Wildlands is a underrated gem. This is what a “military” game should feel like. Big open world, the provinces each had their own problems and their own life and each gun felt unique. Great clothing options too. All around great game
I agree. I not only spent a few years in the US military, but as many years playing Wildlands. I helped later on in the development stage of Breakpoint, but I'm still waiting for Wildlands 2, if it ever happens. As someone who's played Ghost Recon games since its inception, Wildlands was what they should stick with. Thank you for your view and comment!
@@Darkdally anytime my man! I played ghost recon when I was a kid and it never really stuck with me like socom did but wildlands is everything a “military”esc game should be.
@@Darkdally I would LOVE a Wildlands 2! I don't think it will happen though, as alot of my friends think that the game was fairly repepitive. I think the setting was very varied, and while every buchon mission was basically how to catch them or kill them, it felt varied enough for me. I love the sim aspect of the game, and often found myself just playing to complete bases, even if they weren't mission objectives.
I had to go back to Wildlands. I literally hate everything about Breakpoint. You have no idea how happy I felt when I loaded Wildlands up and was back in Bolivia. It was like coming home.
U forgot to mention about supply chopper mission. Always recon n identify the pilot first, the one wearing a helmet n with no weapons. Take him out n then there is no risk of the supply chopper being flown away before u take it.
Wish I knew this a few hours ago. Cheers for that will give it a go👍 I'm still in the first sector/area, have only done the first 2 story missions but I'm 3/4 finished with all the Intel, weapons crates etc. Only thing I'm struggling with now is big shootouts, especially the one where you have to defend the rebel computer from shit loads of them from all different angles. Getting good at sneaking around but open shootouts is definitely not my thing
@@scotwilson4169 i found two way of dealing with that. Memorize where thet spawn and set mines there. And the other is getting unidad to hunt you as you do the radio. They wont attack the radio, only the cartel
For me some nice tips for beginners from an average player 1.) You can free those prisoner rebels from the jail by shooting the lock open even with silencer pistol, you dont need to always walk to that door to open it by pressing E 2.) At night battles you can shoot those lamps out so you dont get detected to easily 3.) For those alarm horn masts, there is always an electric power box in each alarm horn pole. Shoot that electric box on the pole to disable the helicopter alarm 4.) Use heavy sniper 0.5cal to shoot down electric power station (transformers) in the bases to disable electricity. 5.) For breaching doors like rebel diversion or the Caveira mission door breaching, or for destroying explosive targets you can place any type of mine or proximity mine and shoot that mine with a sniper when youve run out of C4 for otherwise remote detonating 6.) You can blow up santa blanca mortar pits if you sniper shoot the mortar ammo boxes in the mortar pit or grenade into it
@steelpan what's the best way to get points up or money to buy weapons. I'm a total novice at this but getting there learning tricks? Cheers for the other tips
@@BensonAndHedgers I'm replaying game on ghost mode to get exoskeleton, but I think on ghost mode, really if you bought dlc weapons like 416 assault rifle for that gun I think I was able to use most attachments 30 rnd mag and m4 aimpoint for it from the start. For prestige crates and credits ways to get them is to play campagn on ghost mode or rank up in tier mode to accumulate those prestige credits ( you can get m16 and m4 micteca from them at least )
I know that this is super late and probably won’t get seen, but one tip I found that isn’t covered in this video is that you can ram your drone into an enemy helicopter to instantly take it down.
Played this for the first time on 26.12.2021. Doesnt feel outdated at all, best £7.99 I've spent in a very long time and glad i went for wildlands over Breakpoint. Thanks for the video, will be looking through the rest of your content for sure
yeah, it's 2022 and this game is still relevant. In fact, we have a video planned coming up to discuss just that. Myself, Scout, The Hand, and ... well we're not 100% on the fourth member just yet, but yeah. It should be in the next couple of days, once we can get our timezones lined up, and we'll all relive some of our best moments in Wildlands. 5 years later and I still love this game.
I just started playing Wildlands last night and love it so far. I've beaten breakpoint twice now and love that game too so im curious which one I will like more. I've only played wildlands for about 3 hours but have seen youtube videos of gameplay and the map looks incredible. I was a huge fan of the map in Breakpoint. You could be on a beach and take a helicopter to the top of snow covered mountains which I liked alot
I thinks it’s important to upgrade the rebels as soon as possible so when your playing in extreme or ghost mode youll have some backup and mortars to call in
Im a.single player campaign gamer. I dont play anything online or.multiplayer. I recently picked up this game online at Gamestop for $10. It will be the first Ghost Recon game ive played or any Tom Clancy for that matter. This guide will be immensely helpful to me. I have only played about an hour.but alrwasy im enjoying the game.immensely. Thank you
I am really glad you are still making content for this game. This game just has a certain charm to it that keeps bringing me back to it Love your vids mate Keep up the great work ❤
On Christmas, december 2021, my brother took me to a game store to choose 2 I want. I chose Assassins Creed Odeyssey first, and before I chose the second one the guy who works there pulled out wildlands and told me that it was a great game. He was a very wholesome guy so I ended up buying it, and I'm so glad i did. Such an underrated game
Wildlands may have deviated alot from what the franchise is known for but in my opinion it is the most fun ghost recon game to play with the most interesting story.
