thank you Draz for the scare jump and game timestamps. Secret Sleepover Society is every Sunday & Wednesday at 9 pm Eastern time www.twitch.tv/secretsleepoversociety
The drawfee crew are my comfort place. I know for sure I'm not only one with that. Anytime I'm overwhelmed with my hospital visits and surgery stuff I just watch any of their videos to feel less alone.
if anyone is interested in the game they skipped, "an outcry," i recommend checking it out on your own time if it seems up your alley! there's a drawfee fan in the voice cast 🔥
I love it when streamers get big numbers and they’re like,, was that a mistake? Can we help get you a refund? But especially when it’s completely intentional and they don’t need a refund lol
i know right?! like, firstly, how strong are those scissors that they can do that, and two, HOW are you not severely lacerated on your hand/arm/face?!?!
I rewatched 'Petscop' recently, and was just thinking about how much scope there is for horror games to make use of PS1-era graphics and gameplay mechanics. Looks like I wasn't the only one thinking that!
Jacob and Julia: The Mummy isn't scary! Me, having watched the first one when I was 7 and swearing never to see it again: but the mummy literally steals a guy's eyes and tongue, what do you mean it isn't scary
I once ran into a student at physical therapy. I teach high school so it wasn’t as weird as it would have been for a younger kid, but it was still weird on both ends!
this games hub reminds me of this Windows 95 Game Sampler I had. there was a poorly rendered 3D hub that you could walk around and access all the demos. nostalgia
one day in middle school the weather outside was just before a storm and the sky was grey-green and the wind was strong enough to carry a notebook past the window, and I was getting kind of freaked out because I was afraid of tornados (A RATIONAL FEAR) and the topic of the new Brendan Frasier movie The Mummy came up and my teacher told me I shouldn't see it because I was so easily scared. i goddamn hated that teacher
I would love to see a Control stream! I started watching an LP then fell off midway through when the mechanics/navigation got a bit confusing, so weirdly it would be kind of nice to see someone who has already played the game go through it. But I loved everything of the game's story that I've seen so far. ETA: I just want to see Julia slam some stuff into some dudes I guess
How did I know they were going to play this game, I haven't watched it yet but every person I see cover this collection never play "An Outcry". You seem like the kind of cool folk who would be into covering a story like that.
Yeah, Drawfee/SSS has a lot of trans fans so the misgendering and transphobia content might've been too much, especially on top of the spooky/scary theme which can already be hard to deal with.
@@MadCheshireHat as a trans fan, that is why I wanted it to be covered. Kinda the whole point of horror is that it is shitty plus its more about bringing awareness to a very real an ongoing problem.
I really hope they play Poppy Playtime some day. I've seen a few streamers play the first chapter and it seems like something that SSS would make very entertaining
I can only weep for the developers of the first game. They went to such care to place tutorial pop ups exactly where you need to first make use of the mechanic.
Julia is not wrong about teachers or streamers. They're still people with their own lives, and other people who like the people who... Anyway, it's okay to keep enough to eat
It's from Murder house, a game they played on the previous VoD that's part of the 2021 Haunted PS1 Demo Disk. Here's a timestamped link for it ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Y7iAAsnAhI4.html -Khaztaroth
1:23:44 POP YE OLDE GRAMMAR LESSON! Thee is always the object in the sentence! Which is not the case here!!! The correct grammar would be “thou shalt enter”!! YE OLDE GRAMMAR COP SIGNING OFF!!!!
When Julia just stops talking randomly, that really takes me out of the stream. Like, why would you do that? Just stop talking in the middle of an anecdote? No, Jacob doesn't remember The Mummy 2, but good lord YOU ARE ON STREAM. KEEP TALKING ANYWAY. JESUS
As much as I love Jacob and Julia, I wish they weren't so scared of PC culture. Games are a form of art and should follow art's rules and be taken in as a form of art.
I think you might be misinterpreting their intent to be mindful of their audience and be an accessable stream for the most amount of people. They've said before they do enjoy playing games that can be kinda icky but it's just not the vibe they want for the stream
@@delicateghoul I understand that, but it is just a little irritating that there are games they just won't play because of it. Again, I get where they are coming from and I respect them for it, I just wish I could actually see them play these games.
A livestream where they only played games that explore tougher concepts would be cool, but ultimately they're performing when they're on streams. I don't blame them for not wanting to have to react to problematic stuff publicly in real time and have that become part of their show
