Just to let you know, your rummaging in the glove box will most likely make a police officer nervous. Wait for them to get to your window before going in there. I'm not sure of your geographical location, but in the US, some folks store their pistols in the glove box. If you're a police officer, this will make you wary and likely escalate what was originally just a traffic stop.

If you were in America, that cop would have ordered you to turn off the camera and also would have wrestled you out of the car and onto the ground. He would also think you taking out your wallet beforehand would be a threatening action.

keep both hands on the wheel make sure all windows are down ,car is off , if its dark turn on the lights inside your car and greet your officer and if you're are recording 1st make sure it legal in your area and 2nd let the officer know that your recording him . here in the states it can get escalated pretty quickly

use stainless steel screws to hold your car's license plates on, as the regular steel ones rust and make a mess of everything. You can get stainless steel screws, nuts and bolts, and washers at any Home Depot store, sometimes at local Home Hardware stores also.

Let me explain why that law exists: There are lots of places on 2-lane roads where cars need to stop in busy traffic to make a left turn. If everyone went onto the gravel to pass the stopped car then soon the gravel shoulder would be all chewed up and that actually has resulted in the pavement itself becoming all broken and chewed up as well. A lot of costs to fix the damage to the road surface each year. So a long time ago they made a law that if there was a gravel surface, then you cannot use it to pass a vehicle that is making a left turn, instead you just have to wait and wait and wait. Now if there is an 'extended' paved shoulder in just that one spot, you CAN pass that vehicle on the right and that is allowed. I just learned about this a few months ago when I was bored and waiting in line at an automotive supply store, so I picked up a 'New Driver's Manual' and started reading the rules of the road. I learned that there was so much that I didn't know about, so I ended up buying that book, its probably going to help prevent me from getting similar tickets in the future like the one you just got. Here in Canada police are allowed to pull you over for no good reason, just to check out your license and registration. It is allowed here. I have had this a few times since I had my car's cruise control set at the posted speed limit and they thought that it was suspicious that I was going so slow. The funny thing is that other cars who were going 10 km/hr (6 mph) over the speed limit were getting speeding tickets, so you either get stopped and ticketed for going a bit too fast, or you get stopped and NOT ticketed for doing the speed limit, either way you are going to get stopped for one reason or another here in Canada. As long as I don't get a ticket I'm okay with that.

i have one ticket on my record from 11 years ago. and it wasnt all that bad. now i just dont bother with speeding or manuvers that arent necessary. they take too much effort. but your videos on how to drive better are pretty good. as a standard transmission driver myself, i love to learn these things.

last semester there was a robbery in the student center bank by "an asian man". my chinese roommate got stopped on the sidewalk because he's an asian man. they had him in cuffs and everything he asked them if they could get his phone out for him and take a picture of his first time in handcuffs

This is how pull over cop encounters should be like, be nice and respectful, give the documents for verification and make it easy for everyone, and especially for yourself.

Wait for the cop to ask before you reach across your car into the glove box. Turn your car off and leave your hand on the wheel until the cops asks you for anything. Edit: Wear your seat belt the belt the correct way, do not tuck it under your shoulder. You just got pulled over ffs

You should do a video of how to disassemble a side view. My mirrors are pearl white but I have black pearl caps that I got from a junkyard and I wanna switch but I don't know how to take apart the assembly without breaking the mirror. That would be a really helpful if you had the time.

If you have a dash cam or a GPS: mount them on the dash, NOT on the glass, because in half of the U.S. states it is illegal to have ANYTHING affixed to the glass itself. Having stuff on the dash is okay as long as whatever you have on the dash is not at eye-level so that it does not block a portion of your view of the road. I put my dash-cam on a Circular piece of plastic that came with my Garmin GPS unit, and then I stick it to the dash with 4 small squares of double-stick tape. Works great, and can be easily removed later. I put my GPS down low, just to the right of the steering wheel's steering column, there it does not get in the way of anything yet still gets a pretty good signal from the GPS satellites. You know, if have your engine running and you simply TOUCH your GPS, that is a ticket-able offense in Ontario. Placing my GPS way down low allows me the freedom to touch the screen and set coordinates while stopped in traffic at a stop light, without worrying about someone nearby giving me a ticket for touching my GPS. It is now located right beside the radio so it looks like I am simply switching stations on the radio, the two are only 1 inch apart.

Man, I just worked for 3 years to buy a new Cadillac, and I got pulled over the other day for "Fictitious Plates" (apparently the transfer didn't go through), and he said it's a Class 1 Misdemeanor, arrested me, and towed my car. It was also my first time getting pulled over. yet you have like, 21 tickets and got away with a "Have a nice day". My officer must've been way behind on his quota...

Here in the USA. The cops would pull over my grandpa just because he was black and gave him fines.

My police encounters are more like. "Take a good look a this tiny crack in my windshield I'm not going to be replacing it anytime soon. " or..."Go ahead and give me a no seat belt ticket. I'll fight it in court" Ha Ha.
