20 000 officers? Propably 45000 only in Katyń (USRR) But in others german „kamps” like a Brzezinka, Oświęcim (Auschwitz), Treblinka, Majdanek, Sztutowo (Stuthof) and rest place propably that was a circa 6-8 million. Not thousand. 6 million registered people and propably 2 million not registered death. Only in Second War War 1939-1945. But in WW 1 ( First War War)? 1920? 1410? 1620? Thousend years of our history is a fight for freedom. Freedom of World, not just country. Was many many exaples. And we not born in 966. We lived there before. Peace and love!
No, about 5-6 millions died. The rest are deported or left out of the borders when the borders were changed in Jalta. Poland in 1939 had about 30 percent minorities, but after the war it had only just 5 percent. Jews were mostly murdered, Ukrainians, Belarussians and Lithuanians - stayed in the eastern lands annexed by USSR (or were expelled from Poland - Akcja Wisła etc), Germans were killed by Soviets or forced to flee west. Also, some Poles stayed in the West after the War (most of the Anders Army etc).
To add insult to damage Soviets was stating that Katyń massacre was made by Germans and accused Polish govt of collaboration with Germans because they found mass graves. Until fall USSR was keeping that lie.
Dear author, Everything you showed here is true. I'm from Poland. My grandfather was deported to Germany during the war, my grandmother hid Jews in a basement - she was facing the death penalty. My friends' grandparents were deported deep into Russia. The Germans had an agreement with the Russians, they attacked our country from two sides. We defended ourselves. We helped in the Battle of Britain - read about Squadron 303. We fought at Monte Cassino. Read about the Battle of Wizna. Then there were international conferences in Techeran, Potsdam and Yalta ... our country was sold there. That is why our women are so strong, Polish women give birth to real warriors. That's why we're so proud of our history, that's why we never give up. If you read about our earlier history, you will learn that Poland has not been on the maps for 123 years. Germany, Austria and Russia wanted to destroy us, but our spirit persisted and rebuilt the country. We regained independence. Let the people of Africa know what European countries want to forget. We, Poles, always fight for freedom! Always to the last drop of blood!

Thank you very much for these warm words addressed to our Nation. Unfortunately, the film on which you and other "discoverers" of Poland's values based your film is very general and, in fact, very poor for me - a Pole. It does not even approximate how much Poles contributed to the defense of world civilization. None of you know that for 150 years, 150 YEARS!!! Polish troops smashed into dust the armies of the most dangerous opponents! Not only that - they were able to destroy the most modern armies of the old world 20 times their size! There is much more such valuable information and it pains me that so few in the world know about it. For example - Enigma was deciphered by Polish mathematicians (the British simply rob the Poles of this success!), Poles fought on all fronts of World War II. Polish airmen became famous for defending London, and yet Poles were not invited to the Great Victory Parade in London after the war ended - it's disgusting!

Did you know that in Warsaw Uprising in 1944 was fighting for Poland some very special soldier from Nigeria? He was black Polish African freedom fighter and we love him and he was our brother ❣️ His name was August Agbola O'Browne. Please check it on wiki. My greatgrandfather was among this 20k officers murdered during Katyń Massacre, and his wife and children were deported to northern Kazakhstan which was a soviet republic at the time.

The Palace of Culture and Science in Warsaw is indeed a "gift" of the Soviet Union - many Poles want to "return" this unwanted gift - we will see what the future holds. 3. I wish your country that it will always solve its internal problems peacefully. However, an external threat must always be dealt with firmly and forcefully. Just before Germany started its aggression against Poland, our Minister of Foreign Affairs said: "We Poles do not know peace at any price. This price is honor."
The nazis called us black devils, so we tried to make them feel like they were in hell. These are the words of my grandmother who survived the bombing of Warsaw, the German occupation and two death camps. Eternal glory to heroes !!!
