I was taking 850mg metformin once a day and it regulated my cycle and the second cycle we actually started ttc and i got pregnant. This is my first pregnancy at 33. To say im happy is an understatement, i had already given up on having a baby.

I have just discovered your RU-vid. I was diagnosed this year after having no issues ever and having a daughter 4 years ago! Everything you’ve said about contraceptives masking symptoms growing up I relate to! Also the hair after I came off them!! Lol! I was diagnosed with PCOS in 2019 my doctor told me would have do a lot of testing and i refused to do so not because i couldn't afford it but it trust God and i finally get my first positive today without no meds or any supplements my advice to not put it so much on your mind just keep on baby dance everyday you can and trust God timing is the best timing

I am the same. I was diagnosed with PCOS at the age of 18ish. I had metformin then and i lost quite a bit of weight. I'm 28 now. I naturally fell pregnant in September 2019 after trying for 2 months, however sadly lost the baby at 13 weeks. 💔 I gained a lot of weight since that loss. And my periods have become even more irregular, probably cos of the weight gain. I've just started metformin and trying to lose the weight. Finding it so so hard. Feel really hopeless and lost. I really hope I fall pregnant again and it's successful. Not sure why I'm sharing this with you. But things have been so hard. But I feel like I can relate with everything you said.

Thank you for your video. My Endocrinologist got me on Metformin for PCOS just diagnosed. I also have hypothyroidism since 18years old. The same things happened to me as you. For a long time I was telling my doctors that I think something is wrong I have hair on my chin and neck area growing, long cycles, hard to loose weight even with strict diet and exercise, I was able to loose weight but it was extremely hard. Busted my butt went from 198 lbs to 160 lbs in 16 weeks ☺️. But from this last October to now I gained 16 lbs. 🥵 I even had a few doctors say why are you complaining of not having a period I would be glad to not have a period 🧐🤨 that should never be said to a patient! Finally got a great nurse practitioner who said yes I see a problem too I’m just not sure exactly what so I’m referring you to a Endocrinologist because my tsh was all of a sudden really high along with high testosterone and my cycles were getting longer. I had no idea what PCOS was. Did a lot of research and watched whatever videos I could find. So thank you for sharing your story it’s really reassuring.

I’m due to start metformin soon (just waiting for the letter from my referral doctor) and I’m really worried about the side effects, I’ve started eating a low sugar / low carb diet in anticipation hoping that the 💩 won’t affect me too badly! Great video! X

I knew I had PCOS at 15, but doctors laughed at me. Then, the pill masked my symptoms, just like you said. Now, at 28, I finally have a diagnosis and I just started metformin yesterday 🤞🏻 I’m lucky in that I have no issues with hair, or cysts, and my cycles are pretty regular-ish if not long (30-38 days), but the weight and mood swings and fatigue….wow. I hope this will be enough to sort myself out 🙏🏻

What treatment will you/have you got back to after giving birth? metformin and inositol or BC until you decide to conceive next time?

Do you mind me asking where you went for your private appt, i recently had an nhs appt with a male doctor and let's just say i left in tears as I'm not sure if i can get a second opinion on the nhs. I'm considering going private as i have insurance too via work but will obviously wait until the uk returns to normal (no more corona).

Hi Bhavi. Thank you so much for this video. I started Metformin 500mg once a day and like you they increased it to 500mg in the morning and at night. I am also experiencing diarrhea at the moment and a few other things you mentioned. When I get my period, I get such terrible uterus contractions, I can't walk, stand, sit- it's unbearable. I can't even go to work. I live in South Africa, and our public health system isn't very good and private Medical Aid (you all call it Medical insurance) is so super expensive. So I have to use public health. They have been very sympathetic and gave me medication for the PCOS. I really hope things work out for me, as well as every woman struggling with this issue. How much of the inositol were you taking with the metformin?I just started metformin on day 3 and I take 2000mg of inositol in pills right now with it.is that to much? Thanks

I got pregnant twice using this medication… I have had PCOS since I was 17 the first time I took met Forman for three months and not knowing I got pregnant as soon as I tried the second time I got pregnant with Met Forman was as soon as I got off of the Nexplanon birth control a month later I was pregnant with PCOS🎉

My gyneacologist just put me on metformin today and gave me 3 months to get pregnant. Really hoping for the best❤

When you began metformin, how did your facial hair go away and if so, after how long?

My doctors denied me metformin until I went to an Endocrinologist (doctor who specializes in hormone imbalances)

I am taking metformin 1000 mg a day...I started from 500 mg and luckily didnt experience any side-effects..After increase the dose I had nausea but its bearable now I am having stomach pain and bloating...the pain is like periods pain, feeling strong pinches in the sides of stomach and its painful....does anybody experience the same ?

I have PCOS. They put me on normal metformin and I couldn’t stay on it because of the side effects. But I’ve just started on a slow releasing one to hopefully help! xx
