dude it's so fun watching this UNISG run while Cheeki Breeki's releasing his own Loner run almost at the same time because he's always afraid of the Mercs and always trying to avoid Army Warehouse's Checkpoint. I feel like I'm reading the war diaries from both sides, you know?
If you aren't using the SEVA suit as a disguise then trade it in to your boy in Jupiter as UNISG armor variants are generally the best versions. Will cost a bit of money, but for UNISG in particular it can be super worth it
Fire playthrough so far I am playing merc right now in my mine, but deff going to do a UNISG playthrough next, watched until the end. The free stalkers probably have hit contracts on you after you murdered the piss out of there faction.
Love this series, Idk how you make 42 minutes feel like 10, but time flies when you're enjoying yourself I guess. Excited to see what's next. Good hunting Stalker
Im no stalker vet by any means but what i look for in a suit is mostly what upgread paths it has. Artifacts and other belt attachments go pretty hard compared to raw suit stats and rad protection is important to me personally since i dont want to chug meds all the time when going up further north. You should also take into consideration what faction it is from so you can more easily move around. Freedom would be very good (even just light armor) since they are chill with everyone except Duty and Military in the South. Any scientist faction wear would be even better, you can upgread the SSP-99 suits to reduce the weight to nearly nothing when just carrying it wich makes it easier to just swap it when having to move through Rostock or other high density areas.
^ yeah this, it's one of the best early-ish game suits. If I can find one that's my go to suit until I get up to Heavy armor, it's kept me alive when wiping out all the Mercs in Zaton on my current play through
20:24 I never use Dead City - Yantar entrance if im bringing companion, they always ended up underground where you fought the pseudogiant during Miracle Machine quest...
Every now and then RU-vid will toss me a recommendation out of nowhere, and even rarer is it actually a good channel - you're one of the very few, and you're fantastic. Love your content.
a quick tip on weapons is when you use the repair menu on a workbench change 1 part at a time and hit repair(it won't use a charge on the kit) doing this gives a total condition repair for free on each part changed which when changing 4-5 parts can get you near 90% condition without using the special consumable repair oils. Another tip for item sorting is in the mcm menu options there is one called sorting plus and you can toggle to make favorited items highlighted(green background) and there's also an option to sort favorited items to the top immediately and not when reopening the inventory. Lastly, you might want to take 2 crafted storage boxes with you and place 1 down inside a zone you might be fighting in and the other where you are fighting so you can store and ferry between the zone border(you can pick up a placed storage by hitting take all when it's empty) and then place the 2nd storage inside the zone you are moving back into so you can minimize travel time between the boundaries. Btw the bodies leave dots on the minimap mod is so helpful because of how long it takes to make the PDA that has that ability. Also, take the RF signal missions if they are in an area you want to quest/move to as they are usually a signal to a full dead squad that each has full loot(I got a squad in my trial ISG run on the first day in meadow that had the mp5sd variant with a green barrel along with either that same mission or another netting me a vss with a green barrel.
Just FYI: That guy named "Zhora Big-eyed" @13:11 had an Semi-Auto-Shoty. It's barrel was F* BUT it's a SPAS-12 and it can be fixed with the green Historic repair kit, magsize = 8. LOL, We all miss stuff it happens.
I have noticed that if you keep 'interactive grass' on in the SSS mod settings menu, You can gauge where the bloodsuckers and psysuckers are when they are rushing you. You can see the grass moving out of the way as the mutant moves around. I always had this disabled to save a few FPS but I accidently left it on. call it a happy accident.
I see your rocking Remington 870. But if by all means you come across a Kalashnikov Saiga12 , That shotgun is gonna blow your mind ..the only catch ; mercs and UNISG use it . Also the over all good armor imo is the Loner Voyager heavy armor , exceptional rapture res decent BR and 5 belt slots by default; the catch is upgrades ...there not much you can add to it sadly , so keep an eye for that ( drop off Stashes only )
I might be imagining things, but you could sew any patch to any suit/armor in old Anomaly/CoM/other old mods? 20:31 dang that dark red stash mark is barely visibe! And yeah - if that ain't Merc ACE = dismantle. And thos exo parts are good sources of metar scraps. Don't think you can repair them? Yeah - scraps it is! I've stared doing guide/escort missions recently - free companion(s)+money+traveling on foot for an adventure+visiting old locations and other reasons.
bandit suits are generally trash compared to equal comparisons. Merc gear is pretty good depending on what protection you are looking for (balistic, rupture, environmental). Can't go wrong with NATO gear; freedom or Duty are a close second IMO.
The upgraded PDA has Kiltrak, which shows enemies you kill on the ground. Personally I dislike it as it makes me keep track of my kills, but that's just me being a bit masochistic
I dont play Stalker, dont follow it but got this recommended to me. Sat through 42 min without noticing. Felt like it was 15 min video, it was that interesting. Dropping a sub and waiting anxiously for the next one.
I started at Rookie, took a bounty quest to the Mill. Kill two dogs on my way there and cleared the area. Sniped my target and head back Rookie. Five minutes at the most. On the way back, I get jumped by a pack of, no shit, 8 dogs. Die. Wtf is up with the spawn rate in this? Less than five minutes and I get a huge spawn of dogs that tear me to pieces in what is essentially a minute jog between areas. It’s fun. Don’t get me wrong, but having boars that can take full mags of AK fire and snort as if laughing at you, random spawns of mutants out of nowhere and a few other inconsistencies is a bit annoying. I read that you have to do updates to fix these problems, but it was a fresh install. How is there a missing update when you use the latest files from the Discord? Makes no sense.
