GHOST's Tobias Forge interview on Satan, Sabbath & the future of metal

Hands down, the best interview, with an interviewer, who did not interrupt Tobias. Listened to what he had to say and cared about the musican and was very knowledgeable of him and their music.

that tiny moment where tobias referred to the cardinal as "cardi" made me insanely happy. it also totally confirms he definitely lurks online for ghost discourse. hail cardi c! and the papas and of course, tobias.

Sam Dunn is such an awesome interviewer. He's extremely knowledgeable about all things metal and just does things the right way.

His speaking voice is so profound. He should read a book on tape for audible under a pseudonym.

He's such a well spoken guy, great interview.

Whether you like Ghost or not, this is a great interview and I have a huge amount of respect for Tobias. Plus, his English is better than a lot of English-speakers. Props!

Excellent interview. Tobias seems like a very interesting, well education, spoken person. The character that he portrays just works. I would love to see a full length movie on Tobias and Ghost.

As a musician and someone who grew up loving the same material from the bands that he loves, this man is MY hero.

I love how reserved he is personally yet how explosive he can be once he gets on stage.

One of the great traits that puts Ghost above most Metal bands (from my semi professional musician perspective) is that they incorporate great melodies and harmonies with their music. They don't just get up there and vocally bludgeon you with growling, screaming, and shrieking.

Tobias is so smart, and well spoken, I really admire his qualities. Plus he seems to be interested in any form of art.

Awesome, just awesome. A lot of metal elitists shit on Ghost but i genuinely love what they do. I am so glad Tobias mentioned Queen and the Doors, those are obvious and great influences.

I could sit all day and just listen to Tobias Forge speak his wisdom to me. Such an interesting person.

This has to be my favorite interview with Tobias. The way he talks,when he's finding the right words. His take on making music, his view on making a show and the future of music. It's hard not to feel a pretty great level of respect for the guy. And all those things just make me enjoy his music even more. :D

9:40 when a music historian like Sam Dunn says Tobias is the one to carry the torch of rock and roll into the future? Holy shit.

A very good interview, possibly the very best I’ve ever seen. Intelligent questions asked and then time given for coherent answers. Extremely well done on both sides. This should be the template for all interviews, the main stream media could learn how it should be done.

Great interview, I only recently started listening to Ghost, but I've gone out of my way to watch every video, listen to every album and I plan to go see them live in August. They have definitely skipped the line to become one of my favorite bands in a very short time. 🤘

I’ve never heard of this guy or even listen to rock but was suggested for some weird ass reason. I prob still wont even listen to Ghost or this style music but I think it’s cool he speaks so passionately about his influences and carrying on the style.

great interview. im 37 and ive been waiting for this band. i grew up with pantera and marilyn manson and they fill the void many groups have not in the past decade. Tobias is much like Trent Reznor in the fact hes a musician through and through. if only Peter Steele and Tobias Forge could have met.

Ghost is one of the few bands that "grew on me". I did not like them at all when I first heard them. And I'm a long time rocker/ metal head. I kept hearing people talk about how great they are so I kept going back to listen. Now I listen to them a lot.

I just started listing to ghost and I'm 51 i love discovering new music.

Seriously, I can't remember a better interview with Tobias! This was definitely the elite of all interviews and I could have watched/listened for much longer. He talks about the success of Rock 'n' Roll bands being once dictated by teenagers to 20+ year olds which I think is coming back around. The amount of young children/pre-teens I see with their parents at Ghost rituals is nothing short of amazing. These younger boys and girls are coming in with their faces painted wearing the band's shirts and costumes and are truly enjoying the show. They're with their parents, or just their moms or dads, doing meet and greets which is pretty awesome. While some may argue that Ghost puts on an adult only show, what these kids are seeing or hearing in school or on t.v. is far worse than anything they'll ever see or hear while enjoying a ritual. Ghost is for EVERYONE, young and old, and I am eager to see what the future looks like with Ghost playing at places like Madison Square Gardens.
