Very similar to the manga artstyle. It's cool to see it animated.

Its really a treat to see Masamune's art style translated into a GITS animation. Not to complain about what we got, but I think Id have taken this over stand alone complex.

I wish games still did this. Where they had 2D animation separate from the game instead of trying to make cutscenes with game graphics.

Here’s the funny yet scary thing: I live and work in Japan for the past 10 years, and RU-vid never once recommended any Ghost In The Shell content to me. Now I’m on a long overdue vacation to visit family, and in my old room I found an old Art Book my Masamune Shirow (creator of GITS). I fire up RU-vid and guess what video was recommended to me? 😂 Scary stuff. But I miss the OG stand alone complex series

I would pretty much prefer the art style of Toshihiro than the ones we got in SAL and the subsequent adaptations. Something about his style feels so good to watch, just like he did with Cowboy Bebop and Golden Boy.

Damn, i love the older style of animation look and feel. With how gorgeous she looks in that thumbnail, my tastes are justified even more.

They copied the manga art so well for this, Motoko has more of a cute vibe to her than the knockout vibe she has in the anime but both are very fitting to her character I must say.

They really should've made this into a show. These are the original Manga designs from Shirow Masamune as he overlooked the designs for this game. They're also paired with the manga version of the character personalities. I don't think they'll ever do it at this point, but I'd still watch 10/10. I've never been disappointed in any iteration of the Major, well except maybe the Scarjo live action version lol ✨

I see this then I look at PS2 Ghost in the Shell. It was good. But this just hits that retro feel that the PS2 one couldn’t hit.

Rented for just a week I had plaied this game as a child. I must of been around 8 and I only remember a bit of the starting level and the nuclear reactor. I have no recolection of these scenes. Very cool.

I hope this is the style they use for the newest anime.

All I had was the demo and it still stuck with me.

daaaamn EN voice acting really hasn't improved much since this came out hahaha Motoko sounds too "peppy" like she's just lipsyncing with another genki girl who's not in the scene XD

I love this because it tried so hard to replicate the look of the manga. I could never get into the mid-1990s GitS anime that everyone gushed over. It looked and felt nothing at all like the manga.

Watching this, I think one can really understand why Toshihro gets confused with Masanori. His artistic take on this IP stands as equal IMO.

В саму игру я не стал играть, мне не понравилась. Но вот эти аниме эпизоды были настоящим сокровищем. Я их даже скопировал с диска чтоб посмотреть. Ну а теперь я могу посмотреть их с переводом в Ютубе.

watched the orignal 1996 Ghost in a Shell while tripping, extremely disappointed it was no Paprika thats for sure.

this version of makoto is better for me. the movie version of makoto is too much. too deep and dark.
