@@cjfrm3658 no. Embiid and jokic are something like 10% fg difference. and Giannis 5%. Jokic is way more efficient this season. He also is grabbing more rebound and making more assist than both. There is just no story talking about production. All of the point in the video make no sense. They have similar record. The west isn't weaker than the east(west has more wins and the bucks have a way better record against the east). The only point I can accept is that embiid and giannis are better on defense. Because when we talk about production, efficiency and value jokic is by far the best out of the three.

@@keeqho9528 Luka was underwhelming and injured in the first 2 months of the season. That's being held against him. Also, despite having more 10+ point scorers, the Mavs still have better players than the Nuggets. Spencer and Brunson are both really good, and the latter can run an offense. No one on the Nuggets, beyond Jokic, can do that.

IN games with the Mavs the stats are as follows: Porzingis 19.2 Brunson 16.3 Dinwiddie 16.2 Hardaway Jr. 14.2 Finney-Smith 10.9 Gordon 14.9 Barton 14.7 Morris 12.6 Green 10.3 Let's get serious, I believe the Nuggets are the only team in the league without a second player averaging over 15ppg. Watch a game, other than Gordon those other guys are not good at all.

@@paquinraino8180 I have to respectfully disagree, Giannis plays hard every game to my eye.. I think other things effected the slow start like playing the whole season without brook lopez after he got hurt game 1. He made all defense last year averaging 2.4 blocks per game and he provides spacing on the offensive end.. as soon as he got back the defense got that much better now that he’s back Giannis can be used everywhere rather than just as a rim protector which makes their defense elite.

Jokic right now has the highest PER in NBA history, leading his team in PTS, REB, and ASSISTS, while being the only one top 10 in each of those categories across the league. IDK if Jokic will win, but saying he's in the conversation is not out of the realm of possibility.

It’s not even just that. His team is very injured and has zero star power without him. He has carried his team more than any of the other candidates. Also he’s not just leading in PER. Jokic is leading in almost every single efficiency and productivity advanced stat and is having one of the greatest defensive seasons of all time. But you actually have to watch games and look further into stats to see that. That’s why media people don’t understand the Jokic hype. They only care about narratives and surface level analysis. I’m not saying a jokic should or will win, but he’s top 3 and is having a better year than Embiid by far. Not sure how Embiid is had to thought it out through more than Jokic as well. Having one distraction is not a big deal when your roster is stacked with defense and shooters.

Has some of the best defensive stats in the leauge this year. Higher defensive bpm, defensive raptor, defensive win shares and defensive rating than giannis.... They both play a completely different style of defense just because ones not as flashy as another doesn't mean he plays bad defense. Both are just as effective.

The bucks have Middleton who’s averaging 20,5,5, Holiday is averaging 18,7,5, those numbers would go up, Bobby is averaging 15 and 9, Brook Lopez is giving you 12 and Greyson Allen and Pat are giving you 11. If Giannis doesn’t play this team is still good and their numbers would go up just from usage percentage alone. They would still be a top 8 team in the east. I just think people don’t realize how good they have it. Mavericks for example is a team that would probably be dead last if they didn’t have Luka. Here’s the numbers. Brunson 16,5,4, Dinwiddie is averaging 12,6,5, Finney Smith is Averaging 10 and 5 rebounds, Powell is averaging 8 and 5, and the rest of the team is averaging under 5 points. They don’t even have a player who’s averaging more then 6 rebounds on their team besides Luka. 😂

I don't know why Embiid is getting credit for overcoming the problems he helped create. Giannis helped create a non-toxic environment through his leadership too and Jokic has had less success making his team a top seed. This is the same way they lobbied for Ben Simmons to be ROTY over Spider in Utah and it was clear it was a mistake then, as it is now. Giannis could've had drama and left his team and thrown players under the bus but he worked and won a championship and now he's back here making the Bucks a top seed again.

@@bgallegos43 the guy is defending champion, being discussed in defensive player of the year, scoring title contender, and MVP. Jokic has done tremendously well and I consider him a viable candidate but Giannis for me has made the Bucks a contender. It's only really one injury Denver is dealing with in Jamaal Murray. More than likely the Bucks would be like a 6 or 7 seed without Giannis, same for Jokic but with Giannis, they're title threats.

Stop thinking and look at the play, it's Giannis. Giannis has officially entered the MJ/Lebron territory, voters just don't want to give it to him no matter how great he is. He could win the scoring title, DPOY, and not the MVP. For someone who was "coasting" he is literally at the bare edge of being the scoring champ.

Luka is also in the conversation. His team is much worse than giannis and Embiid and has the same caliber team as jokic and has more wins than all of them. One guy has better stats, Better advanced analytics, is a better defender, is higher in the standings, won head to head two out of three times, and is universally considered the better player. Imho it's not pointed out enough that the true difference in the goat debate between MJ and LeBron is MJs incredible defense + defensive intensity. Giannis has that intensity. First time since MJ that someone with such offensive genius brings that kind of defensive game every night, especially in the biggest moments.

The MVP is obvious every single year and it never ends up being as obvious as it should be cuz they want to push narratives. No one cares if Ben Simmons didn’t play. He should have won 3-5 in a row. Just like Jordan should have won 4-5 in a row then another 2-3 in a row after he came back. Jokic is clearly the MVP, leads the league in WS, Offensive WS, WS/48, OBPM, DBPM, BPM, VORP, RAPTOR WAR, Offensive RAPTOR, and total RAPTOR to go along with the highest PER in history. He’s second in DWS, second in Defensive RAPTOR, fourth in TS% (the top 3 average 10+ less PPG than him), fourth in assist%, 2nd in DRB%, 3rd in TRB%, has 3 game winning blocks, and has only missed 7 games all year.

Jokic is doing everything for that team. Not only does he have the highest PER in NBA history, but he leads the Nuggets in points, assists, and rebounds on 58% FG%. That’s without Jamal Murray and MPJ, a team with which the Nuggets reached the WCF. It’s debatable if Jokic wasn’t putting everything he’s got into every game that the Nuggets wouldn’t even be in the 5th seed - as Acho said, 1 game below the Bucks out east. The only teams better in the west have other potential MVP candidates (Ja, Luka, and Book) and a former unanimous MVP in Steph. No doubt I believe Giannis is the best player in the league (and possibly, the most dominant player of the current post-LeBron era). But to not even have Jokic as a 2nd? Come on, you’ve got to put some love on that man.

Here are the most basic stats known to man, Joker is about to become the first player in league history with 2000 points-1000 rebounds-500 assists in a single season. Last I checked those are the three foundational stats everyone uses. Secondly he has those numbers because he will play 7-8 games more than the other two players. In a race this close that is the decisive factor, Joker has done it 7-8 more games. than either of the other two. If we get into the advanced metrics it isn't even close.

7:50 I don’t understand how Joy makes this argument, there’s clearly more talent on the 6ers than the nuggets. They are both heavily reliant on the star, but there’s been no relief man coming for Jokic, Embiid got Harden, and while not 100% even 75% of his game is 90th percentile NBA basketball. Jokic has had a really good rookie and Aaron Gordon, who’s been awesome on the perimeter and in transition but outside of that it’s been Jokic being the maestro of the offense and anchoring the paint with purely his knowledge and positioning, he’s not nearly athletic enough to be as effective as he has been on defense. Stop playin.
