The Soo Greyhounds (and the city of Sault Ste. Marie) are hoping to host the 2024 Memorial Cup. Not only does the city offer four hotels within walking distance of the arena, it also boasts one of the best arenas in the league. Yes, it's modern, so there are none of the character-defining features of an old hockey arena that we love so much. But, sheesh, it's hard to argue against what they've done with this arena, in this city. And as you look around inside, just think of how this building will be viewed in the future. There are a lot of really nice touches already, in my opinion.
