@@Darkdally So OP is partly correct. The thing that makes a pistol a “pistol” in the US is it’s not shouldered and it’s designed to be fired with 1 hand. If you put a foregrip on a pistol, it’s no longer classified as a pistol because you made it designed to be shot with 2 hands. So when you have a manufacturer build a weapon without the stock and claim something as a pistol then you put a “brace/stabilizer” on it with no “intention” to use it as a brace/stabilizer and you plan to shoulder it… is it really a brace/stabilizer or is it a stock? The ATF first said it was fine but later realized people had no intention to use braces and stabilizers as braces or stabilizers, which is basically something you velcro to your arm to stabilize the bulky thing, and people were just shouldering them anyway. Which made the ATF move to reclassify braces as stocks because, again, intent matters. To further answer your question… the honey badger is an assault rifle. It uses rifle caliber ammunition. Sub machine guns use pistol caliber ammunition and 300AAC/blackout is rifle caliber. It’s like that Korean “sub machine gun” the K1A. It’s really an assault rifle as it fires the .223/5.56, a rifle caliber. Machine guns: are generally classified as ,but not limited to, capable of firing fully automatically and designed for sustained direct fire with rifle cartridges. (Eg. M249, M60, Stoner) Assault rifle: generally capable of fully automatic and/or burst and semi auto. The important thing is that it is select fire. And designed to be fired in shorter bursts(eg, not a 100rnd belt fed or 30rd mag dump after mag dump) Sub machine gun: a pistol caliber carbine capable of automatic fire, hence.. machine gun. Are generally smaller than assault rifles but size isn’t a defining factor. And for more useless knowledge: difference between and the defining factors that make LightMG, MediumMG, HeavyMG is caliber and effective range. Think 5.56mm, 7.62mm, 12.7mm or .223, .308, .50cal respectively.

Good replies. The Honey Badger has always been my favorite due to the fact it's a short, integrated suppressed platform with a badass cartridge. I may be wrong but it seems this gun is kind of a sleeper hit for what it does. Interesting facts about the ATF drama, didn't know that. The military probably didn't pick it up for SF units bc it may be...too boutique? Thoughts?

@@FourthExile So the purpose of the 300BO is to have a higher mass, sub sonic round that’s built for a very short barrel. If the military was to adopt the honey badger for the SF they would use it as intended, sub sonic. Meaning less than 1200fps depending on conditions. The grain weight would average 190-230gr and the fps would average 950 fps or so. Do you know what else averages 230gr and 830fps? .45caliber. 45ACP is designed to full burn in barrels 5” or less, already readily available, issued, and vastly cheaper with no need for special weapons and just as quiet, if not quieter if you get the slide lock modification to your handgun. The argument could be made that you could carry different magazines. Some with your quiet pew pew sneaky sneak ammo and some with you BOOM Move Out’ta Way! rounds but then, why have a handgun? It’s not really that much more accurate, and with such a slow, yet comparable FPS and similar grain weight, it would have nearly the same ballistics and effective range as the 45ACP. You could say that the HB can have a scope that a HG couldn’t but then again you wouldn’t really take a 100m-250m shot with it anyway if you really needed that quiet pew pew sneaky sneaks. You COULD, it doesn’t mean you SHOULD. if you MUST drop the target in 1 shot you would either get closer or use something louder from further away. The biggest problem I see with people advocating for 300Blackout is that they completely ignore it’s purpose. What it’s designed to be. A higher mass, sub-sonic .30cal and instead turn it in to a less than .308.

@@FourthExile The Honey Badger is cool and I love using it in breakpoint too. And it IS versatile but when you change it away from it’s designed purpose, it becomes lack luster and just takes up space for weapons that can fill those roles better and what it’s designed for can be filled by using the .45acp.

Sugar Weasel also lacks the suppressor component to the firearm as those aren't readily sold in the US unlike firearms.

@@andreivaldez2929 I am not Q expert, but I think it all depends on what exactly you order. Standard Honey Badger SBR( so a tax stamp) & Sugar Weasel(considered a pistol...no stamp) appear to be sold w/o a can. The Honey Badger SBR SD, lookes to come supressed, which would make it a double stamp NFA item.

I own a honey badger pistol with a trash panda silencer. Q makes 3 versions of the honey badger (SBR, Pistol, and SD)

Also what I used in the Marines. Oorah. The unfortunate thing about the one in game is that the sights are off, so You can't aim it properly with the most iconic rear sight fixture :(. But yeah, I was so psyched to see it as it was when I used it, even with that ventilated mount for the M203 like we used to have. Awesome weapon, but watch it if you run on irons - they're off. @@Darkdally I just finished playing some GRW a few minutes ago and I found if you can figure out where the irons actually point to, you can compensate for it. However, when you play with other weapons with iron site, it messes with your accuracy a bit. LOL Thanks for the heads up.

