I’m the same , first heard them in 2016 thought , yeah not bad , never really listened to them until I heard spillways , what a song , been hooked for the last 5 months , absolutely love them
The fact that this is supposed to look like a bootleg only makes it cooler. It’s not just about the music, but the delivery. This makes me nostalgic for a time I wasn’t alive for. As a Millennial (born 1995), I don’t know a World without internet. I wish I did. This takes me back to a simpler time, even if for just a moment #IfYouHaveGhostYouHaveEverything
@@StLProgressive Late 80's, early 90's here, and I feel exactly the same. Ghost hits all the right nostalgia buttons, along with being the first thing that actually feels new that's also good since sometime around 2005!
This is what drew me in to Ghost. The first time I saw the video for Secular Haze, it looked like it was recorded at a tv show appearance from the late 60s or early 70s
@@StLProgressive Same, teen in the 80's. This is among the closest there's been to that era of big-metal-show stuff. They have a knack for meshing a pop sound with metal and even hints of prog in a cool way, and they're able to make their visual unique to them. Wish they'd tour the US more than they do. And I love looking at the audience in the live footage to see what the demographics are like; it's hard to figure out, lol. Cheers.
I am in Love!!! THIS band is fucking amazing. TOBIAS FORGES' voice stage presence snd sexiness along with a Great metal band. These guys are true musicians. Best band since AEROSMITH came out!!!! Keep it up!!! I'm 62 a HUGE fan of the 70s music and these guys NAILED IT!!
So this was recommended on the page. At first i thought they were screamo but i listened once. Two years later, my daughter and i have seen them twice in Atlanta and houston, we both have grucifixes on that people think are stars or crosses, I've heard both, and i can't wait till next labor day to go again. Talk about who are you to travel hundreds of miles for rituals.
I love this song. In the back of my head, I knew there was something familiar about it. Now, I'm not saying it the same at all... But it definitely has the same vibe as KISS's - I WAS MADE FOR LOVIN' YOU. Totally has a disco beat driving the song. And even Tobias has said that KISS is an influence.
It hit me yesterday, that TF is even willing to be influenced by stuff he already did. The repeated guitar riff in "Hunter's Moon" is almost a note for note repeat of the beginning of the strat solo here. Even at the same tempo.
Starting a solo with the same note as the beginning of the main melody (in this case, D) is pretty common. Don't know of this is a case of self-influence imo, it just sort of makes sense from a music theory standpoint.
I know one of them is Sunshine. I think one of the Ghoulletes even got the Mummy Dust Keytar solo when I saw them live. I could be wrong, nethertheless they're AWESOME! And killed Kaisarions back vocals live
I wish also they kept a simular look for the ghouls. I agree I do really like Tobius new mask and look looks great But we miss the devil ghouls look. Then I realized something. It is the devil ghouls . It's just they are wearing gas masks. When I saw a closer performance the horns are sticking out on the mask. It's clever. They are simply wearing gas masks. To go with the theatrical theme. Now I appreciate the designs better
I realized the ghouls devil persona are under the gas masks. I noticed the horns protruding . As if they are underneath that mask. Now I appreciate the new design more so.
@@christopherschott441 I believe all of the ghouls have the horns (seen them on the drummer) not sure if they’re are under. The masks just remind me more of “sci-fi”. Haven’t checked the lyrics to the album completely yet, it may be a theme within this album. Love what I’ve heard so far just didn’t care for the masks as much as the silver ones, they were iconic.
@@mattschwing7534 Hi Matt. Yes. Your right. I felt the same way. Eliora masks were the best design. I didn't mean to say that the masks have the devil design literally inside. But just that the horns made me think. That's cool. The ghouls are wearing this type of gas mask. The first time I saw the new masks I thought they were boring compared to the silver devil masks. But after seeing the horns on the masks 😷 I thought thats clever. It's still the same ghouls we know and love. Hehe I'm rambling a bit here I used to make prothetic make up and masks , foam rubber , latex , and other materials. I was thinking of their conceptual design. Wearing the steam punk type gas masks.
@@christopherschott441 totally agree, and since it’s inception the band has constantly evolved (keeping us on our toes). I got to see them in 2019 and was blown away not only by the masks but also the outfits they all wore and I guess the video of the new look caught me off guard. Tobias Forge is a person I’d love to just sit down with and pick his brain on concepts.
It looks like some ghouls got some new basses and guitars...i also like the subtle differences in each version of papas singing,im just still a bit weirded out about the new ghouls..is it me or does that look like martin Persner on guitar again? Thats not tge same white ghoul from last album,he was little tiny thing this dudes got some meat on him
@@b1galbos89 i have been heckening listening since 2010 and been big big fan even had ghost as nr 1 on spotify for a few years sum-up. This album is shite and it hurts.
