It's quite telling considering Swayze specifically asked for Whoopi to be cast for the part, and even refused to do the film until she signed on. He was enamored with her from the very beginning.
How right he was about all of that. It’s so sad and almost a bit scary, watching him say this way back in the days. I remember seeing this interview then. Only now I’m seeing it, knowing that he himself had to leave the love of his life way too soon. Brings me to tears. At least he got the time to say a proper goodbye.
I've visited the cemetery where my parents are buried often, and seen people who's hearts are so broken they'll burst. Some are drunk and others are stoned. I've tried to comfort them with those very words. I know the loss will never be forgotten or go away, but this isn't our home. They're still alive in their spirits which we'll see someday. I've encouraged them to keep open communication. Talk to them about your day or if you need some consolation. Pax Tecum.

I'd love if the events that happened in the movie would happen for real (not the murder & betrayal) but the energy of the spirit that remains after death. Maybe it does happen... probably we'll only know if anything happens (or not) is when we eventually die... But to know that death isn't the end.....and our spirit lives on in another place.

No. He had his wife of about 15 years by then, and I don't believe he and Whoopi ever had an affair. Whoopi always said she and Patrick had a great friendship. He was the one that pushed her to be in Ghost and she always thanks him for getting her in the movie which got her an Oscar.
They were never involved, but he really did love and respect Whoopie. In an interview he said if he wasnt married to his wife, he would marry Whoopie. lol

I love Patrick but this movie leads to false ideas. And unfortunately Patrick leads his fans to this misbelief through this film. The ONLY way to heaven is our Lord Jesus. It is IMPOSSIBLE to get to heaven without him. This film doesn't even mention that. Take care of yourselves.
