Exactly. I work for a third party company that does shelf resets in retails stores and an employee told me that the worst people to dumpster dive in their dumpsters were the ones that were well off. Nice home, nice car, good paying jobs, and yet they still dumpster dove.
There’s no such thing as criminals in this city is just slaves at this point.. if you’d take a step back and realize that no migrant would get prosecuted like this but citizens will, you’ll think differently..
@@nychris2258definitely the dominicans, half the heights/dyckman rolling around in amgs to lambos w paper tags lmao, youd thing w all the bread running through there theyd atleast get insurance & register it then again a lot of them dont be having ls
It about time. Hey look I know the city is all a cash grab but these fake plates should get ticketed etc. Cause people with nice cars trust me you don’t wanna get hit by these guys cause your have no recourse and end coming out of your own pocket even if it’s no your fault
Getting those idiots is a fair cash grab , I have to pay insurance, registration, and yearly inspections and these idiots act like they own the road while paying none of those things.
License plates shouldn't exist, period. Abolish the DMV. Why should you have to pay to put a tracking number on the car that you paid for only to use it on the roads that you paid for?
The thing about it is it's cyclical. Insurance gets more expensive because of the uninsured. More people drop insurance. Insurance rises. @@mikemet1744
@@cameronwilliams522texas still uses them because they arent full of democrats. Police in newengland are the biggest cry babies they talk about how the police cruisers are trash like its their car.
Notice how more than half are luxury cars. Those are the same drivers complaining in the comments that congestion pricing will hurt poor and disabled people.
@@RocketGruntJesus not a fan of the congestion pricing but if you're poor and living in NYC spending money on a car, insurance, registration, fuel, maintenance and repairs isn't a wise decision.
@@CrazyTackydealing with unreliable public transportation isn’t the best move either it’s unsanitary unsafe and unreliable so imagine at night if you work late having to wait 20-30 minutes for a train only to find out it’s running in sections on a different line and won’t be going to your stop and you’ll have to take another train and wait another 10-25 minutes on that train to continue a journey that by car would’ve been 20-30 minutes imagine having to see people brandishing knives people who shit themselves used needles and people shooting up drugs all while just trying to get home people who drive aren’t doing so for style most of the times they’re doing so because public transportation is a nightmare the putrid smell on those trains rotting flesh it’s unbearable and with warmer weather it’ll be far worse I’ve been on trains where almost every car had 2-6 homeless people spread out so don’t judge drivers judge this failed city trying to limit out access to personal transportation all so the could force us onto the failing public transportation system
Something is definitely up for the past 2 weeks. Seems like police are cracking down on crime...finally. I'm seeing a lot of action. I have a feeling that gov Hochul ordering national guard to the subway was an embarrassment to the NYPD. and the mayor..which may have been the intended purpose. Also we are in election season and the order may have come down from the top to Democrat mayors to clean up the cities a bit to make the big guy look better.
My son just got his license (at 17) and my rates more than tripled! No particular reason, moderately good student, no interactions with the law, no tickets and no accidents for either of us. Insurance really feels like a scam!
@@Stephanie-we5ep in 93 when i started driving my mom was paying over 5k a year for insurance and we were sharing a car! it was ridiculous. I would never let insurance company know when my kid starts driving
@@Stephanie-we5ep Inurance trippled in NYC because of the crime etc. NYPD is trying to straighten the mess out so premiums can be lowered but it will take 3 solid years of these enforcements or nothing will change according to Inurance companies and law enforcement agencies.
@@Iamtheman4000I’ve lived here my whole life. It’s not collapsing. There’s ALWAYS ways around the bullshit. Every state has their pros and cons. If you can’t find a way of life that you WANT in NY, there’s no hope in any state.
NYC probably pays more federal taxes than most states. In NYC, people work around the clock. You’ll see people leaving their apartments or homes at 2:00 or 3:00 AM. The farmers aren’t even up at that time. 🤣😂🤣😂
I have watched so many ghost car chase videos on RU-vid the past few years that seeing a ghost car crackdown is like switching over from Crook Mode to Cop Mode on RU-vid.
@@whitetrashmillionare4858 only poor people lease their cars. They're so worried about depreciation. If you have to worry about losing a few grand here and there then you shouldn't even be near a new car lol leasing or not. Their ass is so tight it squeaks when they walk.
A lot vehicles will be up for auction soon. Living in New England there seems to be more and more vehicles with New York and New Jersey plates on them. But again we have plate readers on quite a few state and local police cars so beware. Better yet stay home we don’t need uninsured drivers here.
Not true. The PERSON has diplomatic immunity but the CAR does not. So in the past when the UN dirt bags started racking up tickets the Mayor (Guiliani if my memory serves me) would just keep towing the car as soon as it was parked. Shockingly over time the tickets got paid and the towing stopped Would that work with Sundown Joe in the White House? Dunno. But it did go on for a while when it was done.
My car was impound on April 18th for driving 46km/h over the speed limit, in a 50km/h speed limit zone. Basically 96km/h. Right now I have no car for 14 days, my License was suspended on the roadside for 30 days. I won't have my License back till May 22nd. This is a life long lesson I learned the hard way, I'm done with driving fast and breaking the Laws.
