I actually think that too much interaction has prolonged this game. Several boardwipes, counterspells, a lot of spot removal has prevented sooner win IMO.

I think that 45 min is the sweet spot. 1 hour its ok. You guys know how to split time between intro gameplay and commentary. You guys are the best!

I personally enjoyed this game a lot. I prefer to watch a full fledged match where everyone is playing with full gears spinning. Short matches where someone runs away before other people can do much is just boring to me. Great video keep it up! Much love from Florida!

I love the fact that everyone in the playgroup brings a specific energy to the table. Also the Koma's Coil googley eye tokens are the bomb.

In all the quinessential commander videos I don't think I've seen Gabriel fight as hard as he did this game to win. My man's wanted it bad and it showed. XD Sweet decks, sweet game. Can't complain!

I enjoyed this game a lot. Edmond I was glad to see you on Cardboard Commander with the Canadian boys by the way. I watch you guys, them, command zone, I hate your deck, table top jocks, EDH dragon, and probably any others that actually play through the whole game and don’t speed it up. Cause the banter and comments add to the video a lot for some good wholesome commander shenanigans.

I believe a huge mistake was done on Esmonds part. He had a creature that does 1 damage anytime 1 of his creatures leaves the battlefield. Also a dwarth that makes the damage 3 per creature, and than he was given 5 tokens that died to pristine angel, shouldn't have Gabriel taken 15 damage and died.

Nice game! Esix or really any simic token deck is really a hard one to deal with. They bounce back very easy after a board wipe everytime. Kudos to Paul! that spell swindle play out of nowhere. 👏👏👏👏

Wouldn't Esix only trigger off the first part of Sylvan Offering only allowing you to change the treefolk? Or does the elves and the treefolk resolve together, making it one instance?

I guess Esmond wanted to have the angelic arbiter around since he could've easily pinged it down alongside Bruna at around 31:00 after burning down the house :P no blame considering there were two simic decks that needed to be kept in control.. nice game, stuff was happening all the time so I didn't mind the length

I might be mistaken but because they resolve sequentially for sylvan offering wouldn't only the 7/7 be able to be Esix-ed into something else? That's the first instance of a token being made after all. Or does it need the bullet points to actually separate them for resolution purposes? Not sure. Either way, fun as hell game with interaction all over the place

I believe you're right, but he was playing Esix wrong earlier as well when he created a beast off of his second token creation of the turn. He probably thought it triggered every time you make a token on your turn and not just the first.

I have actually been brewing a Koma deck as well, but I’m emphasizing changelings and any card that gives all creature types such as Maskwood Nexus and Arcane Adaptation. If Paul abused Maskwood along with Seedborn Muse to untap it at each upkeep, he would have been locking the game down. I will also use tribal lords like Ayula to make my Changeling Army gain some buffs.

Gabriel..... You were at inifinite creautures...... With esix out and a gala greaters on the board you basically make a gala greaters in response to the tokens that come in every ones turn

Could you elaborate? Esix only works for the first token(s) that come in on his turn, and Gala Greeters needs a creature to ETB under his control in order to create a token.

Poor mono white angels was mana flooded half the game and the other half was just getting stuffed lol. Giada didn’t even do anything the entire game. Normally in mono white angels you want to get Giada out early and snowball into bigger and bigger angels gaining copious amounts of life along the way.

My bad, I should be more specific. We are currently only using Blackmagic cameras for the 2 side cameras. The top-mounted camera which captures the table is not a Blackmagic camera.

I honestly think some of these misplay are a bit... much. You should probably take some time to re-read cards to make sure of the effects. I've already seen one of your episodes where someone won because of a very obvious misplay. Hope this doesn't become a trend.

Yeah, it sucks for us too. We play with new cards in every episode, so there's bound to be mistakes. I've accepted that as long as we get 90-95% of them correct, it's good enough.

@@QMTG Okay, this is just my opinion, but while it's true that on your average turn a simple misplay won't matter as much it's another matter when a misplay wins someone a game. In I think your latest episode a player kept adding +1/+1 to his creature with white spells... while the creature had protection from white. Seeing someone win by what is essentially cheating just leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

So many mistakes in this game. - Fumigate should have healed player for each creature destroyed - If I'm correct, Gabriel couldn't have created 7 witty roastmasters from Sylvan Offering, because FIRST he must create a 7/7 tree folk, that is the first time he creates tokens, and then he creates 7 elves (which will not trigger Esix anymore)

Is that sylvan offering bit right? I thought state-based actions were only checked after resolution, so esix would see all the token creation at once.

@@tidoboyo I checked this extensively when I built my Essix. And the answers were like I stated above. I was very dissapointed to be honest. Check mtg rules '608. Resolving Spells and Abilities.' Notably 608.2c and 608.2e

Maybe the editing was too fast, but we got the life gain from fumigate. But yeah the roastmaster was something we weren’t sure of and unfortunately got wrong
