There is a slow divide in the NPP party between Ashanti Regional core and the Eastern Regional core, which will eventually cause a split in the party. I think both sides are fighting for the control of the party and have not really established a succession pattern/plan for party leadership. I don’t think leadership is based on meritocracy but rather partisan support for who one side thinks should become the leader. Eastern Regional leadership wants to stay in control of the party and this is the reason why they forcibly made Mahamoud Bawumia their candidate whilst the Ashanti Region thinks it was their turn and Allan Kyeremateng should have been elected presidential candidate. Ashanti Region, sad to say, usually support a candidate with an Akan sounding name and to them it may or may not matter that Bawumia is the NPP candidate and will mostly vote Kyeremateng. I may be wrong on this but let wait and see. The Eastern side want Bawumia to win so they can continue as if Nana Addo never left office and possibly hide financial crimes committed under the current government. Anas for some funny reason had not been able to do an exposè on this government because of fears NDC will get some votes not because of their message or what they’ll come and do but because Ghanaians felt they’ve been lied to aby the many promises of Nana Addo. Nana mysteriously avoided blame and all vitriol was directed towards Bawumia as if he was the president. All the machinations at radio and TV stations to blame Bawumia for the shortcomings of this government is well known by all discerning Ghanaians. Will the NDC make a huge difference when they come to power, not necessarily. It’ll just be their time to rob the country dry as the NPP are currently doing. Yes I say rob, by both parties. How do these politicians suddenly get rich by being MPs, DCEs, MCEs etc? We need to force these people to use our resources to build the country and not enrich themselves
Your NPP are scammers, schemers, cartels and syndicates. Most corrupt administration ever. A failed government. Borrowed so much but nothing much to show off or boast about. Government has no score card to campaign on . No accomplishments in the infrastructure needs of the country. Messed up the economy with interest rates higher, exchange rate sky rocketing, high tariff and taxes. Everything manyaa. Corruption scandals all over the place. Bawumia is running away from the economy. Now looting brigade, taking Everything. U have lost the credibility and integrity and the good will of the people. Deal with the cracks in your party.
