in all of my years of watching GH, I have never seen a funeral done like this. What a beautiful way to honor Bobbie and her portrayer J. Zeman. You could feel the love and the real tears through the screen. From the moment they carried her coffin into the church, you could feel this was not just a scene. These actors were saying a true farewell.
All my children funerals use to be like this.. with the exiting of the casket. When Erica mother died, they went from the wake, to the funeral and to the graveyard where Erica threw herself on the casket while they had to drag her away. It was one hell of an emotional week and of course the actress had also passed away in real life
It's nice to see all of Port Charles turned out for Bobbie Spencer. As a long term cast member at GH, she deserves this beautiful tribute and honor. R.I.P. Bobbie Spencer and Jackie Zeman.
She saw the good but she wasn't nobody's fool. Bobbie was the first face for the Spencer's. She was the anchor. Yes the early years Laura and Bobbie were adversaries as each had an emotional investment in Scottie. I didn't know then, but there was over 10 years between the two actresses, perhaps about five onscreen. Jackie earned the stripes for Bobbie one year at a time. Often caught in crosshairs for familial drama, she always came out of the struggles with aplomb. She probably suffered more losses on screen than any other character. But she endured them all. She was never ashamed of where she came from nor the road it took for her to achieve her grip. When Carly arrived I was stumped. WTF is this girl acting like her life was worse than Bobbie's. Carly's backstory didn't have the writing to make her sympathetic or palpable. But out of Bobbie's acceptance, I grew to tolerate her sire. But like much of the modern writing today, the contemporaries don't respect the rich tradition/history when they decide to graph backstories. They expect them to be easily digested but they rarely are. Bobbie lived and loved well through the years. Knowing that this is not just the honor for her but also Jackie cuts twice. Both finally receiving the memorial they each deserved.
@soniamet2074 Leslie/Monica has been such a huge part of the show, and a core Quartermaine when she does leave or passes it will leave a huge hole. I wonder who she will leave the Mansion to? 😆 Tracy will throw a fit. Im glad the show still has Anna, Felicia, Robert, Laura, Scotty, Lucy, and Tracy. Characters that have a deep history in the show. I remember coming home from elementary school to my mom watching GH. That's how got got invested, waiting for GH to end so I could watch Scooby-Doo.😆
@@ericao6326 Erica the Quartermaine's are such an ingrained part of GH that it is hard to watch the show and not see Monica as a continued cast member every once in a while. I wish Leslie/Monica well and hope that her health is on the mend.

For some reason I was surprised to see Spencer among the guys to carry Bobbie's coffin. I thought that Dante would be one of them. I'm glad he was "asked" or volunteered to help out. It was great seeing Spencer and Trina be there for they're friend in her time of need. Hopefully they will show them more tomorrow, I think I read that Spencer is supposed to get a visitor which I think it might be Nicholas. It was also very nice to see Spencer being there for Laura and knowing how much Luke and Bobbie meant to her , and them being extended family. Too bad we can't say the same for Nicholas; he's too caught up in his own revenge against Esme to make a surprise appearance for his mom. I guess Laura will tell Spencer about Esme being arrested for breakening and entering after funeral at home.
Nikolas's relationship with Luke was always icy. Although Bobbie was married to Stefan once upon a time, so she was his aunt through marriage, but the writers' probably forgot that part.
Even though his character was killed off, I hope he attended Jackie Zeman's real funeral since they were two of the main and longest portrayed characters on GH, and they played brother and sister.
Robin, Patrick and Dr Noah Drake ALL should've came back for Bobbie's service..would've been great to see. Loved BJ there also. Now she is with Tony and BJ!!! Bobbie was amazing..hands down!!!💕💜💕💜💪🤜🤛😅she was everyone's advocate for whatever the problem and so strong and fought for you!! She will be so missed on GH and in life! What a beautiful woman on and off screen and what a talent to grace daytime TV!! There was no scene, no part that she could not act out. She was fiercely loving to her hero and brother Luke and all her family!! A gifted nurse to all she come across in the hospital. Love her in Kelly's also and now she passed it to Carly!! RIP Jackie..you were loved by so many for so long...45 yr soap fan here. You were one of the GOATs!!!❤❤💯💯💕🥇
Thank you RU-vid because of your platform I’m able to watch GH 80s & 90s. I have to agree with all of you regarding Bobble’s memorial service not only was it a beautiful and moving tribute but it was also a jaw breaker to have angel BJ there. I was a bit disappointed because Monica should have been there and for whatever reason she wasn’t. Ned and Lois too. *RIP…Jacklyn Zeman bka…. Barbara Jean Spencer Jones* Dearest Jackie please give a big hug to our beloved GH characters from Dr. Tom Hardy to the beautiful Lila Quartermaine. It's a funeral and Maxie comes dressed like THAT?! Maxie looks like she came dressed in a sweatsuit! She should've worn a dress or a nice pantsuit. I know Maxie has gained weight over the years but that doesn't mean she shouldn't dress stylish anymore. P.S. I've heard Kirsten Storm's weight gain is a side effect of a prescription drug she's been taking.
