Hi from Pennsylvania buddy Jeff. Your fire pit looks good. We use an old heavy truck rim. I got it for free. It was bent by the wheel hitting a curb. It has center holes. And I did almost like yours. I just stacked rocks around it. We cook on it when at our Maine off grid cabin. That is where I'm retiring to. God bless.

Hi Marshall. I'm watching again Because what you do is awsome.. I watch you and see what im going to do. And have done before in Alaska. I have 5 1/2 more years. To go. Today i went to Pennfield Pennsylvania and ran my royal manufacturing highbanker digging for placer gold. I found gold there before. Here in Pennsylvania is fine flower gold. But its here. I was digging in a gravel pit. On their waste pile. Its full of clay round quartz and black sand. . I have found about 1/4 ounce of gold here. Going by a 1 oz. Gold jar. God bless. Washington has gold too. God bless. Your channel is awsome😊.

This was great and well said. I Bushcraft a lot alone and I know the difficulties that comes with it. Many people stay if SHTF happens they are heading to the mountains, woods, bush, etc. and I just shake my head because you can't tell them anything; they don't know what they are asking for especially if they don't have the skill set to survive in the Wilderness. Stay Safe.

Thank you. I agree completely. Watching someone on RU-vid is cool, but it isn't a skill until you've gone out and done it yourself. Survival is more than escaping a SHTF situation - it's being able to continue to survive through a bad situation. BTW I subbed to your channel.

As a instructor of Bushcrafting and Off Grid Living, most students change their minds when it's "on hands training", and some can't follow safety instructions. It's not "if" but when mistakes are made ,and hopefully don't need more than a First Aid kit .

If there are snowshoe rabbits there. Learn how to snare. I learned how by the native Alaska people from nickoli. God bless

I've been thinking about that too. I have to get my hunting license and check the local laws for snaring rabbits. Thanks!

Marshall. I use a weight instead of a spring pole.and a modified no 4 trigger. I do not know how to explain it better. I was taught by native Alaskan who adopted me from Nickoli. They treated me like their own. I had to leave Alaska when my Dad died cutting timber here in Pennsylvania. I grew up in the woods. And work in the forest for my job. God is good.

I checked the State hunting regulations and it isn't legal here to snare anything. Live traps only. So, I'll have to practice making snares but not use them so I can get the experience. Who knows... if SHTF someday - I'll be ready to snare food sources regardless of laws for a "Normal" time.
