I LOVE this rectangle granny blanket, Christa! Finally, a starting rectangle that doesn't have big gaping holes in that starting row & looking weird!! Thank YOU, Christa! I prefer rectangle granny blankets, but that ugly starting row has kept me on square grannies..... until now!! Gotta laugh as I played yarn chicken & lost!! After 2x250g Caron Skinny Cakes I had only the last 5 granny trios to go! SIGH! Thankfully I had nearly the exact colour in another yarn to complete it! YAY! It will go to our local DV shelter. I really enjoyed this tutorial. I particularly like that you explain why you are doing certain things. I'm going to ask my daughter to choose the yarn colors she likes and make this blanket for her home!

I wanted to make rectangle granny blanket for my nephew but couldn’t decide on most of the ones I looked at…took a look again last night/early morning but still was not sure, then here you are popping out the perfect one. I started doing a rainbow one and it kept getting bigger so I decided to keep going lol. Now that I mastered the basic granny square, I'm going to go crazy with them.

Beautiful and yet so easy to fo thanks to your detailed tutorial. How would it look in a self striping yarn cake? The colours wouldn't match up at every row though but it should blend in

I love this blanket and want to give it a try. Could you please tell me the exact names of the colors of this ICE Saver yarn? Also, you said you used 6 1/2 skeins. Is this 2 skeins each of the 3 colors and if so, what color is the 1/2 skein? I cannot find this yarn in stores so want to be sure I make my online order correctly. I finished my giant granny blanket and i boarder it with rose buds and border with gray yarn. The body of the blanket is Pink and red 4 rows one rowof cream and 4 rows of gray. Did that 4 times So my blanket came out 56x60

Why can't I find the brand of yarn that you used on your beautiful afghan and also the colors you used and how much yarn you used on this one? I've searched and searched through all the imfo to no avail😢 Can you please help me, thank you so much❤
My tension is soooo loose that I'm using a small size up and a hook size down 😅 such is life. I'm also super cheap so I use a itty little piece of yard from another project tied in a bow as my stitch marker
I loved this tutorial at first but i wanted to keep going at the end of round 2 but didn’t know what to do. As a beginner this was very confusing to try to figure out and after 30 minutes of going back and rewinding, I am abandoning this project.