I went back to this game recently and am finding it very hard. Unidad is like 5 stars in GTA, and once they get on you it feels like things are hopeless
You just have to fire and move can’t stay in one place and make to always suppress fire them (not meaning use a suppressor) i mean just fire at them until they take cover and then you push to one side and keep fire and moving and you’ll be able to get away
Yeah, Unidad is pretty relentless. It's all about being well-positioned and using the right equipment. You gotta be on point with flash, nades, and fast-firing subs and shotties. They'll probably take you down in a prolonged engagement, but if you play your cards right you'll stack bodies before they finally get ya. Or have a good team and you may not have to die..
Although Breakpoint had some cool features like hiding in the grass, and better vehicles, I’ll never forget Wildlands. I’ve beat the campaign about 9 times and I still miss the miss grind behind it. Forever my favorite game
@@Nick-ui9dr I think he means when you can dig yourself into the ground on breakpoint. The only time you really need to use it is when the plne flies overhead and can spot you unless your dug into the ground. Sometimes I would do it when I was using the drone for recon of a base just to make sure I wasn't spotted
I just grabbed this game after hearing so much about this and absolutely love Wildlands, amazing open world tactical game and I've played Counterstrike Beta from 1999, Battlefield series, Cod etc and this is by far one of my fav games and i've only just begun!! Thanks for the tips :)
Tried both a couple of days ago, breakpoint has better gameplay and the immersive mode is great. But Wildlands is better overall, its story and setting is more interesting and going mission to mission is more fun
Wildlands had a lot of uncertainty in the beginning however most of the comments are spot on. This game is insanely fun. I don’t know if they can top this unless they pretty much make a game identical to this just a different location different scenario and not breakpoint. Great content DD 👍🏼
I use EMP drones to take out convoys. My personal record taking out a fully escorted convoy without so much as scratching the truck with the goods is four seconds.
@@mottony I shoot the EMP Drone, Syncshot the drivers and take out the escorts with a M203. Don't trust the HTC(Even the beefed up, TIER40 one) anymore because sometimes it cripples the Humvee but it doesn't blow up.
If you have the BFG 50A from the Fallen Ghosts DLC, it's the best rifle for sniping imo, the TARS101 has 9x magnification on the BFG. And with max vehicle destruction it does HTI damage.
It’s been how many years now and I’m still going back to this game. I love how you can change different parts of your weapon and noticed a slight difference on everything I love the customization aspect in the freedom to do whatever you want to do. And every time I go back to wildlands I need to go to Darkdally for my refresher lol
I just got the game. I downloaded the demo from my PlayStation plus account and it made it seem like it was the whole game. But was just a demo so once my hours were up i was hooked and had to buy the whole game. Its one of my favorites. Im still playing lt
Yea I actually played the Breakpoint demo which was fun I bought wildcards because is was 80 cheaper hopping it's as fun as ppl say didn't want to 50 dollars for Breakpoint
Here in 2024 on PC and I’m amazed at how immersive, Huge, And beautiful this game is, This was well ahead of its time, An absolutely amazing game, it’s very hard for me to feel immersed in games but this one makes me almost want to RP and move around slowly as if it was real life military, 10/10
I usually play the AC (Assassin's Creed) games but Breakpoint looked so tempting. I have played two of the prior GR games. But as you mentioned in this video, many of us were so disappointed with Breakpoint. For me, the upgrades made the game LESS playable, not more. So I decided to give Wildlands a go. Many of you have said how awesome the game is. I've only put in 4 hours but I am loving it already. Much smoother than Breakpoint. Thanks for this video. I will check out the rest of your videos later.
My personal tip for capturing enemies: For those with the tendency to runaway, use the EMP drone, it will disable everything, cars and choppers. For those that shoot back at you, just flash bang the fucker.
I just randomly bought this game, never even heard of it. I asked the guy working at the local gaming store and he highly recommend it. Wow, how surprised was I, this game is incredible!
unidad is a love hate relationship for me, i love the way they do their work and everything about them from vehicles to the voice of the comms guy but fighting them just irks my nerves
Super late reply so sorry mate but You just have to fire and move can’t stay in one place and make sure to always lay down suppressive fire (not meaning use a suppressor) i mean just fire at them until they take cover and then you push to one side and keep fire and moving and you’ll be able to get away
I once stood my ground in one of their small bases which I cleared via drone explosions, sync shots etc. and did the GTA thing where I kept reloading my UGL with grenades and downed about 30-40-50? Apaches.... it really helped me hone my grenade launcher aim to the point where I need just one shot to destroy a helicopter in 95% of the situations I find myself in. there were so many chopper wreckages on the floor, they couldn't fit to reach me and the due to the wreckages they would spawn further and further away from me ducking behind cover.
