if you want a easier time getting Gunsmithing tools you should go more south! Medow, Cordon, great swamps got the highest chances of getting gunshmithing tools in a green stash. anything further north makes the chances less but you could still get some.

M4 Butcher and Hera AR15 both have that check chamber animation when you pull them out. it's cool at first, but trust me, it'll get really annoying after a while. takes too long, and when you need your AR ready, you need it ready fast. imo
Agreed, it takes way too long mid fight, the ak105 shakel has a similar effect by taking the gun off safe every time you pull it out but it is quicker so its better to deal with

I think gun smithing and medical tools have the highest chance of spawning in the southern areas (swamps, cordon, garbage, etc.). Probably hard to get missions down there as UNISG - maybe a disguise? =)
wrong. since the big patch a few months ago tools never spawn in white stashes anymore, only in green ones. the clear sky questline to clear the swamps from bandits and military rewards gunsmithing tools at the end (i think it does, i never done it myself) but thats a rare exception, only thing you can really do is keep doing tasks until you get a green stash as reward then hope for the best.
Really struggling with this episode the way you freak out over every little thing, over-reacting to every little thing and some of the mind numbing over commentary, it's usually better to let the gameplay speak for itself. Also you get into bad situations where you could easily just retreat or just vault a ledge, but you over inflate (dramatically) the situation and make it out far worse than it is, probably just for more likes I'm guessing..
another 40min video is awesome. love to see you're doing a lot more longer form videos nowdays. Stalker is just one of those games which is always interesting to watch, even the quiet moments. Different kind of melancholy peace.
Bro, do not use ISG armor. Use merc armor. You can exchange armor with any faction, you just have to be disguised as them. Merc armor is the best cause you can disguise ad them when you do not want to fight bandits, freedom, or clear sky.
If you find an fn fal or SA 58 (osw or aus), be sure to test them out before deciding on your next all purpose gun, the fal and sa 58 are excellent .308/7.62x51 guns, the normal 7.62x51 fmj have excellent armor penetration, the guns can mount acog etc. Very excellent weapons for north of red forest
Have to agree with @Fire2SSA ive used both the fal and the SA58 (osw) and they are awesome, the AP ammo does so much damage to monolith, it makes then much easier to deal with instead of putting a whole mag into one person haha
@@szowink Grenade launcher is good utility for cheaply (relatively speaking) dealing with exo/nosorogs, i would always pick something that has it available personally
I've seen some of the clips of streamers killing themselves with vaulting, but I'm like 20 hours into my current run and it hasn't happened to me once and I use it all the time. For fences, you just need to center on a post rather than the fence itself (some fence styles seem to require this, like the barbed wire at the railroad crossing in Cordon). I'd also recommend setting the keybind to a combination (I use shift/sprint + space/jump) to prevent yourself from vaulting when you don't want to. Gunsmithing tools and drug kits are like the inverse of the expert toolset: they're more common in the Southern maps than the North (except Truck Cemetery, they only have an 11% chance to spawn in stashes there for whatever reason). They're most found in Meadow (38% chance), Swamps (30%), Cordon (30%), and Rostok (29%). They're extremely rare in Zaton and Jupiter (7%). I think the scavenging skill might have something to do with it as well? I couldn't find any to save my life for about the first 10 hours, but once my scavenging skill started rising, I found so many I ran out of mechanics and doctors to give them to. I'm liking the trend of longer videos, BTW! Your videos always seem to go by so quickly even when they're over 30 minutes.
@25:52 it was at this moment Qloud took IRL psy damage lol. Also right after that I was half expecting you to wake up full of rads because you slept in a rad patch, thankfully the game doesn't track rads while sleeping or something! I found out yesterday much like with tools spawning more commonly the further north you go, the further south the stash the higher chance to find gunsmithing and drug kits (IDR if that's green or white stashes though)
for a guaranteed set of gunsmithing tools, you can complete the clear sky missions of clearing out the swamp (3 tasks), but you'll have to disguise as Merc or other allied faction.
A lamp artefact will help a lot with those RF Receiver packages (particularly in low light conditions). If you can get a good vantage point in late evening to early morning, your package will stand out from a long way away. I think it might also detect stashes.
If you right click on a stash, or anywhere on the map, you can set a waypoint so you can follow the red arrow on the minimap to it. It's easier than checking the pda every minute.
M4 Butcher is the best 5.56 gun... until you find the M4 Hera! Obviously it's very rare and obviously it requires Advanced kit. About ledge grabbing, just bind to it a different key/combination, example I bound it to SHIFT+SPACE, so it only kicks in when I want (on safe surfaces). About finding the gunsmith tools: the only thing we can say it's that they can be found in a green stash, but it all random. Honestly they are quite popular and I had many of them way before I got the Advanced tools. Keep up your amazing videos!
@@nicksailor1064 only in green stashes but i commented that already. They used to have a higher drop chance in white stashes too before 9.1 if i remember correctly.