That's nothing, my license was suspended for 12 months for going 110mph in a 70 zone in NC. I was given drunk level punishment despite no prior tickets. Now I have Waze+RD but I don't go over 95 anymore.
Sounds like you get passed a lot for camping in the passing lane. Simple solution, move over to traffic faster than you. The number one lane is for cars actively passing not camping. This has been a public service announcement.
@@awdobsession717 the right lane is for slow traffic I'm merging onto the freeway and these no plate idiots are going 90 in the slow lane. I don't need to speed up for them , these dumb dumbs don't even have insurance and shouldn't be on the road in the first place.
If they set up a task force in Texas to do this, not only would it help with the crime, but you'd also end unemployment for the next 100 years. The size of the task force that would be needed, insane. Legit there are more ghost cars with paper tags on the road, than there are legit steel plated cars in Texas. It's so bizarre.
They do, but you'll never see any footage of it on Faux News or any other right-wing propaganda fake news outlet. FYI, Blame Trump and the GOP for border problems. FACT, they're the ones that have blocked every piece of legislation to secure the borders.
Drove by two of these now in the past 2 months. One on the west side highway and the other just before the RFK bridge. The first time around I saw like 20 cars pulled over and they all had pitch black tints.
They are committing a crime. When these ghosts vehicles hit you do you think their insurance is going to pay for it. There’s a reason why you must have insurance to register your vehicle. It’s about time nyc got these scammers off the streets.
They should go after the manufacturers who make the license plate covers preventing you from seeing the license plates. There is only one reason they have it and that’s avoiding tolls and robberies
It’s about Time! These cars are all over NY City and State . The land of Lawlessness where the government cares more about those who give nothing back to society than the law abiding citizens who foot all the bills!
I saw this while i was passing through. Why would you take the tunnel that has cameras taking pictures of your plates if you are already doing something illegal.
I’m Canadian and I traveled to Vegas couple years ago. I have seen more cars without plates in one week in Vegas than I have seen in Canada in last 10 years. People running red lights in Vegas as well.
It's so fucking funny that drivers that are uninsured or have a suspended license always "didn't know about the issue." I've been driving cars for 50 years now and I exactly knew when my insurance lapsed, so I made sure I was insured. Biggest anti-social move you can do is driving around uninsured and I'm still baffled that people do it on a daily basis without a worry in the world.
To their credit I've heard some of these cars are stolen re-Vined vehicles that basically can't be registered or they'd get arrested. They pay a fraction for these cars since they are poor but wanna have the 340i or the boat hellcat.
Actually need more of this or why bother having EZpass? How about vehicles required to have two tags, only have one in rear, and it’s covered by a very dark plastic cover. Only one reason, TOLL SKIPPING. It’s a roadway version of turnstile jumping.
I would say CA has about 10% of all cars on the road not legally registered , another 10% of drivers without a license and about 40% without insurance... NOTHING IS DONE.
I Love it..there’s no where to park w abandoned cars, citi bikes, fire zones, car share vehicles…we need proper cars parked on the limited spots we have
Great ! Now look into NYPD officers obstructing/not having any plates at all to scheme the system. They don't even follow the rules they uphold. "Rules for thee not for me"
Fits Trump's sycophants to a tee, for instance, the NY upstate Maga DA who got caught going 55 in a 35 and ran from the cops, or Trump's sycophants in Congress that got the Border Bill THEY WANTED, THEY GOT, AND REFUSED TO PASS IT BECAUSE TRUMP SAID NOT TOO!!!!
I wish they would do this where I'm from... I'm sick of having a close call everyday because somebody in an illegal car doesn't like traffic lights/signs
They need to do this in Philly. I know the PPA are equipped with readers on both sides of the their cars just have to drive up and down the streets and I'm sure they will find lots of them just sitting around.
I have mixed feelings about this. On one hand I am all for the ghost plates because of how this city has been screwing over the average person by using the mta as a weapon. On the other hand these plates enable criminals to commit crimes of horrible nature. Honestly as much as I do not like it I think it is for the best. For the first in 3 years my insurance did not go up at all. For the past 3 my insurance was going up without no tickets nor accidents and am 100% legit. Honestly...the criminals and the cops can get rekt.
Insurance going up, gas going up, groceries going up, and Corporate profits sky rocketing with big Oil DOUBLING their profits over the past 3 years!!! We're not suffering from inflation, we're suffering from GREEDFLATION!!
Good. They need to do that here in London. I see too many vehicles driving around with no front plates, or no plates at all or illegal plates and tints. What are they hiding...might just as well drive around with a neon sign saying in a crook. Which they could do cos no one gives a shit anymore.
I was behind a couple every morning heading to work they had blacked out windows and a blacked out tag and were police officers who drove into Charlotte if you got close enough you could see a police officer tag
I really don't understand, how you're driving a huge Mercedes-Benz SUV with a V8 motor, and you can't afford tolls, or anything else related, get a MOPED!
