I just like seeing good players play goofy games. It’s not ‘farming content’ as much as old school melee goof arounds. I think that’s what I like most about GG Melee vids like this- it’s the stuff you do when you are tired of competing and just want to hang out with friends. I suppose that sounds parasocial but I feel like it’s a surrogate for what is lost when there are far fewer casual melee hangouts.

The wacky Melee videos are some of my favorites. I always think that some of the more silly games should be explored and played more! Coming from a competitive Pokemon background with lots of different tiers and game modes, I always enjoyed playing the less serious ones more than the typical tiering ladder gameplay. Love to see things like this get a little more exploration!

What I wanna know is, if every character and every giant character was allowed, which characters - if any - would be able to join the top tiers as a viable character. Aside form Peach, of course, who would have to be banned.

I would love some doubles content. Maybe someone commentating lightly so the players don’t have to worry about being entertaining and can do some really fun doubles stuff. That or some item stuff I love to see the gg team against each other
