I enjoy your videos. I’ve watched you for a few years. Your content is informative and entertaining. Unfortunately I have some criticism for you. This is the second video this season I’ve seen where I felt you did a poor job getting a big fish back in the water. It is exciting to catch big fish but you catch many fish and probably shouldn’t get so giddy and in need of a scale and tape measure. Maybe put a tape mark on your rod for a quick size check. Your catch is already on video. When getting it back in the water it appears you are moving this fish in the water yet its mouth is held up and no water moving through the gills. When the fish slipped out of your hand the fish rolled on its side. Eventually you got the tail and it appeared to swim away. Several weeks back you caught the “50” on the jetty. After some excited extended fanfare you eventually got the fish to the shoreline next to the jetty. The surf was rough and it was going to be a challenge to revive the fish. It appeared there you did the same thing. Moving the fish with its head up above the water. You can watch it in your own video. That fish slipped out of your hands and got washed away. I made no comment on that video but several others noticed the same thing and did comment. This is just my opinion on my observation.

By the way I apologize for all the annoying “trolling “ I did over the last 12 month . I’m gonna have to backtrack and try to figure out a way to remove them all.. to make a very long story short . You were really kind and patient with my kids when purchasing a few “items” at a “store” and I saw the real person behind the YT channel. For the last 15-20 yrs , they hit the Delaware bay , and shoot offshore, we rarely see this here in ocean city md anymore, even by boat in legal range

Maybe, just maybe, there’s a reason for doing that. Perhaps, turning the fish into the current? Perhaps, water draining down the beach? Perhaps, incoming swell and instead of the fish getting hit sideways and slipping out of his hand, he lifts the fish to get the fish straight and in line with the incoming water? Perhapppssssssssss, you like pointing out the problem in everything? PERRHAPPSSSSS, you weren’t there or in any of the other situations you’re talking about to understand why things happen the way they happen?

Prior to Hurricane Sandy and all the beach replenishment projects that is what New Jersey fall surf fishing was all about for all the years I fished LBI and Island Beach State Park. I’m glad you had a chance to enjoy this great fishery. Happy Thanksgiving!!

Those jetties north of the Shark River inlet are treacherous! Make sure you have corkers and you're under 40 unless you are in very good shape.
