@@anthonysosa2311 Yes sir! It’s a gift to get sober. 179 days for me, and got nothing but my future ahead ahead. I wish I could have done this long ago, but that’s where the serenity prayer comes in, you need to accept the things you can’t change. But,even more important is having the courage to change the things you can!
I am over a month sober now and could not have done it without finding this channel that teaches you how to view alcohol differently. God Bless you Mr. Sober Leon for helping me turn my life around.
I was told that you can drink tomorrow but you can never drink today. My next drink is always just a day away. That really helped me early on by making the goal seem a little more attainable and claiming a small success every day.
I love number 5!!!!! I am doing it, hell yeah! I don't want to feel like I'm missing out when everyone else is drinking. Perspective......I'm winning! 751 days
2 months in after 30 plus years of on/off binge drinking amd recreational drugs..Drank most weekends and holidays etc..Only drunk twice this year...Knew I had a problem foe years finally doing it properly...
Sober almost 23 years now. Just a note to all you "newbies", and that is to take baby steps at first and don`t look to far down the road, just today and get ready for tomorrow. I went to AA but that is not for everyone since it basically strips you down mentally and rebuilds you to face life head on without drinking or drugs so you have to get a certain mindset that will work for YOU on living life day to day free of drinking and drugging. The good news is that it does get easier and better over time, just stick with it!
Also, in addition to that: Pump yourself up like you said and ask yourself, who else would have the balls to do that? And if we look in society ... almost "no one" is doing this. Everybody's on drugs nowadays ...
great video mate! I am 135 days Sober and have followed most of those tips! It's also very important to have a BIG WHY, a big reason why you want to quit! it helped me so much in the early days!
What’s up my guy! Savage tips! Just got on break. Someone tried to offer me some Bissell Brothers Substance just now and I turned them down! I’m so proud! Normally I’d grab it in a heartbeat! It’s great beer and far from me! So I’m just like wow I said no to free beer! Couple more hours of running beer then I can get home in a beer free environment lol Thank you for the vibes my guy and support!
I have heard other RU-vidrs say that stopping drinking ignites sugar cravings. The other people also said "Just relax about sugar for a month or two before you start to reduce sugar. "
Craving sweets rn. I'm just letting myself eat it. I try to cut refined sugar w fruit, or I'll try to go for healthier stuff, but right now it's about changing habits for me, and if my body is telling me it wants sugar, I'm just glad it's not booze. I will say though, sliced apples + honey + cinnamon feels like a real treat. So does jelly and cream cheese on toast.
AA has gotten me to 32 days, but a big thing is the desire to change. If you aren’t 💯 percent willing to change, it will be hard. Meetings for me are my stepping blocks.
Maybe I'm missing something, but I think you said you'd put a blog post in the description that gave more concrete steps as to how to actually set goals and make concrete plans? But I don't see it 😕
I knew it was because the alcohol had so much sugar. I'm on day 10 and have been eating donuts and danishes, been craving sugar but I don't want to gain weight so no it's not ok!😆😭
@@LeonSylvester hi Leon. The information I have is not for public consumption..eg I won't post it on RU-vid. If you would like to talk to me privately we can do that. I'll send you an email. Peace
Hate ur word MUST, in AA there are no rules, no u must or u have to its all u ought, after members before us used the 12 steps an they worked for millions. How are you different? Than other alcoholics. I'm sober years but really only today cause today is all I have, yesterday is history an I cannot change that, tomorrow is a mystery cause I don't know will I b alive but I have today so I live in today. Don't take the 1st drink for today an keep putting it off he by hr till day passes. Get to meetings to charge ur battery with people who are the same as u. Keep on step 1 for a year as do it for urself no one else. Make no Mager dessicions for a few years an pass no heed on this rubbish. It will b a few mths before if u know if ur coming or going but keep it a day at a time an get phone no's of others at meetings who u identify with.