@@Darkdally same. Though Motherland in breakpoint was an improvement… but still not as good as Wildlands.

They. Honey Badger and the Kris Vector are my 2 favorite guns in the game.

I've just done it so much with the drone, always with the drone that I never thought about it. I rarely do it in combat and just didn't think that i don't need the drone cuz that's how i've always done it. thx

@@Darkdally lol I hear you. I just know how annoying it is when you can't use the drone and watching it triggers the ptsd. Spotting the ground has saved me many times when I'm surrounded. Especially in the Fallen Ghosts dlc when you have to defend towers for 5 mins. Anyway, I came back to your channel after reinstalling GRW after a few years. Its still a great game and your videos are extra helpful! Thanks for that👍

You don't get xp from rebel recon though (also counts in Tier mode). Important if you're a new player or starting a new character.

I think it fits a similar niche to the SR-3M/VSS vintorez; a suppressed, close range, compact carbine

I play with a PS4 controller. Not as quick as a mouse, but here's what I do. I have my sensitivity turned down quite a bit. I aim in third person then scope and shoot. My aim isn't always right on, no, and when I miss you see me scope back out, get the target and scope and shoot. that with low sensitivity is how I do it.... watch any of my videos and that's my style. It may not be the best, but it gets the job done. I usually line up the crosshair and get it done with one scope in and out you know.

@@Darkdally So it means you are relying on the autoaim function to get your crosshair magnetised to the target then correct it slightly with your scope? I also have trouble mastering my gun skills with PS4 controllers, but maybe I am just a noob too. Thanks for the good comment, and of course you are correct, sir. I do also play on PC. My GPU is an Nvidia GTX 1060 3gb. It's the one weak spot in my PC - more than enough to run this game - my mb and CPU are Asus / Intel 7700 with 32gb of RAM. I have, over the last seven years, rebuilt this PC, replacing everything including the MB and the case and everything, save for the GPU. if I had the money, that tired old 1060 GTX would be the next thing to go, and then the rebuild would be complete, but I don't have the money. All of that said, and addressing your comment on the 30 FPS as I'm recording this on PS4, I can address that as well: Even when I record on PC, I still record at 30fps, and I'll tell you why. It's all about storage space. Yes, I play at 60fps+, but realize that I need storage space for all these videos. It does come down to that. It looks fine and normal, but yeah, to the viewer it's negligible, but for me it's all about HDD space. As it is I have to delete as I go, but I only have space for so many videos on my HDDs. I'd love to have another 4tb drive and I'd give my left nut for a new GPU, but RU-vid doesn't pay that much, so pending that upgrade, that's why I post videos at 30fps. Mind you that I run these tests at 1080p 60fps, but the final video is graded down because storage space, and as it is I've deleted videos by the hundred to make room for more. Thanks, man :)

@@Darkdally oh the posting at 30fps is fine for the most part I just wondered because I thought RU-vid would pay enough for a new GPU. I picked up a 3070 for $499 new a couple months back and now they are selling cheaper used but a 1660 is fine for 1080p as well. Glad you updated to PC I thought you seemed to have a PC in your Breakpoint content. I wondered why you weren't going for higher frame rates for quicker reflect times. Thanks for the cool content I'm still watching all your 2-5 year old videos. Are you planning on doing more soon or are you sort of done in this space? Something I think you might like your PC will run is Arma 3 for the hardcore milsim

@@dustineverhart4028 Oh, sir, I'm never done; I just stop for a breather here and there. The price for a new GPU just eludes me. I live paycheck to paycheck and that pricetag tbh is like .... my new case and motherboard combined.... the GPU is the most expensive part of my rig. I'm actually glad that it's still good and chugging all these years later. It's enough for GRW or GRB on ultra settings np. It's as I said though. I record only 30fps just to save storage space. It's a serious war here for storage. I have like 4 HDDs and I'm always making room for more vids. I did my share of Breakpoint content. I helped test the game, of which I have footage - I interviewed the developer - was flown out to SF (American Ubisoft headquarters) twice at their expense - and have I think around 47 videos on GRB. I just like Wildlands better. Their new Ghost Recon project, which to my knowledge is still under the codename "Over", is supposed to come out later next year. We'll see, and I hope I get to test it, and I fucking PRAY it's as good as Wildlands. :)

@@Darkdally haha you and me both brother. And that's awesome I haven't seen all your vids yet. I been playing GRW for years and can't get myself to play GRB bc it's so lifeless and I just switch over to GRW every time. I hope at some point they do a re-master using next gen engine. Can't wait to see what they have next maybe it'll have the upgrades from GRB along with all the minute details that made GRW come to life
