Ive been playing "Guru" since i joined the MtG community when commander went "official" back in 2011. Ive slowly optimized my deck over the years but i still love the resiliency and multiple strategic lines. I try to win with board state - but if i collect enough permanents then its a wrap for the table via infinite loop-win.
Awesome, glad you liked it. Ghave is nasty, you will not be disappointed. The pattern of rebirth/boonweaver giant combo is so easy to get off once you have a free sac outlet and Pattern of Rebirth.
So this is off topic to Ghave itself, but on topic for complicated and perhaps very niche concepts. I've wanted to build a Superfriends deck out of Sydri, Galvanic Genius. She can turn artifacts into creatures, right? So what if you turned Planeswalkers into artifacts, and then through Sydri, turned them into creatures? Cards like Rings of Brighthearth could double trigger Loyalty abilities, and you could also equip the Planeswalkers with certain things as well. I'd be interested to see if you could deck tech that concept, unless it's too niche to build around.
U: Target noncreature artifact becomes an artifact creature with power and toughness each equal to its converted mana cost until end of turn. WB: Target artifact creature gains deathtouch and lifelink until end of turn. Sydri is interesting, Esper artifacts seems like a cool build araound.
