One problem. Those are freshwater oysters and obviously freshwater pearls. Not saltwater. Come on man you don't gotta lie to kick it. Your channel is cool enough as it is. By doing this you're spreading misinformation about the environment and the animals that live there.
I may be considered a hater for this, but you can clearly tell those were purchased and opened on the beach. The flesh is dehydrated and leathery. Those are old and influenced to create pearls by humans. Love you catch ‘em but this is a reach if I have seen one.
I’m pretty sure he’d be contradicting his whole channel of nurturing and breeding fish, if these were caught and opened. He’s doing a good job by faking it honestly
This is not an accurate statement. I personally have caught fresh water muscles that have pearls in them, they're a copper colored, they Were not seeded. Caught them live out of the river. I've caught them out of ponds also I can speak for that at the very least. Freshwater muscles also make pearls. Now as for the video.....😂 no guarantees
Only about 1 in 10,000 wild oysters hold pearls and are usually found in water between 8 to 35 feet so you almost never find them alive that close to the shore. Usually the only clams you find on the beach in one piece are called mudders because they’re just empty shells filled with mud.
Bro I have this spot that near me that holds a pool of water when the tide goes out, it's absolutely filled with huge oysters ranging from like 8-12 inches. Are they still good to eat that large? Could they contain pearls? So I just did a little googling and apparently thier "giant pacific oysters" which would make sense as I'm finding them on the west coast
So I really hope that you checked to make sure you could just slaughter off all these wild clams for something you most certainly can afford to buy online. Seriously you make it hard to fallow you sometimes. You say your about wild life and loving it, and save it, but look what you doing! Your encouraging others to just go hunt down certain animals that are already struggling. Just stop.
The colors represent a type of fresh water clam that clings to mud and rock, also they were incredibly dehydrated and starved because the flesh of one of them was ragged and leathery
clam muscle whatever. this guy is the absolute worst. have you seen his fish? and that crazy maniacal laugh still haunts me. someone needs to stop this guy
Thats fuckin awesome but id kinda feel bad ripping them open and just digging out their pearls lmao i wonder if they feel it but those pearls are sweet looking forsure. I wonder can u eat those? If so and u do eat them after then i guess thats better but does it kill them when u rip them Open and dig the pearls out? I wonder 🤔
United States Fisheries poaching without a license harvesting out-of-season endangered species and wanted waste. It's also fixed clams don't sit on the top of the sand
I've eaten oysters all my 64 years. Many many oyster. I've found 1 when I was about 12 or 13. It was very small and mishaped but nevertheless a pearl One in my lifetime.
U need to teach the gurl finding perfectly round PURPLE, PINK, BLK, etc,. color pearls what they actually look like!!😂😂😂 Her pearls come from Dollar Store oysters!!😂😂😂
Okay, suspending disbelief and pretending this ISN'T another plant and "find" video for social media clout lol... The only way you'd find SEVERAL oysters or clams containing MULTIPLE pearls would be if you stumbled across somebody's farm lol, in which case you're now stealing 🤣
I CAN'T be that this Video is Legit...99% of all pearl's exsist becouse there are People that put a Kernel and the Oyster will do it in Year's Work and if you are lucky you get a Midnight or a even rarer Pink Pearl... Pearl's DO NOT come from Sandkorns!
Zack, I knew that you weren’t a conservationist at all but this is totally pathetic and I will unsubscribe to your account for number one buying in endangered clam and killing it and two being completely fake on your channel
I have been in Tampa a bunch of times and if u hit the gulf at like 4am or after a storm u will find them washed up on the beach. I never tried to open them but it was the first time in 42 years of my life that I found a full clam / muscle that size.
Loved comment "Finding things I stuck in the mud" This can't be a fake - his last video had his tiny turtles sliding down a plastic playschool toy. That clam was dead, rubbery and he stuck a pearl in that clam just 4 views👍