Yo, have you seen the "New Levels" mod? Are you planning to use it with GAMMA? I think it would be a fun addition to the series, I'm using it with GAMMA myself and it does an amazing job, exploring the new maps is hella fun. Would like to see you trying it out
I agree. Standard M4 is quite a bit better than the Butcher. Not only for legit GWoT kino, but for the M203 you can stick under it. Ammo for it is plentiful and it kills pseudogiants in two shots. Oh, and burers can't stop them or deflect them back at you

Nice fight with those Mercs, they can be a real pain early game. You need 20 Red Vodka to get Basic Tools from the Yantar Trader, he doesn't even show the option till you have at least 20 on you. It pays to keep a set of tools on you as you can open a workbench anywhere with them, you can also make Advanced Tools with 5xBasic Tools so it pays to keep them till you have Advanced Tools.
Sup qloud loving the series! I'm farming in zaton on my loner getting all the best artifacts to 100% efficiency currently got my full empty maxed out and working on 2 volat emeralds then only need to craft two hearts of the oasis and 3 compasses! Still no luck on the unisg nosorg but soon I'll have the best armor and belt slots and all that is left is the coveted rd9x39 and maybe a better sniper than the mauser suppressed but idk lol. Just got a vector for mutants so im having a blast! Keep up the amazing work!
I think the duty exosuit is one of the better exosuits in the game, just because of the belt slots. That and you can exhange it to the UNISG one which is arguably best or second best exosuit, disregarding the norgod or whatever higher tier exosuits. What i'm saying is, i'm offended that this stash was "okay" . Kek.
When you're going to hit the lab, get some psy-blockade (red pills). Dizziness is hell, but they're so op you can forget about phantoms for the time it works.

The phantoms are obnoxious to the point they're not remotely fun. Can't figure the thought process of the guy who amped up their speed and made them deal psy damage.
Hello i dont know if it is a thing or if i was just extremly lucky but if you go to meadow into warehouses there is small room that gives psy damage and on table there i found gunsmithing tools yesterday its small room so it should be possible to take them without dying but i would take some psy resist just in case
Chances of getting Gunsmithing tools or Drug Making kit are extremely low in white stashes. And usual tools you can no longer get from white stashes, only from the green ones.
I don't wanna say it makes me feel better to see you not get gunsmithing tools but I've been looking for them too on my playthrough and I'm convinced they no longer exist.
hello , since 9.1 , tools only appeart in green stashes. Love the way the zone saves you trying to kill you when lurkers cross the eletro ! If they were able to jump at you all three in your back , you 'll be dead ! good reflex ! :) very fun video , and best way to have gunsmithing tools , desguise , go to cordon and do a lot of little task , and grab as many as possible green stashes (every 8 tasks that give stash coordonate) . You 'll get it very easily :)
I have found gunsmithing tools and drug making kits more common in the south of the map, also that sr2 veresk with the right ammo melts monolith. Another great video by the way.
Enjoying the series, wanted to let you know that the Burnt Fuzz anomalies (moss hanging from the ceiling/laying on the ground) are changed in gamma. You can walk through them freely but if you run or jump they'll do their normal huge amounts of damage.
