By chance are you able to let us know the inside diameter of the foam and the wall thickness .. just asking for a friend 😅 bloody love your videos mate 🤙
@@TheProtonPackIsNotAToy i really appreciate the help mate. I had every intention of buying a piece back on 2020 but IRL stuff happened and well here i am no scrambling to find what i can haha
Nice video. I have an idea for. Video I'd like to see. I just bought a LC 1 pack (not Alice) because it had the v shape strap. How can I mod that to fit my LC 2 Alice frame ? Specifically the proper way to tie the knot at the bottom.
It’s not really a knot. Run the bottom end of the strap with the loop through the hole on the frame, from the inside out. Then run the rest of the strap through the loop and through the slots at the top.
Hopefully doing my GB1 in the next few days. Can I just ask, as the roll sits pretty much on top of the bar, what's the trick to stop it from falling down and the bar ending up in the centre like the GB2 style? Thanks
The tape itself helps some. I’ve since cheated and put small cardboard tubes inside. I have a habit of picking it up by the foam, and it was crinkling the tape up when I did so. The tape I bought isn’t staying put as much as I’d like either.
The rolls in GB1 were initially fully over the bar, like in GB2, but because of the way they taped it on, it always slipped up and off, for the look seen in the film.
@@HAL9000. yeah, I know. I just thought it might be another way to work around it. I get when people want to make their items as screen accurate as possible, and I respect that. However, the devils advocate smartass side of me comes out sometimes and wants to remind people that my Kenner proton pack toy from the 80s is just as effective at catching ghosts as the $2,500 screen accurate props. 😁
Amazon, this was more than enough: www.amazon.com/Bates-Gaffers-Gaffing-Gaffer-Electrical/dp/B08LZPHHR1/ref=mp_s_a_1_4?dchild=1&keywords=gaffers+tape&qid=1625518884&sprefix=gaff&sr=8-4
It’s white foam wrapped in black gaffer’s tape with the ends painted black. You can see it well in the close ups when Ray talks to Gozer. There’s also a blank white spot in the middle behind Venkman’s head just before the earthquake on the street.
