At 3:13 is the first time I had shot a hand gun since I was a teenager... I was nervous because the last time I shot a pistol; my uncle insisted I shoot an old Saturday night special he got - and it exploded in my hand! I was traumatized by the experience and never shot another since then. My reaction cracks me up watching it. lol.😂

Hi bushcraft. A 10 is a good round,but a 44 mag loaded with hardcast lead full house is alot better. ,but less rounds. . The whole secret is to practice with whichever you carry. . For hunting that 30-30 is a very good rifle. . That's the caliber I use for everything. And that 30-30 will be more effective on a bear than a 10 mm or 44 mag revolver. . But I understand why you choose the 10. Practice with what you are carrying for bear protection. I killed a grizzly bear in 1996. When I still lived in Alaska. We were hunting caribou. We each had a tag. And the bear took 4 shots to kill it. I was using a marlin 4570 and Bill had a 7mm mag. . It charged us after bill shot it. They can move very fast. We were hunting with 4 wheelers behind gunsight mountain. near eureka summit . Off the Glen highway.

Great adventure! Yes, Here in Washington I'm limited to ten rounds, but it's more than I get with a revolver. I've never been a hunter so that's one of the things I want to learn to do in my retirement years. It's illegal to shoot a grizzly here, and I hope I never have to in self defense. I'm also hoping to get a deer this winter and learn to skin it and butcher it.

I grew up hunting,trapping. After I got out of the army. I lived in Alaska until 2004. I came back home to Pennsylvania after Dad passed away. Unexpected. I hunt here in Pennsylvania and at our Maine cabin. Deer meat properly taken care of is better than beef. Black bear same thing. . God bless
