@@jelqotheclown If you learn about them you'll really love them. They're not like other apes, and not aggressive like chimps & gorillas. Gibbons are weird in that although they're smaller, they have some similarities with humans: walking upright, and living in couples of two (3 with a kid) unlike other apes who live in tribes, etc.
@@jelqotheclown You're right. Orangutans too are not aggressive unless threatened. This makes the 2 species somehow similar to each other, and I especially like the kids of the two play together. ☺
You can see them in Malaysia. They're very cute but also very annoying. One of them stole my sister's water bottle and then proceeded to spray the water in her face before running away. A moment I wish I captured on camera lol.
This is probably how people came up with ideas about goblins and things like that lol like way back In history seeing one of these guys distant relative running around on the ground 😂.
Cameraman: WOOOOOOO Gibbon: WOO. "Hmm, something doesn't seem right" Cameraman: WOOOOOOO Gibbon: (grumbling) "Wait, that's the human is trying to mimick us!" Another gibbon in the distance: woooooo Gibbon: "Yeah, that's it!" WOOOOOOOOOO WoOOoO OoOOO
THE GIBBONS IS THE CUTEST, FUNNIEST, CRAZIEST, GOOFIEST, SILLIEST, MOST RANDOM CASUAL PLAYFULL CRITTERS IN THE WORLD AND I JUST LOVE THEM!!! ESPECIALLY WHEN THEY'RE HOOTIN AND THEY GO HOARSE!!! HEHEHE!!!
No you don't lol...There's a video on here of a woman who-for some reason had 2 (freaking adorable) gibbons babies in her house who were SO FAST she couldn't catch them LOL....Just watch how they swing thru tree's & imagine what they could do to curtains, hanging lights, etc..I love them
@@SalemSphynx Hy, I love them too and firmly believe that humans got a long way to go to catch up to Mr and Mrs Gibbon's and all our furry friends. Thank you
@@ernovincze2900 This is true, Apes, which include gorillas, chimpanzees and orangutans can't swim for the most part. Humans are the only apes that swim well. Gibbons are monkeys and most monkey species are good swimmers. I understand the difference between Apes and monkeys is apes have 12 ribs like humans and monkey do not. Pease don't ask how many ribs monkeys have because I haven't been able to get one to hold still long enough to count.
@@klesmer gibbons are apes (but not a part of the great apes like the other apes you mentioned) also humans need to be trained to swim but most animals have the natural instinct to swim well already.