I actually went with the extra sync shots first, and then nabbed the parachute. Having those really helped with stealth and maintaining control of the op. I then went with drone, and got the emp. This really helped me with taking down generators, and stopping vehicles I didnt want to destroy. Of course being able to recon, and devise a plan on the fly.
Thanks. Yeah many have been playing it for awhile, but also many are just picking it up and I thought for any player it might not be a bad video. I plan to do others like this for multiplayer, setting up weapons, and other stuff.
Regarding Unidad, I would say aside from the base in Itacua (which is the easiest one to infiltrate) where you have to interrogate that captain, don't even mess with Unidad until you've leveled up and aquired the HTI, Grenade Launcher, and Explosive Drone, as well as raising your Stamina. They can be a huge pain in the ass to take on at lower levels. I found this out the hard way the first time I played the game, I tried to take out a random patrol buggy that was near my position and before I knew it, it escalated to the point I had Cobras firing rockets at me. Needless to say that did not end well.
I had to stop playing this game a few months ago because I was burnt out I was playing it everyday and recently felt like playing it again and then I forgot that I never played the DLC lol so now I have something new to play 😁
Those are rookies numbers bro for wildlands i dont have as many hours but on onr game called mount and blade warband i have over 2000 hours planning to get more hours into wildlands i always seem to get bored and unistall it
Another that i missed (Not gameplay but thought would be good) if you go to your character customization, press c or z to switch between your bots and you can make them wear whatever you have. its good if you're trying to increase immersion or you just want your guys (or even gals) to look different or wear the same uniform
Something I learned is that if you are going for a medic chopper side mission, use sync shot on the Lt. and there will also be another guard with a pilot helmet or headset on who can also fly the chopper away. If they both die first then the chopper won't fly away on you.
Yeah, I know that the ghillie does absolutely nothing but I do enjoy matching myself to the terrain as much as I possibly can just for the fun of it. If you ask me, they should make it so that when you get into the higher levels of difficulty, the ghillie does work because the higher level of difficulty you get into, the more realistic the game becomes as far as minimap ques and the damage output from your enemies. Just something that I would really love to have seen implemented into the game as the game does revolve around being stealth and trying to the missions quickly and quietly as the devs have said. Adding functional ghillie would just take the game to the next level with being an amazing tactical shooter.
@@matthewjones39 it would all depend on your play style and the setting of the mission and terrain. If it is completely urban, then there would be no reason to run a ghillie as there is nothing to blend in with.
Got this game on PC for $15.99 yesterday. Its a great looking game 5 years later, especially on a 3440x1440p monitor. Much better looking than when I played it on Xbox back in 2017.
I just bought this game two weeks ago after waiting for years for it to come down enough in price. Luckily I got the Gold Edition. I love this game. Once you get familiar with it, it gets really interesting. I like the proximity mines more than the normal mines. Because you can throw them and place them pretty much anywhere.
I just got it! Got it for $20 on the epic game store and break point was $23! I heard so many bad things about break point decided to go with wildlands! I never played it and wanted to get into it! Hope it lives up to the hype.
Well I just ordered wild lands. I have breakpoint it's ok it's my first time playing it. But it was on sale for 19.79 so I just bought it. I'm going to try wild lands and see if I can enjoy it more.
Just ordered wildlands. Its on its way With all the gameplay tip videos yours is more interesting and educative. Thanks man Anticipating its delivery!!