If you are confronting a bloodsucker, just chase him, because the IA tells him to walk around you and atack, if you chase the guy, it will not turn invisible
I do escort missions all the time. As long as the main quest giver doesn't die, I think not sure if the quest giver can die, it's ok. As for as @20:30 when your guys went into the factory, that's a normal glitch for Yantar. I just keep going and they usually path out. But I like the sides missions. We actually live off of them.
Hey brother, afaik the mod 'He's with me', on by default, makes your companions friendly to your friendlies and enemies of your enemies while they're with you, no matter they'ret faction.
I have a base set up in Limansk as it's great for killing Monolith for loot. I set up in the building above the secret room with the time machine easter egg in it. You climb the stairs and jump through the window and you can even save in there. When Monolith see you they all cluster at the blocked door and don't move lol
To teleport companions.. even though there is a key bind for it ("J"), there is a mod you have to enable first in the mod launcher. At least that was the case for me in my year old version of gamma.
20:48 the old bind for companion teleport was J but since the taskbar was implemented J is now the taskboard and Num Pad 6 is the new teleport companion but i just took off the taskboard bind and put the teleport back to J
i'd have gone crazy in all the underground areas without a companion, and their pathing is kinda bugged in those areas so i had to setup the teleport companion thing, afaik you have to enable a mod in mo2, but even then it didnt work until i bound the key to numpad 6, you can spam it if they dont come to you immediately, but dont hit it near a hostage rescue
If you go into the mod organizer and right click on the hideout furniture expansion mod you can reinstall it from there and its only one click and it installs.
You can save up 5 basic toolkits in order to turn them into an advanced toolkit at a crafting station. 4 if youve gotten the achievement of having crafted enough items.
I coincidentally started a UNISG run a day before your first UNISG episode got released, its been fun watching these and seeing how my run compares to yours. Big ups
I'ma just set something straight; Companions are always on "YOUR" Faction, not your faction faction, as in UNISG, but on the players faction. Ergo, if you have a Duty companion as a loner, you can also have a Freedom companion at the same time. The normal faction AI kicks in after you drop both of them out of your party. If you would drop for example Freedom member from your party, the duty one wont attack him, unless you also kick the duty member from your party. Hope this helps!
By the way, GAMMA has "He's with me" mod installed. Meaning all your companions are temporary placed in your faction. Meaning companion Mercs WILL attack Ecologists. And for example if you play a Loner you can visit Rostok with Freedom companions, no one will attack them. It's convenient, you don't need to think about technicalities.
I found your channel recently and i wanted to say how much you remind me of TheRadBrad, love your videos and gamma playthroughs. Also, maybe rethink a base in Jupiter, remember what happened last time? lmaoo
10:31 Best AR in the game right there. That shit is soooooo good... Precise as a sniper rifle, highly customizable and easy & cheap to mantain. The firerate is a bit on the lower side (at least for 5.56 standards), but thats a good thing IMO, cuz it make it easier to control in fuil auto and also saves a lot of ammo at the long run.
I swear there is some secret mod in GAMMA that listens to the mic and spawns mutants when it hear anyone say "pretty quiet..." "haven't seen anything in a while!" "This is easy!". Every time a streamer says anything like that, they just get a bloodsucker in their face!
loving the playthrough, been gettng back into the modpack myself and yours is my favorite content i've found on it. you saying that a pack of 3 boars is a sign of "ramping threat" made me chuckle, my first mission from rookie village had me fight a pack of 6 Boars pre-nerf. thought something was off with that 🤣
Sorry to hear about your dog bro, Hopefully its a speedy recovery. I got a lucky find and now I have a portable med station so I dont have to buy meds for the most part.
so few tips for you 1. you can enable blue dots in mini map by upgrading your PDA to tier 2 you can buy recopies from technician. 2. you can torn off 1 more patch of armors if you take them in to your inventory. 3. there is chance to get free upgrade kit if you dismantle the upgraded gear from npc
something you may want to look at with suits when looting is potential disguses as well, might add some fun and excitement to the playthrough to sneak into enemy bases and se whats going on, kind of suits the UNISIG theme as well
All content you produce is great, even the side task stuff, infact i wish there was more. I cant get enough of this long form stalker content always a thrill to watch. your stuff has definitly become my favorite along side cheeki breeki's content. great stuff man keep it up.
loving this series and the longer vids are always good, same with the side mission perpetration is such a big part of stalker and it’s cool to show the work u need to put in to successfully do the big flash missions. Hope ya dog recovers soon and that ya vet bill ain’t to big bc damn do they charge something Ridiculous 😂
And I was just looking for something to watch on RU-vid, good timing! Edit: Couple of things after watching the vid 1. Hope your doggo feels better soon 2. Tapping J once at anytime should teleport your companions, you have to activate it on mod organizer then bind the key in the mod config on the pause menu, it's called Quick companion teleport. @Qloud 3. As to awnser your question IMO I love all content side or main just sucks when it has to come to an end TBH. 4. Might wanna look into uprgading your PDA it will show bodies of killed NPC's on the mini-map (It wont show them if you reload the save though). Right after i posted this I unpaused your vid and you were talking about re-enabling it haha. I didn't know you could just have it on, on a level 1 PDA good to know. 5. RIP Vadim Breeder you will always be remembered.
@Qloud The one tube nightvision which the gen 1 is closest to (if designed for being worn over one eye) is typically worn on the right eye so you aren't wrong about it looking better being on the right side.
You've been complaining about fog this entire playtrough, the last one and the first one in gamma 0.9 from 6 months ago. You don't like fog. I get it. Maybe if you go into the Visual Settings, under Weather and turn down the Fog....you know. Won't be as foggy.
As always, a very cool episode. That M4 is sexy! I wish i could play this like you but i am a scrub when it comes to PC games, played on console for years, i am absolutely terrible at installing mods and honestly the amount of buttons needed to play is very intimidating anyway to my brain that is used to a controller.
