**IMPORTANT NOTE** Rules error - I should have put a threat on each main scheme during the villain phase. What are your thoughts of this encounter? Did you enjoy it? Think it is too hard or too easy?
Yea i was about to point it out lol. This guy was supposed to be extremely hard. Web binding helps “stun” him. Gwen has no way of dealing with the advanced glider either unless discarding 2 of her kicks. That is major costly, but the penalty for letting him activate twice with a chance of gang up will bruise gwen up so bad. When played with 3 players this guy was surprisingly easier… kitty pryde has that kick and condition that screw up goblins tempo..
I’ve only played Venom-Goblin once in campaign (standard) with a friend (Miles & Gwen were used) he was SUPER easy (but we also had the Symbiote suit and benefits of campaign unlocks. I’ll have to try him in true solo to really get a feel for his difficulty.
I have not been able to beat VG with Ghost Spider in protection. Have a limited card pool. Thought about justice for her. I was 1 win out of 9 with Miles😂
He is not that bad if you and the people you play with don’t mind taking threat off. In my games against him if I went for straight damage it didn’t go well.
He is a handful for sure. Most villains you don’t have to bring your A game to beat them not him. I don’t enjoy playing against him most of the time. I would say Venom or Sandman from the box that I enjoy going up against.
I like your other videos, but this one needs a major asterisk* as you need to put threat on each main scheme every villain phase: Sinister Motives, pg. 17: "During step 1 of the villain phase, place threat on each main scheme according to its own acceleration value...." This is likely where a lot of the difficulty comes from when other people are talking about the scenario - combined with the silliness that is "Advanced Glider"!