I just got this on the weekend as it was recommended by a friend and I’m completely hooked. Great video and thanks for the tips, you have a new sub!😉👌😎
I’m came back to play ghost mode and I learnt a few tips along : 1) don’t drive like a stuntman, use only car when going down cliff 2) use helicopter and plane rarely , only when u do supply runs 3) get grenade launcher first 4) get flashbangs, it save me a lot of times. You can flashbang and run 5) when in worst situations, press tab and select open fire under ai teammate and hang back and let them do the job. U still get the same exp. 6) when u do (5) and teammate starts dying badly, RUN!!! 7) driving around in a car with AI shooting into a outpost is actually really a great idea 8) it’s always ok to abandon ur AI teammate, run far away and come back. 9) prepare an armoured car at the exit using vehicle support tab if you know shit is going to go down. So you can make a quick escape
A lot of people do love breakpoint, its just that it had a rough launch with all the microtransactions issues (wich i undertsand) and we have to admit that Auroa isnt as pleasing and good looking as Bolivia plus the fact that there is no real "life". NPC'S not so present, making the game more blank than its predecessor, I started with Breakpoint and i still love it and I will always be thankful that the devs didnt abandon it. @@cookdislander4372
I still play ghost recon wildlands it’s an amazing game there’s always a gun fight to be had and my best friend used to play before he got locked up so I’ve been grinding my bones to dust to get as much in game as I can so when he finally is released we can ghost up and roam Bolivia
I have to agree, playing wildlands like breakpoint's immersive no hud is twice as hard and 10 times as fun. The thrill of not knowing fully, how many guys are there in base and still clear it quietly with maximum resource looted, intels stolen, ad and jammer disabled is hella addictive. I dont do luring stuff or go gung ho fight. I fight on my turf, my advantage but in their base. Also carrying different weapon setup for different purposes, and changing them(even attachments) only in rebel outpost, makes it much more tactical. The best areas in this game are definitely the forested areas and unidad reinforced areas.
On your point of luring enemies. You can lure them even with a mortar strike, or C-4. There should be no way of them knowing where you are, but they always go to your position when the explosion happened. I usually plant C-4 on mortar or generators. and blow them up. then plant a land mine where i was and move to a new location. wait for them to trigger that mine, and plant another and move. they almost always go directly to where you are and it's hilarious.
Thank you for this video!! I just bought this game and it's sick but I'm running all over the place and have no clue what I should do first. This really helped!
88 hour on break point never finished a actual mission apart from kill walker mostly just cooped with the terminator for fun and done the drones all over now getting back into wild lands
Such an addictive and satisfying game. Stealth from lacation to location planning your approach and one tapping enemies. Great story, great map.. loads of extras.. awesome. Gours of fun
Drones are massively under-rated. If you have a good range and EMP they are amazing for taking out choppers! Higher range and Higher EMP level are so powerful at dropping choppers like flies!
on sale in steam and just picked up your videos sir are amazing just discovered and watched to help determine if need dlc and what and now watching you guides new subscriber here thanks for all this content
I’ve watched your videos before but I rediscovered your channel since returning to wildlands. I have to say… these are some of the best tips I’ve ever seen in a video like this!
Tip I would add is know the distance at which loud weapons are heard, for most if you are post 150m even for big caliber sniper rifles they will not hear the shot. As a result I strongly advice against running a suppressor on a sniper rifle as the loss in velocity means it is harder to land shots on moving targets.
Yeah I was going to expand more on the weapons one but decided it was getting too long and it deserves its own video. I'll have a 13 tips on setting up and knowing your rifle video thing. I'll figure it out later.
@@Darkdally I can already see the comments on that one, got a feeling quite a few people like their specific setup and proclaim it to be the end all of all setups.
@@Lintary People do indeed. It'd be more like what parts affect what aspects of the rifle and how, how to "zero your scope" at different ranges (which mildot to use), the affects of different parts individually, accuracy vs handling... that might be a new video, i seem to do one of those a year just to keep it updated, but also stuff like know which scopes and which rifles are off, the advantages of rate of fire vs damage.. things like that. I know better than to proclaim "best weapon", even though I do it on occasion anyway, but this would be about mechanics, not about which weapon, if that's what you were thinking.
@@Darkdally If you want you can poke me on discord (same name) I still have just about all if not all not special snipers ranged in to 950m with the T5Xi Tactical scope.
thanks man! that is great for grinding resources in Tier Mode to level weapons. I had to level a lot of weapons for testing in videos, so I did that Bravo-Delta run probably hundreds of times now lol
I've seen this game so many times. I used to play rainbow six siege when it first came out but this game never interested me, 6 years later I unlock this beautiful gem on Xbox and I just love it! Thanks for the content 💯
I played this for all of 10 mins when it came out died alot in those 10mins and un installed it, but now its on gamepass and i actually know what style of game it is and i cant just go run and gun into every camp i play it all the time pretty fun tbh.
This video makes me want to play breakpoint. I love wildlands so much , Bolivia is still one of the best maps I've played around in but now that breakpoint ditched the division style tiered loot and basically added everything from wildlands, its hard not to prefer the better weapon mechanics/sounds, character animations/movement, survival mechanics, more settings and more content. That being said , after the updates the biggest difference between wildlands and breakpoint is the gameplay style. Wildlands nails the urban warfare, where as breakpoint focuses on wilderness stealth so every now and then I do go back for the urban warfare gameplay but still prefer breakpoint over all
The only real bad thing about the game is the lack of good music and your fellow team members don't talk at all so the game is really really quiet when not in combat.
7.) You can always drive through the regular chickenwire fences with cars instead of walking around to find entrance. The exception to this is when the wire fence has brick foundation underneath it so then you cannot drive over it
