Getting out of Lumbridge - MonkManMode (#1) 

I want to clarify the moment at 30:12 because there have been many comments about it - yes, I should have wiped when that happened. However, we didn’t decide on the wipe mechanics until day 3. On day 1, I had planned to restart the entire account if I messed up (which is obviously a bad idea), hence the hesitancy to act. Sorry for not clarifying this in the video but I’ll be sure to clarify in the next one (and yes, I have actually wiped since I started)!

Should rush Ardy Cape 1 for easy access to an alter/ panic tele if prayer is low into a safezone

If you can enter dungeons that are within your chunk, you should also be able to do random events since you’re technically entering them from within the safe chunk. This will allow you to do the evil bob event for easy fishing xp

hey dude, try getting your hands on an holy symbol early on, gives 8 prayer bonus only requires a mould, a silver ore (20 mining and smithing), a ball of wool and 16 crafting you can bless the symbol at edge monestary

Since underground areas within safe zones are kosher. It's a crying shame you more than likely can't do the goblin quest series (prior to late game stages), and in effect gain access to the goblin capital of the Gilenor. IF it is possible early on you could essentially become a moss giant slayer champion, farm pray exp, obtain drops (mossy keys would be juiiiicy for that account regardless),AND redeem the long and curved bones for hefty CON exp enabling your posed house w/ altar meta. Final note, regarding the house altar deal is there a POH in a safe zone? If not how will you obtain altar materials and build in a safe amount of time???

You are able to use the Castle Wars teleport, but you need to enter a game. There are two altars in the castle wars chunk in the respawning rooms where you can recharge prayer. So there is another chunk that is available to you that's not on your map. I hope this can help in some way! Love the series concept!

I REALLY like the technical rule of the grids of this “type” of Ironman. Plus you have a really good method of exploration which means all quest are theoretically possible. Good shiz man

Once you have POH and an altar. You should have all house portal 64x64 open to you. Because that would technically be a altar.

rune mace gives 4, dragon mace gives 5 and void knight mace gives 6 just so you know the higher end mace prayer bonuses and yes maces do that lol

How does this fare against your rules? If you place your items on a table or drop them and venture into dangerous area to, for example, talk to someone for quest progression and run out of prayer on the way out, can you still pick up your items when you get back? Also, what about box of health in stronghold of security? Does that count as a prayer replenishment method until you use it?

Mega-excited for this series, it's cool to have a rationale which means that 'exceptions' don't need to be made at all from the start. Talking to Charlie at 38:50 made me nervous, so easy to fuck it up if he moves.

To get to the area west of Port sarim, couldn't you just have set your house in rimmington and then get the magiv level for house teleport and run from the portal with prayer on?

Does that mean until 31 Prayer you aren't allowed to use the monastery chunk due to not being able to reach the altar?

I know I'm a bit late, but does this mean if you dc in a non-safe zone it's account over? Cause your prayer wont be active when you log back in

there is an alter in fally castle if I recall so its a safe place to kill chickens since there is 2 in the court yard in osrs

you need to do the tests/math on how far you can run (tiles or chunks) at each pray level with each pray bonus. I'm looking forward to the theory-crafting of which routes are most efficient, you could have people test a best way through a forest or something. there's always a best path and i don't think anyone's optimized run pathing in osrs.

Would you consider adding the Demonic Ruins (Annakarl) chunk? Even though there's no altar, it still has the passive prayer regeneration, so I feel like it could be considered.

haven't watched the video yet, but there's an alter inside the underground pass, which is why you had west Ardougne unlucked.

The more southern part of varrock that you're allowed in has a chronicle teleport that can be used if you're in danger.

Why does castle wars not count as a safe zone it has two altars within the play area?

in falador there actually is an altar in the castle! its just on one of the floors

Don't know if you thought about it. but to get to ardougne. Use minigame to clan wars. there is an altar. Use castle wars portal, then you need to have enough prayer to run to ourania altar chunk. and from there you can run to monastery

You could easily run through varrock recharge your prayer before the Wildy and go to the chaos temple and use all the bones on the floor and bury them, surely faster than killing them ?

Just wondering, should each altar not be at the center of any given chunk? From what I noticed looking at your map, some altars are right at the border of any given chunk, while others are at the center

how about teleporting ? like u can go falador by spell use ur prayer and tp back to lumbridge which u wont have to travel those 3 chunks ?

So the wizard's tower chunk is open because of the altar underground. Does that mean that if there is an altar in some underground zone, that the chunk that contains the underground entrance is safe? If so, then wouldn't that also make that entire underground area safe, regardless if it's bigger than a chunk?

but what about building an altar in your POH and just home tele at anypoint to never lose?

Love the idea! I think you need to reconsider your permadeath rule though from running out of prayer. It's going to mean there's so much less risk taking and testing, and the end result will probably be you just burying bones to like 60 prayer before you do much of anything.

You could always level your magic to a point where you can teleport to a safe zone. That way you won't have to suicide if your prayer is about to run out.

You should always have a Lumbridge Teleport when you have them unlocked, as a final resort to not die. Yanille has the Nightmare Zone if you need that for a teleport.

It will be nice to be around for the start of an account. Looking forward to the series.

Hey, cavebob, I really am enjoying this style of progress videos with all the conversations. This series looks like it will be a lot of fun to watch and keep it up. Just had an idea. if you are doing this all on stream maybe putting chat on the videos kinda like zfg's highlight videos would make the coversations you are talking to easier to follow.

If you can go anywhere underground that has a safe enterence the random events are ok if you are in a safe place when you talk to them.
