naw I have PS4 version and PS5 version both on my PS5 right now, and the PS5 version is better looking in every way I promise. I think this dude just has vibrant colors turned on in the PS4 version or something.
okay I figured it out, PS4, version has bright colors all the time. PS5 version only has bright colors WHEN THE LIGHTING IS BRIGHT. The lighting is much more realistic in PS5 version, so when the sun is out it's extremely bright and the colors are enhanced. When the sun is down or it's cloudy or late in the afternoon, then the colors get grayer, because the lighting is dimmer
Having played on this on both the PS4 and PS5. Get the PS5 version it is a truly breathtaking experience. You can't see it from these comparisons but once you are running around the game at a solid 60fps you'll notice the difference and it is a huge difference.
@@DedCesar Well I initially played it on the PS4 Pro and I'm pretty sure it was running at 30fps. And even if there is a 60fps mode there's no way it's running at 60fps 1440p like it does on the PS5. Id find it hard to play anything on a PS4 Pro these days unfortunately. Even the PS5 is struggling with more recent games.
I just got a ps5 & everybody recommended this game. It's free with game plus extra do I was going to try it. I don't know anything about it at all. What game is it most similar to?
@Mohsin Maliq it’s a fact 😂 I legit not pulling it out my ass . Digital foundry covered this plus I had the game on the pro before the ps5 and downloaded it to the ps5 version and it’s at 60
@@nacheitor96how are you calling somebody poor you're wasting your time reply to a comment because you don't like you cannot be talkingshit last time I check your parents is the one buying stuff for you not you so who's the poor one now
@@ClouDmaloftHi feel like this vid does not do the ps5 version justice, i mean the video cant even render the hdr on ps5 properly, and the creator of this vid didnt even turn on the dramatic graphics which makes it 10× more beautiful
PS5 has superior lighting/shading, and higher frame rate. It’s a PS4 game being adapted to better hardware so you won’t get the full next-gen treatment. Now the next GoT game will be built for PS5 and I can’t wait to see that!
@@MissFortnitedid you play the game on ps5? I did and i played it on ps4 too, i have to say, both of them with max graphics, ps5 absolutely clears, more realistic lighting, more vibrant at times, darker at times, i took several pics that wouldnt even look half good on the ps4
They could probably do it on ps5 or make it similar. But they wouldn’t put much work to change a game graphics significantly after they already released.
@@richardlebouthillier3770 there is very little indication that is the case, PC ports of many recent titles are graphically very similar or practically identical to their console counterparts even down to having raytracing The biggest advantage PCs have is higher frame rates and better resolutions, perhaps better upscaling too? Dunno about what upscaling technologies consoles use, maybe some form of FSR
A year ago i was looking for a job and my life was a mess, one of the things keeping me sane was being able to play GOT on my old ass ps4 at night, a year later here i am playing GOT on a ps5 and a great tv screen, this video just made me have this deep tought on how i managed to fight for a job and became a successful drug dealer in the matter of a year, wow..
The grass on this game is unbelievable. Best looking landscape graphics ive ever seen. I think other ps5 games may have better face textures but the environment in ghost is beautiful
Perhaps it is time for another major console to enter the market? I pitched the idea to microsoft via feedback submission, so it probably got deleted along with the rest. The premise, was a more technical relization of McCracken's comment about the xbox one x being the last generation of xbox as we currently know it. Instead of following the current trend of rolling out with a new console every 5-10 years and mid-cycle refresh, that cost enormous amounts of money in production cost and other hurdles that come with console lifecycle system architecture. A collation of P.C.'s modularity, with xbox software is the future of console gaming. Selling starter units that use proprietary connections for the modular componets, allowing users to upgrade, and modify their consoles to fit their gaming play styles, and use cases. The price of the modular componets could be overall offset by a varity of different marketing strategies. The overall goal to raise the console ownership retention number that drops significantly between console model lifecycles. Successful implementation of this idea in the hands of Microsoft would not only ensure a definitive win for microsft in the next saga of the "console wars" but be a heavy blow to sony and the ps5 by slowly eroding their position within the console market, by sheer user retention. Sony would have few options for a strategic recourse, and most that I can forsee would only succeed in delaying the playstations failure. If anyone would like to use this idea, since Microsoft never reached out to me, feel free to take their place. A crowd funded console, that promises to change the status quo in the console industry will have an amainzing results. Nintendo is underpowered and very controlling with their hardware and IP, PS5 is expensive, xbox series x is expensive and both lag behind in hardware when compared to PC. P.C.'s can be expensive and require year to year component upgrades to be able to play the newest AAA gpu & CPU hungry games at 60+fps at 4k with the bells and whistles. . This project will be a considerable journey, as this would be a ground floor startup, so please understand this may take 5-10 years + to bring to market, but if successful there is profit involved. Establishing and running a company well is not for the meek or faint of heart, nor will it be without its costs. If you would like talk business about this idea, please feel free to reach out.
