I had a college exam during this game. I was reviewing my notes in the hallway when all the classes before mine came out checking their phones and going Posey hit a grand slam! Buddy and I finished our exams and ran to his dorm to finish watching it. Awesome day got an a on the exam too!
I was in college for this game as well. It was my sophomore year, and I didn't even try to come up with an excuse for missing class. I told my parents (both die hard giants fans) afterwards that I missed all of my classes for the day in order to watch, and they told me that I would have been crazy not to
I have a similar story. I was in college anatomy lab. I saw Posey hit that slam on my phone and yelled out in a dead silent lab session. I sneaked out to watch the last few innings at home which was close to campus.
Bluejays Sportshouse I’m pretty sure also Latos said something along the lines of he hates San Francisco and their fans are terrible, which makes his losing so much sweeter
@@bluejayssportshouse56 Latos hated the Giants with a passion and even broke Dave Flemming’s car window with a baseball. Guy was just a straight asshole. That grand slam basically ended his career
Pagan's catch to end the 8th might be the greatest Giants postseason defensive play this side of Mays. If he doesn't make that catch, it most likely gets by Pence and the Giants probably don't win.
Being a S.F. Giants fan since I was old enough to feel the pinch of every loss, and I got pinched a lot, especially the 7 game loss to the Angles. When the Giants won their first title in 2010 it was my first experience of a World Series title and the emotions that I felt actually caught me off guard. I knew I would be pumping my fist and jumping for joy, but the tears of happiness , 😢 i never saw it coming. It was special because I will never experience that type of feeling again. You only win your first title as a fan once
This was the most stressful game I had ever seen up until that point of my life.. sure we were up 6-0.. but the Reds didn’t give up.. chipping away little by little and it seemed like every inning they had men on. Up til the very end the intensity was so memorable to me.
Watched the first 6 innings at a bar that opened up super early in the AM. considering how early it was, the dive bar was pretty packed and rowdy with fellow Giants fans... was drinking bailey's and coffee for the duration. then after the granny, met up with friends at a pizza bar to watch the rest of the game. great times.
Oh my god I totally forgot about the signed baseball thing. That grandy was so great for so many reasons, and this is perhaps the best one. Friggin Latos. Ha!
I remember I was in 8th grade and I left 2nd period and had a cool science teacher playing the game I walk in a few pitches later posey with the slam I’ll never for over that moment
4:23 That home ump was terrible. Most his strike calls were waaaaaaayy outside. MLB really needs robo umps. They got to get these calls right, especially in the playoffs.
