We are getting our flock tested today so we can become NPIP certified which will allow us to sell and ship hatching eggs across state lines!
It is also the big day to say goodbye to Brutus and send him to freezer camp. We will miss him, but with the craziness, in the world and uncertainties, it will be nice having that security of food in the freezer that will nourish our bodies with the same level of love and care that we gave him while on our farm. This is why we are doing what we are doing.
