Going into this game I remember thinking, “Well, Halladay just threw a no-hitter so that’s not gonna happen again” and feelin pretty good about our chances. Luckily, Cody Ross showed us that he was not invincible and gave us the confidence boost that would carry us for the whole series. Cody Ross... forever Giant.
I always considered this the REAL 2010 World Series. No disrespect to the rangers, but for those that were too young or don't remember, the phillies were one of the best teams in baseball during this era. This was their series to lose; NO ONE thought we were gonna get pass them and, to their credit, it was a helluva series. Also, fuck utley.
@@deadhardy While some of the guys (Crawford, Belt) were still works in progress, the 2012 team probably had a better overall offense and better players. The 2010 team had more overall power. Fontenot and Sanchez didn't have a lot of pop but all of the other position players in this lineup (plus Renteria) had at least one HR in the playoffs. Posey, Huff, Burrell, Torres, Ross, Uribe and even Sandoval all had double-digit HR totals in the regular season.
