Anyway... In today's video I go in depth about my decision to give up RU-vid monetization and how it brought me to where I am today. Do I have regrets? Maybe, but mostly not. Sure, it's cool to make money doing what you love, but not when you feel forced or locked in to it. Enjoy my little story time and hopefully you take something from it!

As a very small (secret) creator, this was insanely helpful! Thank you so much :). I definitely only do it because I enjoy it, and I'll probably never tell anyone about it, hahaha. If it works out as something more, I'll be very happy, but not having monetization is also completely okay. Your video was a great reality check for me, ngl 😅💖

Right!! It should be meant for enjoyment and expression and not a way to pay the bills. It’s very against the point of having a hobby in the first place. I’m still proud of my content (even though I’m not exactly advertising it everywhere) and the privacy of it lets me enjoy it more without outside judgement. Keep doing what you love doing!✨✨

@@EarthOrNothing unfortunately I burnt out of a few hobbies about a year after monetizing them, but I’ve gotten super into cooking in the last few years and I decided to keep it a hobby just for me, my partner and people close to me to share food with and I’m loving it! Thanks for the reply!!
