I got the “flick a cigarette on someone’s corpse” achievement completely randomly simply by emoting in the middle of a fight because I was 12 and couldn’t figure out the controls lol
I even ask for extra McChicken sauce packets and the staff is so friendly and more than willing to oblige. One time I asked for McChicken sauce packets and they gave me three. I said, "Wow, three for free!" and the nice friendly McDonald's worker laughed and said, "I'm going to call you 3-for-free!" Now the staff greets me with "hey it's 3-for-free!" and ALWAYS give me three packets. It's such a fun and cool atmosphere at my local McDonald's restaurant, I go there at least 3 times a week for lunch and a large iced coffee with milk instead of cream, 1-2 times for breakfast on the weekend, and maybe once for dinner when I'm in a rush but want a great meal that is affordable, fast, and can match my daily nutritional needs. I even dip my fries in McChicken sauce, it's delicious! What a great restaurant!

I'm pretty sure you just have to kill 3 jarate'd players with the kukri in 1 life. regardless of whether you leave a server and join another one, as long as you don't die it should count towards the achievement.

The thing about Equalizer achievement was that the achievement was made for the old equalizer, which was basically equalizer+escape plan+it blocked healing. It also dealt more damage to the point that you could one shot a heavy with a crit at low enough health.
Just got flight canceled recently, it only counts headshots from uncharged headshots, and doesn't count with Bazzar because it charges slightly differently. Really wonky. Might jumpcut myself to metal massacre as those 3 MvM achievements are the only ones I have left as well.
On one hand, I appreciate that TF2's achievements are.. well, actually achievements. But on the other.. it's literally impossible to get 100% achievement completion in this game through legitimate means.
Especially when you consider some achievements are broken, the ones that require you to post a video on yt and get a specific amount of views cant even be completed because the game cant track the yt view count anymore, rofl.
@@naoaquieopatrickpatrick8565the only way you can get those YT achievements is through community servers with those commands (I would know, I did the !giveitems command out of pure curiosity, it felt so wrong being handed at least 2 dozen achievements knowing i didn't earn them myself, and those YT achievements were part of that batch)
it's called tilt-shift photography, I don't know the science behind why, but when you blur the top and bottom area of any photo or video it makes it look like a miniature
@@deegee6062 when you take shots of things like miniatures (or even flowers) it runs basically with a very shallow focus, so anything closer or further away is out of focus.

7:37 Those freezes are actually caused by your game trying to load a new sound from your drive and the drive taking too long to load it, I realized this after checking the console when this happened to me when playing a training map offline. Turns around that FOR SOME REASON IT'S BETTER TO FREEZE USER'S GAME INSTEAD OF NOT PLAYING A RANDOM SOUND OR PLAYING IT PARTIALLY OR TOO LATE THANK YOU VALVE. I moved the game to SSD and it helped a lot, if you can't do that then go into some solo gamemode, killing a bot with a crit will almost always cause that freeze as the game loads the crit sound, then check console and look up what is says online for potential fixes. I've found three commands personally: Two that had something with force preload in them, one apparently got removed, the other one does nothing. Then there is one that goes along the lines of async_mode or similar and it caused my game to stutter while loading pretty much every sound when enabled so that was also a nope, then there was something like snd_restart or similar basically apparently it restarts sound in some way and allegedly it helps if you run in at the start of every round (binding it is recommended) but for me it also doesn't do anything
Yep, this goes for every content-heavy Source game installed on an HDD; namely TF2 and GMod. There's a TF2 mod that loads a map of bots battling as your main menu background--works great as a way to preload everything.
So thaaat's why my game's laggy as shit when I first load into 2fort and always, without fail, freezes up the moment I dive down into the water in the middle. Thank you gaben for your very good internet video game 👍 Maybe it's finally time to replace my 6 year old laptop...
I just grinded out Prime Cuts the other day and I gotta say I'm super impressed that it only took you an hour; I spent THREE AND A HALF trying to get it because I was _convinced_ my first scout kill didn't gib, and then I of course couldn't find any scouts for a good hour and a half, aside from the rare sighting that always caught me off guard and left me dead. Anyways just a word of advice to anyone going for it: write down whenever you gib a class because sometimes you'll just convince yourself you already got a pyro when you never did (also autobalancing doesn't undo your progress!) 🙂

I think the great deflate is harder than flight cancelled because you have to kill 79 people wearing the balloonicorn. I've only gotten 10 after 5000 hours in tf2
I've gotten that achivement legit. Everytime I saw someone with the balloonicorn I went demoknight and 100% tunnel visioned. It took me a really long time to get, but I finally got it in the end.

You could've used custom missions for the MvM achievments, you can easily create and submit a mission where bots just spawn in an open field constantly and get it insanely quickly.
@@dyngle2926 Neither is thousands of MvM games... I tested it and at max robot killing speed it'd take you 28 days straight with a mini sentry firing thousands per second 1HP robots spawning in the middle of the map.
I adore the use of the Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes OST. It's weirdly fitting for TF2 also the video is good as well! Getting achievements is good but tf2's are bad
21:11 when you kill a robot as sniper it drops red particle money which gives scouts buffs but doesn't count as money, that's what they picked up. also the achievement just means you're not supposed to pick them up
As a Sniper main, a little while back I tried to finish getting all the Sniper achievements I didn't have yet. The last one I needed was Jarate Chop. It took me literal months to finally get it. I tried every combination of Pee and Knife. Every variation of person-to-pee ratio. But still no achievement. I was convinced it was either bugged or extremely convoluted on how it actually counted doing it. Finally I just gave up and did it on tr_Walkway... I'm not proud, but I sure am glad to never have to try that again.
Let me just acknowledge and praise you for the Voodoo Vince music at 10:57, it's a game I loved as a kid and I don't think I know of anyone else who played it

Ive learned that if theres an invisible enemy, you can use the demo record feature to bring them back. The command was something like record fix;stop;restart or something. It forces all models to reload after the demo stops recording.
@@jathomar Yes that. It fixes "ghost players" by forcing the game to reload all models. It freezes your game for a solid minute but it's worth it if there's some invisible dude sniping your head off that you cannot see at all.
For me, the hardest achievement is the one where you gotta win 10 round of Pass Time. I recently tried to make progress on it, since you get a hat for that. I waited a ridiculous amount of time for a lobby. After my team lost the first round, they all left. Forcing me into a 1v3, meaning I had to quit and reque. I made literally zero progress that day.

McDoubble split in the middle (one bun and one pattie in each stack) and a McChicken tossed right between those suckers. ah, Near Death Experience, that was such an easy achievement for me to get. Honestly your fault for having waited until after they destroyed the Equalizer, the split into 2 weapons took them quite a while and several TF2 beta test branches.
I tried doing Prime Cuts once. It was on the longest match of Foundry in history, and I got to 8/9 classes. Then the game ended. That was ten years ago.