I'm a few hours into my third playthrough on PC (first on Ps4/Ps4 Pro, second on Ps5) and I have to say the PC version is amazing. With that said I personally think playing Ghost on the Ps4 Pro vs the Ps4 showed the largest graphical improvements between the different versions. So if money is tight I recommend the playing it on the Pro. Also if you can afford a monitor or TV with HDR support it really enhances your experience.
the thing that blew me away most was the loading times, loading times were already incredibly short on ps4 but on ps5 they’re basically non existent, you fast travel or exit to main menu or to legends mode and it’s instant no loading inbetween
This just shows how shadow and contrast play into a scene looking good, if you start keeping everything closer to real life, it'll turn out to be boring.
I said it once and I’ll say it again. This game is another example of a remaster being unnecessary, as the graphics of the original release are still breathtaking even after 5 years👍
It’s not, it’s the videos not rendering the hdr properly in this. Ps4 makes everything better in this game, if it’s just a suddle thing here and there and then in big ways in others, either way if you can pick ps5 is there best version hands down. I played both
I have PS4 version and PS5 version side by side on my PS5. The PS5 version looks waaaayyyyy better. The thing with PS4 version is the colors look bright and full all the time. In PS5 version the lighting is way more realistic, which means that when the sun is bright and shining then the colors are really bright and full, but when it gets cloudy or when it gets dark in the afternoon then the colors all get more gray. That's what colors do in real life.
@@tylerhall9412yeah I'm thinking the uploader has the contrast mode on for the ps4 version and not the 5 in order to mislead people. Or just as likely, as you said, they don't have the right tech to capture it accurately on the ps5. Seems to be the way things go with HDR. I'm playing it on 5/OLED/dynamic contrast; colours and darkness are D E E P. Glad they have it as an option; while I liked the sort of washed out cell shaded 'normal' look of the game, the deeper contrast really makes everything come to life, looks like a film.
Ps5 did not change the graphics at all. The only change they made was the frame rate, and the cutscenes are now real time instead of a prerecorded video to hide loading times. Thats all they did.
Bumping the framerate up to 60 is a big change though. It already looked great anyways just didn't run too great on the PS4 but it runs like an absolute dream on the PS5.
@@bens3767 if you are referring to me, ive had a ps5 since launch and i wasnt saying anything negative about the game. The information is readily available, look it up. Idk why you people are getting so upset about reality.
I been playing the PS5 recently to finish the game, and it looks amazing on my Big Screen in HDR. RU-vid is not a good representation of videos when trying to show of great quality. But it does show here the PS4 version is colorful.
So I got to pay full price for the ps5 version ? Even though I have the ps4 digital deluxe version? or is like The last of us 2 remastered and just pay 10 bucks?
People drink too much Sony coolaid, because it hardly any differences between the PS4 version vs the PS5 ver,at all, reason why, because it was a PS4 native game anyway, something that PS5 will never have, PS5 will never have it native games,Sony treated PS5 like a Playstation 4 Pro,it can't never have anything
looks like you have hdr on for the ps5 version which is why its coming thru washed out on youtube vid. likely much better color saturation IRL on an HDR tv
If people are wondering why the PS5 version looks worse and washed out it's because HDR is enabled in the in game settings. This is the raw signal captured by the capture card the TV processes the image and it would be displayed differently on your TV, and look significantly better.
When i upgraded to the ps5 version i went back to the ps4 version. Ps5 one is more vivid but seems more fake and mechanical. Ps4 has better textures and more of a living environment instead of super maxed out hyper colored plastic.
What about pkayinf the ps4 viraion on the ps5.... Does that make a difference in noise reduction etc cause i can buy the ps4 viraion for £20 but the ps5 virsion is like £40
