Nice! Glad to hear that it helped. There will be good times and bad times, but stick with it. Eventually it becomes second nature and is a great hobby!! I have more videos on my channel to help with Creality Print and am currently working on some more! Thanks for the kind words and thanks for watching!!
@@pushingplastic7445 I'll definitely check out your other videos. There's a lot to learn from your channel and learning to 3D print means a lot to me since I need my printed parts to be watertight and keep my LEGO RC ships afloat. A "bad" part could cause collateral damage to motors, batteries, and electronics...
@@brickandgearLast summer I printed a large Benchy, added a motor, prop and electronics. The last thing I wanted was leaks!!!! I hope to see your ships afloat in the near future!!
Awesome! Glad it helped! I have a few more videos coming out for Creality Print. I hope you'll find them helpful too! Thanks for watching! What printer did you get?
Thanks for the excellent video. I just set up my new 3 V3 Plus. Of course, the first test was the bnechy on the USB key that they provided. It's already GCode, so not sure of all the settings to produce the most perfect benchy I have ever seen. My old printer is not even close at all. And MUCH slower! This printed the benchy in 14 mins and the quality is amazing. At the moment, I can't use Cura for this printer as it's Klipper based. Apparently there is a way to tweak Cura into working, but I'll try that later and hope that slicing with Cura will give the same excellent results. So for now, it's Creality Slicer for me. I was HOPING that it would look enough like Cura to make the learning curve less. In the video, it is, in that, when you clicked Edit it popped up with the menus to choose everything at a glance, like Cura. BUT THEIR NEW, CURRENT VERSION..... wow!!! Not so much. It's weird how some companies simply must screw with an already good thing. The interface is not user-friendly now, like the one in this video. In fact, some of the things I would normally like to change, were difficult to find... but with the help of this video and the work-flow, I was able to find most. I still need to find FUZZY! That's a MUST HAVE for me!
Thanks for the kind words! First, let's find the must have Fuzzy. On the right side of the interface, there is an icon that looks like a clover. It's actually "Other". Click on that and scroll down to the bottom and you'll find the Fuzzy Skin setting. You might need to turn on Advanced settings. That icon is also on the right side of the screen, about a 1/4 of the way down, next to the word "Processes". It looks like slider bars. A lot of slicers are starting to look more and more a like, Orca, Prusa, Bambu Studio, Super Slicer and a few others look like this. I use to use Cura all of the time as well, but got use to these other slicers over time. I still use Cura for my older Ender printers, but with my Ender 3 V3 Se, I use Creality and Orca Slicer. I'm currently updating my videos for the newer version of Creality Print so I hope you'll check back for more in the future!!! Thanks for watching!
Hey with creality print 5.0 i can't make gcode-file. I can export my project to an stl-file but that's it. I know there is a dropdown where you normally should be able to select another file type but there is none... Anyone any idea?
After you click "Slice Plate", right below that button there is the "LAN Printing" button. You can use that to send your gcode to the printer if you are using a printer that is WiFi enabled. If not, click the Up arrow on the right side of that same button and use the "Export to local" option. This will export your Gcode. I hope this helps! Thanks for watching.
when you transfer a file why does the pic of the creality not change to the proper pic or give a print time? I noticed in your video yours was 0 min. mine does the same. (just purchased unit) great video as well. I picked up on some errors i was doing and your step by step was great.
Good eye! I have to be honest, I never noticed it. I usually hit print and then watch the nozzle and bed temperature. If they're climbing as they should I usually walk away. Now that you've pointed it out, I'll be watching and see if I can come up with answer. I'll post it here so you'll be notified of it. Thanks for pointing that out and thanks for watching!
There are a few versions on that page. I was using the latest at the time. In fact. they've just put out an update a few days ago on that same page! Thanks for watching!
Thanks for that, instead of transferring via sd physically, is it possible to plug in the printer (ender 3 v3 se) via the usb c cable and print directly?
Hi Bill. I watched the video where you fixed dimensions in cura using horizontal expansion. It was very informative. I have been using the creality slicer with my Ender 3 V3 SE. I have both slicers but I find Creality is faster. The problem is Creality doesn't have the hole expansion and my holes are .4mm to small. I am printing a lot of functional parts for myself and it is a pain having to test print every connection before I print the part. Is there a setting for it that I am missing ? Thanks
Good news! Creality Print does have Horizontal Expansion. Open the settings dialog and at the top of the settings box, turn on "Advanced", the click the "Shell" category on the left side of the dialog. Scroll about half way down the list of settings and you'll find Horizontal Expansion. Let me know if you have any problem finding it! Good luck! Thanks for the comment and thanks for watching!!
@@neilmaccubbin844 Got it! My bad. I haven't see a hole expansion either now that you mentions. I just took a look at Creality Print again. Their tool tip says to use Horizontal Expansion for holes, but I know doing that will affect the outer dimensions of the model as well. I'll have to do a little bit of testing to see if that's true or not but I suspect I'm right. I'll also dig a little deeper for the hole expansion.
73? Nice!!!! It amazes me how wide and vast the 3D Printing community is!!!! It can be a tough hobby at times but overall it's great!! Good luck and welcome to the community! Thanks for watching!
I cant find it in my downloads it only shows one thing I had download from last week but when I go onto my downloads when the creality print not open it's there ??
Hey, I just got my Ender 3 v3 SE today (my first ever 3d printer). What's the best way to calculate max volumetric speed? Together with the printer I've got myself a Spectrum PETG Matt and I've looked up on it's specifications. From the formula that I found on reddit (line width * line height * printing speed) I got something around ~8.4mm3/sec. What I don't understand is why by default built-in Creality PETg profile has 18.00mm3/sec? Is it because their filament can be printed faster or the print speed of filament doesn't matter?
I believe you are looking for the Zoffset. That is set from printers control panel. If that's not what you're looking for, let me know. But before changing your z offset be sure to do some research first! Good luck and thanks for watching!
My Benchy is not printing. It does not give me the printing time. And, it keeps cutting off, and not starting the print phase. What am I doing wrong! I know that I am right there, but there is a small thing that I am doing wrong!
Export comes in handy. Even after you make changes that you want to keep as permanent. I've already made changes, forgot to export and at some point hit the reset button. I lost my settings....thanks for watching!
To change the language in Creality Print, select the 4th drop down menu option from the left (Tools) then select the top option in that drop down menu. That is for the language settings. I hope this helps.
I'm not sure if you've tried Creality Print which replaced Creality Slicer? Prusa slicer does give a lot more control of the print settings. Have you tried Orca Slicer?
@@pushingplastic7445 …yes, just that one. I have tried pretty much all available ones during the last years and PrusaSlicer feels most comfortable and most continuous automatically updating. :)
@@Anthony0330T You can try another sd card if you have one, or reformat the card you have using FAT32 format. Then move your GCODE file to card and check.
